Horribly long and boring
27 December 2023
I've struggled before with finishing a movie or a TV show I've started because they were boring and lackluster, but I've been struggling with this one for 4 days to finish it and I don't think I have it in me to do it.

It's incredibly long and boring. The characters are bland and most of them annoying , especially Lucy Gray who starts singing out of the blue every step of the way.

I think the only likeable characters are Tigris who has little to almost no screen time and Sejanus who acts like a moral compass throughout the movie and who was done dirty. Otherwise I wasn't rooting for anyone .

I kinda regret starting the movie but I wanted to give it a try. Now I want to finish it on principle because I hate living movies and shows unfinished not because I like it in any shape of form.

It's a pity because its such a downgrade compared to the previous Hunger Games. The only good thing in this movie is Viola Davis who is spectacular as always ... other than that nope, nothing.

If it weren't for the septdaughter ...
6 May 2023
The show is pretty interesting, as in it got me intrigued to know what happened to the husband and what the big secret behind all of this is , but ... and there's a big but, the stepdaughter ruins the whole experience.

She is beyond annoying and even tho her dad's new wife, Hannah is trying and giving her best, the stepdaughter doesn't put any effort in and is a big brat. I'm surprised Hannah accepts all her stupid things and behavior.

Also even tho I love Jennifer Garner her character can come as aloof and sometimes plain stupid, but at least she's trying unlike the brat of the stepdaughter.

From what I gathered the miniseries is based on the titular book, which I haven't read so don't know if the main characters are the same in it but I could turn a blind eye when it comes to Hannah, but Bailey kinda ruins everything and makes the show hard do swallow.

Clock (2023)
A total miss
4 May 2023
If you have nothing better to do or to watch, sure give it a try ... but if you can avoid it do it.

From what I've seen some people enjoyed it,but it really wasn't for me and here I'm not talking about the subject of the movie but about the execution of it.

I felt like the movie was all over the place, with a no clear direction as to what they want to deliver, not to mention the ending which was a total miss.

The acting was good, the subject was interesting but the continuity of the plot was just not there. Not to mention about the horror aspect ... it had few scenes that could be labeled as that but the movie as a whole was definitely not horror.

Dead Ringers (2023)
An overly complicated plot
4 May 2023
I came in expecting a good show but what I got was an overly complicated plot ,like my title suggests it.

From what I've gathered it's supposed to be a remake or a reinterpretation of the original Dead Ringers with Jeremy Irons, and while I haven't seen the original one I decided to give this show a try. It was a plus that Rachel Weisz was in it.

While I applaud her acting and her portrayal of the twins the overly complicated plot really threw me off. I felt like it wanted to be this sophisticated thing when it was not the case. Also the fact that it had some pretty explicit scenes didn't help either.

I lasted I think 3 and a half episodes but I had to drop it since it wasn't my cup of tea. Maybe if they wouldn't have tried to be this woke and edgy it could've turn out to be something good and watchable. Some may like it but I didn't.

Saint X (2023)
A big miss
26 April 2023
I was skeptical over this show since before it aired already had so much drama attached to it with Victoria Pedretti exiting the show and the studio not paying the crew that worked on the project, but decided to give it a try ... and nope, it's definitely not for me.

The whole concept the show it build on is annoying with all those flashbacks every other second. The acting is so bad and dull especially coming from the leading lady.

She's really not convincing , like she's struggling to be believable. I feel like Pedretti would've delivered a much better and convincing performance since she's really good with emotions and she would've raised the show to a watchable one status.

I didn't like it, it's definitely not for me ... I have to connect with the characters, to like them in order to be able to enjoy a show, and Alycia Debnam-Carey portrayal of Emily it's so not it ... it lacks spark and passion, thus making the character dull and annoying.

I will definitely won't waste my time on it.

Attrocious
26 April 2023
The whole thing is atrocious ... from the animation to the voice acting (and here I'm talking mostly about the RWBY cast). It's so sad that they let Roster Teeth butcher such a beloved franchise .... it's a big fat NO from me.

I mean who had this uninspired idea to do such crossover or at least they should've let people behind DC movies do all the work not those from Roster Teeth .... they ruined it, the animation is beyond cheap and the script is so out of character and feels like there are some OC characters and not characters from DC.

