The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939)
Amazing
I just have to say, the scene where Quasimodo rescues Esmerelda from the noose is probably the greatest cinematic moment I have ever been witness to. An absolutely amazing piece of work in an absolutely amazing movie. Charles Laughton could not possibly have played the Hunchback any better, and Maureen O'Hara is so lovely that you can not help but sympathize with every male character in the movie who can not possibly have her. An amazing piece of work.
Door to Door (2002)
Excellent
This is one of the most touching movies ever to be broadcast on television (or to be made, period). William H. Macy delivers his best performance since Fargo. Had this movie been released into theaters, Macy would receive serious Oscar consideration, as would Helen Mirren as his mother with problems of her own. All in all, I laughed, cried, and cheered every step of the way. Bravo.
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
Fantastic, A 10 out of 10
I just got back from a showing of this movie, and my God, what an event. Everything and more was in this movie, from the romance to the high powered action scenes. Some people still are naysayers (mostly due to the Phantom Menace), but you have to love a movie in which Yoda kicks some serious ass and Jar Jar Binks brings about the destruction of the universe (you'll just have to go and see). This movie was incredible. Those who complain about the bad acting, wooden dialogue, and lack of story apparently haven't seen the original trilogy, which in itself is incredible. All in all, a fantastic movie.
Jaws (1987)
Fun Little Game
All in all a nice little distraction, and somewhat tough to beat, but as far as today's standards go its almost nothing. A good installment in the regular old Nintendo Game System that we all know and love. It also takes some sound effects from "Jaws: The Revenge", which is scary in its own special way.
Freddy Got Fingered (2001)
Are you people CRAZY??
If you laugh at stupid schlock like this, something is seriously wrong with your Gord (get it?). This is truly one of the most abominable pieces of filth ever invented for any purpose of any kind. Words have not yet been invented so that I may properly ravage this movie to the degree it deserves. Tom Green is probably the least talented, least funny, and least adept entertainer I have ever seen. This dreck was excruciating from start to finish, and the supposed "jokes" would offend anyone with even a remote moral conscious. I've read some pretty favorable reviews of this film from the people here on IMDb, and I have to say that I am seriously frightened. This isn't "original" or "ground breaking" stuff, this is absolute filth.
