Both my Dad and my Dad's friend told me how good this sitcom was, and despite the fact I'd completely forgotten about it until a week later when I bought all the series on DVD, they're both not wrong! One of the funniest sitcoms the BBC has ever made imo! BBC3 is currently repeating this show on Saturday nights too! My favourite characters are Donna, Janet and Gaz, and it's also the first time I've seen both Will Mellor (especially since I'd seen him in both No Offence and Coronation Street) and Sheridan Smith in anything that isn't a drama! Best BBC Three sitcom ever! It's like the UK version of Friends!

This is the best My Family xmas episode! It is one of my favourite episodes and Daniela Denby-Ashe looks really pretty in the wedding dress she had to wear as Janey! In the episode Janey gets married to someone's who old enough to be her father (but then leaves him 2 mins later for a waiter), despite the fact that they have only each other for 10 days, meanwhile Nick is supposedly is on an adventure in the Far East and asks his parents for loads of money, but in the end Michael is seen filming him in his bedroom! Great episode, if you haven't seen it you should!

I'm currently enjoying.watch series 12 on BBC 1 on Friday nights. My Mum and Dad got me the series 1 to 7 boxset on DVD for my 24th birthday the other week too, so I'm currently working my way through that at the moment as well! I'm currently on series 6 at the moment on the DVDs, and once I've finished watching those I plan on watching from the 2015 Christmas special up until the end of series 11 too! This is the only decent sitcom left on the BBC now, and it's one of my two favourite sitcoms now as well. To those saying it is canned laughter however, it actually isn't canned laughter as it was filmed in front of a live audience!

This is a good episode but I wonder how they managed put electricity into Janey's dress, I bet the producers told Daniela Denby-Ashe that she would have to wear a dress made of electricity whilst filming the episode. Also Janey tends to play the jealous act during the episode, as no one remembers her birthday and as a result, it causes her to get jealous of all the attention Abi and Roger are getting from everyone.

This is more of a warning and not a review imo (hence why I've rated it 0 stars), as do not try searching for it on BBC iPlayer (and I reckon it's been banned from future repeat screenings on BBC 1 as well, so if you want to watch it, you will have to buy the five Christmas specials DVD as it's on there on disc 2) as it's been banned due to the appearance of Rolf Harris, however the scenes with Paul Bown (who I also thought was good in his roles in Coronation Street and the film The Damned United) are good tho.

The reason why this is one of the best Xmas specials of My Family is because of three scenes - the one where where we see Janey for the first time in the episode, the scene where Janey is just licking her fingers whilst the rest of the family (along with Roger and the vicar) are in a food fight, and the one where Ben and Richard are fighting in the school hall culminating in the kids playing the Three Wise Men having to walk over Ben 🤣🤣🤣😘🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If the 2009 flashback episode can be released on DVD, then why can't this one?

Don't get me wrong it is a good episode (and for me is the official return of Janey following her year at uni, despite the fact it's just archive footage of her and all other characters except Ben and Susan), but I don't get why this isn't on the series 5 dvd? For that reason it's a 9 out of 10 from me.
It's just like The Weakest Link meets The Jeremy Kyle Show 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😗

This is one of my favourite My Family episodes, thanks to the bombshell from Susan's mum Grace (My Family is the only thing I've seen Rosemary Leach in), I'm nearly in tears every time I watch it, and also with two corkers that Janey (Daniela Denby-Ashe) comes out with, the first one being : I'm glad that we're on national television and it's not Crimewatch 🤣🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂, and the second one being : it least it didn't come out on national television Gran, oh what it just did 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

This episode is one of my favourite My Family episodes, primarily because of the scene at the end with the alarm clock - that scene makes me laugh every time!, but also it's good to see Jeff Rawle as a nice guy unlike his Hollyoaks character Silas! However because of the scenes with Ben and Susan in quarantine, I'm sure this episode predicted COVID!

My Mum and Dad got me into this! This series is so hilarious, it's my favourite BBC sitcom, I've recommended it to so many people! It's one of those sitcoms that once you've started watching it, you can never get bored of watching it again and again! Also I have a massive crush on Janey (played by Daniela Denby-Ashe of course) and as a result, I have a massive crush on Daniela Denby-Ashe herself! I'm not too keen on series 3 and series 4 as Janey is at uni, but I like all the other series. I've got all the series on DVD but I'm also having to watch it on the BBC iPlayer as well as there is an episode on there from series 5 that isn't on the series 5 DVD. My favourite episodes are the one where the entire family (including Roger, the lodger Alfie and Susan's mum's boyfriend Brad) all appear on The Weakest Link, the one where Nick is working at a funeral directors and manages to get fired after stealing a coffin, crashing three hearses and embalming his own leg, the one where Janey returns from Uni, the one where Susan and Janey swap lives for a week and Janey loses her marbles whilst pretending she's a housewife, the one where Susan and Janey are applying for a children's TV role and it ends up in Susan having Janey across her lap and spanking Janey and the Xmas one that's set in 2039.
