A regional film that feels Bollywood graded
8 March 2023
I was more fond of gujarati plays than movies. But Gujarati Cinema is evolving. This movie shows it as one of the example.

A story about a family who gets entrapped by a man who takes over mind control of a family member and suspense thrill ride starts on. The story revolves around the family's journey to outcome this unexpected crisis.

As far as storytelling goes, it is really good but could've been better specially the part where initial process of hypnosis starts. The other issue is that language accent. For a very long time I have seen that Gujarati cinema always have very formal accent of the language. Where as street language is less formal. It sounds like text book reading.

Everyone who portrayed their characters did amazing job.

I highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes to see regional cinema. You will not be disappointed.

Jake Sully is new Dominic Toretto
27 December 2022
Pandora world the beauty of the film & revisiting on big screens is amazing. But that's about it with this sequel.

The story is about Jake Sully who tries to lay low and protect his family and community of Pandora from Colonel Quaritch. Colonel Quaritch who now has avatar body and mission to come after Jake Sully to destroy him.

Sadly story execution is not done well. The length of the film is bit exhausting. The effects of the film is good but gives vibe of gameplay more than a film in today's time. Music and story highlights of the first film is used mostly which seems bit repetitive. RealD 3D isn't good. IMAX 3D is better if you like 3D films. Sadly film isn't projected in HDR or Dolby Vision.

This film proved that James Cameron can't mimic what Peter Jackson or Christopher Nolan are able to do when it comes to creating trilogies.

The right sequel
24 November 2022
Whoever blamed Bollywood that remake is destroying it, they need to see this film and understand that it's not remake, it's the right execution that succeeds.

The film tells story about how a father saves his family and himself from an inescapable crime. Watch the failure of powerful & intelligent investigative effort and still feel satisfied with the climax.

Ajay Devgn, Tabbu, Akshay Khanna, & Kamlesh Sawant delivers their character so well. Others were just supporting characters who either didn't get enough to show their part and lack their convincing ability. I wish if Ajay Devgan had actually kept his look from the first film. It's still an awesome movie to see.

Make a plan to watch this one.
6 October 2022
A story about how two co-sharing workplace individuals with past of failed relationships fall in love despite they have very less in common and their rivalry turns into love saga.

Netflix is a platform for such story to be portrayed and come to audience around the world. Though climax is bit predictable, I personally enjoy every time Ritesh Deshmuch plays serious roles than his traditional comedy comfort zone. Tamanna is good as well. Her accent is bit heavy in hindi but her acting is top notch.

I recommend this movie to those who are couples and the one who are planning to be one. It's more of relatable story for them.

Perfect movie for Hypocrites
20 September 2022
My sincere apology to everyone who must have felt bad as soon as they saw the word "hypocrites", I intentionally wrote it down because I know most who love this movie is not even going to follow the message this movie delivered.

It's a film about obsession to get their daughter in private English medium school so she can get the best possible education & survive in today's world. Explore & enjoy the journey where they finally learnt why it's not necessary.

The entire team of this film must be applauded for such an amazing concept they worked on.

I just feel that we as an audience will enjoy this film, but will not even follow what the film is teaching us.

If you are a parent and a concerned, one about their child education, don't miss out this movie.

I cried. That's how Impactful the movie is.
18 September 2022
A story revolving around a power hungry politician who goes on to eliminate Punjabi community post Indira Gandhi's assassination in Delhi. Watch how Jogi comes to their rescue risking his and his friends lives.

Writing of the film is to the point. I couldn't see any character which were portrayed had flaws. Hats off to the entire team of Jogi. Music or background score isn't top notch but keeps you engaging with the film.

I truly wished they had shown what happens to the main antagonist in end but that's just my curiosity.

I highly recommend everyone to watch this. I am not sure if the film ever released in theatres, but it deserves to be.

Didn't live upto the expectations
5 July 2022
When the first teaser came out, The movie created a huge hype. When the first trailer came out it's sort of felt bad though. When I watched it, Didn't live up to my expectation.

I'm not good with history so I'm not gonna dig out anything and say that this from distorted any kind of historical events. I'm gonna consider this movie a motion picture based on historical facts. It seems like the film lack of proper writing which caused the overall crafting of the film to be bad as well. Majority of the artist involved in the film have done really good in terms of their part. But the film does not keep you engaged even after you see a good stunning visuals. Background score of the film it's not emotionally strong. There's only a couple of songs that you may like or might want to listen but the rest are OK.

I watched this phone on Amazon prime and I can say that it's not even worth wasting time to see it on there.

Terminatorized Indian Robocop with Alexa built-in
28 May 2022
A film about how a dying soldier who was tranformed in futuristic technology to create safer India from vicious criminals.

John Abraham has done various action heavy movies, this one goes above and beyond since it is having touch of science fictional technologies.

The film has well executed action sequences and I like the well researched accents for characters which were playing negative roles.

The entire team of this film have done a good job on this project. There were few clichés but still worth watching.

Wrong day of movie release ruined it's potential success
21 May 2022
This movie is a story about a father who proved himself as a good sportsman for sake of his son.

Since there was already version released and available for everyone to see, majority assumed that it failed due to that reason at box-office. But the real reason why this film didn't amused audience was wrong approach of marketing and release. It wasn't a movie about cricket and sportsmanship. It was a father/don movie and their bond. It would have done excellent if the film had been presented for father's day.

