Great Family Movie - way better than negative Nellies are saying

9 year old, 6 years old and 2 year old all loved this movie. The audience was heard laughing very frequently. Why so many haters? I suppose if the movie isn't a pixar smash it must be terrible. Wrong! Take your kids to see the movie! Worst part of the movie was once again the pre-movie commercials. The movie was as a basic story but new and refreshing -- no global warming preaching and I loved the aliens, as absurd of an Alien world as one could think of! If your kids don't like this movie, well, why not! Nice Summer Movie For All. To Review :9 year old, 6 years old and 2 year old all loved this movie. The audience was heard laughing very frequently. OK, the movie ends and no-one, I mean NO-ONE moves! Why! They are all asleep! I get up quickly and in fact notice many people "waking" up as they realize the movie is over! How could this pretty good movie beat out the outstanding Memento for a Best Picture Nomination? This is not an Oscar movie!! The acting was good, especially the lead male actor. Sissy didn't do anything that great, just moped around angry. This movie is overrated.
