Stargate Universe (2009–2011)
10/10
Probably the best Stargate TV series
5 December 2009
This show is excellent. I love the cast, and the characters. From Rush (Robert Carlyle) to Eli (David Blue) and, of course, Young (Justin Louis). Also to glad to see Jack (Richard Dean Anderson) is back! The series starts out exploring the elemental necessities that the crew will need to survive, which is so basic it's brilliant! At first I did not care for Ronald (Jamil Walker Smith), but as the series has progressed so far I'm really starting to like this character.

The tension between Rush and the rest (most of) the crew is very intriguing. On one hand Rush got them all into this mess (reminiscent of Voyager), but at the same time he's pretty much the sole crew member who can keep them all alive and breathing, drinking, and eating aboard Destiny with his knowledge of the Ancients.

This show, thus far(ep6), is not especially novel. The problems they face are certainly not very unique, and the solutions are fairly predictable. What is great is how the characters deal with the problems, and face their own personal challenges. There's a lot of character building, and it's fun to watch. It certainly has the best CG of all Stargate(s). And some of the best actors, too!

What's with all the hate for this show? People too simple-minded to appreciate it! If you want to listen to an obnoxious nerd that babbles endlessly about stuff that's completely meaningless... and watch actors, if one would call them that, attempt acting(they should be ashamed).... Go watch Atlantis reruns. If you enjoy intelligent, well-written, character-driven shows, then SGU is for you.

Funny, action-packed, addicting, and loads of fan service!

This show is about the Juken martial art club being a long nemesis of the Executive Council, which seek to eliminate the Juken club or its members. Getting themselves caught up in this mess Bob and Souichiro, long time friends/fighting buddies, and street-fighter style thugs, join the Juken club and get themselves caught up in the long feud between the Executive Council and the Juken club.

Much fighting in this anime is done simply for the thrill of the challenge, striving to be the strongest & toughest fighter there is or ever was. Always looking for opponents that are stronger, tougher, and faster than the last. Characters have access to chi in various forms: fire, wind, and perhaps the ultimate weapon, the Dragon's Eye. Much super-human fighting takes place throughout the series.

While remaining a highly comedic-based series, love, betrayal, revenge, and many other major themes take place through the series, as well as nearly constant fan service! Highly recommended for a good laugh, and thorough entertainment.