It's a total waste of one's time so if you can avoid it do it , at all cost .... I couldn't last more than 10 minutes in it because of how bad it is.

Tell Me Lies (2022– )
It's a love/hate relationship with this show
4 January 2023
I recently started watching the show and I could say I got invested in it as in I'm curious as to what happens next. I'll have to say that the 2 main leads, Lucy and Stephen are 2 of the most dislikeable characters I had the displeasure of recently seeing.

Lucy is so dumb and self-absorbed in her obsession with Stephen that she doesn't see nor cares what happens around herself and with her friends. And no matter how many red flags struck her in the face she keeps making those dumb choices and continues to allow some guy to treat her poorly.

Stephen is lacking so much charisma and he's straight up annoying... I want to smack him every time he's on my screen. Haven't read the books but not sure the actor is the best cast for this role ... there's nothing attractive or mysterious about him and he makes it really hard for the show to be watchable most of the times.

The main relationship lacks passion and chemistry between the 2 leads and the every 5 minutes sex scenes are quite off putting. I think the only likeable characters are the friends , especially Bree and Evans whom if I'm being honest I'd like to see more of.

The premise of the show is good but some times it's poorly executed. I'm hoping for maybe a recast for s2 for Stephen character with someone who is more fitted for this role. I have nothing against Jackson White since it's my first time seeing him in something, but this role it's definitely not for him.

This is one of those shows with which you have a love/hate relationship, so hopefully s2 will do better.

When one character ruins the whole thing
1 November 2022
For me the character Abby Rivers ruined the whole movie. She's one of the most annoying and frustrating characters I have had the displeasure of recently come across.

I don't know how she's portrayed in the books since the movie is based on a book but in the movie she's horrible ... a pushover, a doormat and annoyingly flat. I've seen people praise Elsie Fisher but I'm not familiar with her work so I'll chose to pin this on the material she was given to work with.

I really liked the premise and I think it could've been a really good thing but overall the movie seems rushed and feels like something is missing. I really liked Christopher Lowell tho. He was a fresh of breath air and I'm bummed his screen time wasn't longer.

Overall the movie is not terrible (at least for me) but it's also not one that I'd come back to rewatch it ... so it's a one time thing if you're really bored.

Game, Set, Love (2022 TV Movie)
Utter waste of time
12 September 2022
I tried watching it but couldn't even last 10 minutes in. The actors have 0 chemistry and the acting is beyond bad plus the plot is weak. I know it's a Hallmark movie and some would say that the standards aren't too high for them but some movies are quite pleasant for a lazy Sunday in.

Also the fact that the Harmon brothers are linked to this project make it seem like its a total case of nepotism at its finest. Probably Richard Harmon did his sister a favor but it shows he didn't put any effort into his acting and it's dull and he comes off as bored and wanting to be anywhere other than the set of this movie.

I'd suggest anyone who wants to watch this to maybe take a nap ... you'd be more satisfied by that than this movie.

Brazen (2022)
Waste of time
15 January 2022
Being Friday evening and seeing that this movie was pretty hyped up I decided to give it a try .... bad idea. This movie was beyond bad .... the plot was weak and the plot twist was non-existent. I figured it out the who did it within the 10 minutes of the movie.

The acting was equally bad .... throughout the entire movie I had the feeling that it's a cheap cheap movie (not that it wasn't but at least with other movies they at least try to mask it).

I think I managed to watch like 30 minutes of it and the rest was skip-skip-skip since I don't like leaving movies and shows alike unfinished ... but yeah, overall it was a bad experience and I regret wasting my time on it.

Love Me (I) (2021– )
Something different but still really good
31 December 2021
I had my doubts when I came into it because I'm not a big fan of foreign productions so this one being recommended by a friend I decided to give it a try. And I can honestly say that I was not disappointed and it ended being a lovely surprise. Everything was spectacular from the casting (loved Bob Morley and Hugo Weaving in it) to the stories they show told and the beautiful scenery of Melbourne.

So everyone who had anything negative to says about it, its pretty clear they don't know how to appreciate good art. As for those who still have doubts I'd suggest you give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
