First saw this film at a theater in NM in 1973.

The first time I saw Electra Glide in Blue was the year it came out. The theater lobby had a life-size cardboard Robert Blake standing next to a REAL Harley, identical to the movie's bike. When I saw this film in '73, I thought Blake would become a huge star...why didn't he? Blake makes us believe in Wintergreen and LIKE him. I'm watching the movie again, as I write; it's still entertaining, touching, a little scary, and a fabulous reflection of life in the early 70's in New Mexico & Arizona.

Homeboy (1988)

Haunting musical score emphasizes old-fashioned story
15 September 2001
Rourke's Homeboy is accentuated with an excellent musical score. The story might appear "old fashioned" (i.e. 1940's US) to some, but watch the movie again and delve deeper - there is more than first meets the eye. Rourke's shy, awkward Johnny Walker is a memorable character. Walken fans shouldn't miss this one.

The Last Run (1971)

Negative comments indicate viewers missed the point
12 August 2001
The Last Run is a psychological analogy and public expression of George C. Scott's complicated, intense relationships with Colleen D. and Trish V. Although low-key and ahead of its time, The Last Run is entertaining if you enjoy adult drama which examines details of relationships, emotion, fear of death, determination to succeed, and guilt. George C. Scott's characterization of an aging criminal is intensely quiet and effective.