Everyone involved in the film did their part right.

It was bit slow in the beginning which couldn't been fixed.

But it's definitely a good movie and not to miss.

It's a good movie.
8 May 2022
After seeing Christopher Nolan's trilogy, I never thought that I will ever like any other version of batman movies because of good cast, music, and storytelling. But this movie took me by surprise.

I liked the story, grown fond of background music, acting and different approach.

Though the dark knight trilogy will stay in top of my list of batman movies, I still recommend anyone who hasn't seen this to watch it. Specially to the post-millennial generation.

Good movie but with one issue
11 March 2022
I like the fact the content of this movie for accepting same sex individuals. The film has good entertainment as well.

Film is bit slow at times. But gets engaging in the end.

But the issue is, homosexuals are also couples just like heterosexual. There is a husband and a wife. But The movie doesn't have that. They just put two people together who doesn't act like homosexual couples.

Since the film makes awareness for everyone regardless of their sexuality, It's worth watching and understanding the trauma of someone who can't express and experience their sexuality.

There are lots of grey area in this version.
22 November 2021
I don't know what's with Disney trying to create this real life looking effects and pouring their best animated movies charm into it.

I don't mind 3D animated movies that could look like detailed video gameplay but thats about it. Anyways, this movie lacks performance from star cast that the original one had. Specially Jafar could have been casted properly by Disney.

I couldn't even watch this movie second time which says a lot.

Performances worth praising
29 October 2021
The film could have been better screenplay wise. But performances are really amazing. Manoj Bajpayee and Sakshi Tanwar's scene at the climax scene is the highlight of the film. They poured their entire soul into that scene.

Chehre: Could have been better.
3 October 2021
A movie about fictitious court game in a house and bringing justice to those who escaped committing their crime.

Interesting concept but poorly executed. There were slow places on the screenplay. It was supposed to be a suspense thriller but was predictable in so many places of the story.

As far as performance is concerned, apart from Rhea Chakroborty everyone else nailed it. Even Siddhanth Kapoor was better than her. She still needs to learn how to act. Amitabh Bachchan and Imran Hashmi got decent opportunity to portray their characters and have interesting on screen magic. However Annu Kapoor showed his best and was dynamic in his role. Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghuveer Yadav and Samir Soni didn't get enough to contribute their excellence.

Overall, its definitely one time watch for sure. But if you can't see it in theatres, it's not really a big miss. Amazon Prime is still better platform for it.

Thank you Netflix for keeping movie like this
12 June 2021
I watched this movie recently on Netflix, and I am so touched by it. Such a positive and encouraging movie.

The struggle of a kid who doesn't feel comfortable going to toilet in rail tracks. And his journey to make his private washroom by working hard and support of individuals around him is really compelling.

Every artist played their part so well.

It's so sad this movie didn't even receive a single award.

The Big Bull (2021)

"The Big Bull" couldn't justify the daring name it possesses.
7 May 2021
I watched the film hoping to see spine chilling film. This film is based on Harshad Mehta's 1992 scam and had all the right ingredients to shape up as a super hit movie like Scam 1992 web series. But it didn't. It actually failed for me.

1) Writing of the film wasn't as impactful as it could have been. The duration of the film may have brought issues for writing team to cut down some important elements which makes it difficult for audience to stay connected with the film.

2) Music of the film brings emotion for audience which this film couldn't deliver. It was mellow and dull rather than exciting and thrilling.

3) I felt the look of characters could have been done more well. But to avoid controversy, they end up messing up this part as well.

4) As far as performance is concerned, most have done good job apart from Ileana D'Cruz and Sohum Shah. They failed to convince their portraying their characters.

I can't recommend this film to anyone.

Udaan: Inspiration film but lacks conviction
4 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
To dream transportation accessibility for everyone is very inspirational. I have to say this movie brought very good concern out.

However what doesn't convince me is the possibility that it's doable at a cost of Rs. 1 per fare. Average bus fare costs more in India than that.

Paresh Rawal's voice over for hindi version is done so wrong. Those who are his fans will acknowledge it and wont even understand the need of having someone to do his dubbing when he could have done it.

The film is worth watching for it's attempt in focusing transportation crisis.

Coolie No. 1:- Remake Disaster No. 1
29 December 2020
After watching this movie you will appreciate Govinda's Coolie no. 1 much much more than ever. I think David Dhawan's attempt on remaking this one was the worst decision he ever made. Varun is a very nice actor and he does know his part well but this movie doesn't allow him to show his caliber to the max. Paresh Rawal is more funnier than Varun Dhawan. Sara Ali Khan is just wasted here. Javed Jaffery could have done better if he was given more opportunity. It's not even worth watching on Amazon prime never mind the theaters.

A good idea that was ruined

I can't believe Akshay kumar went along with this movie. Poor execution and over estimated confidence on weak storyline. Sharad Kelkar is really super even better than Akshay kumar.

Amazing realistic love story
23 December 2019
When I watched it for the first time, I didn't like the end because I couldn't understand the end. I grew up seeing hero always succeed in majority of the romantic movie. But this one was different and real. As time went by, I started to understand the end was right.

This movie is really good.

Trailer doesn't show an important part that the film is about, but the mystery is worth it. The film is engaging over all but at certain place it feels slow. I don't want to ruin your experience by exposing details. But do watch it.
