Eternals (2021)
4/10
A beautiful tragedy
4 February 2024
Eternals could have been incredible, and there are many amazing factors in this film. The visuals are wonderful, the characters have potential, and the director clearly has talent, with some absolutely beautiful shots. It truly is a beautiful movie. But Eternals being a movie may be its biggest flaw.

The characters were full of potential; they still have some potential. But their stories, personalities, personal struggles, inner thoughts and feelings, major plot details, all of it is rushed, to the point where it pretty much ruins this film. Sometimes they just say a character's detail instead of showing it off naturally or within the story. At times, the film and its script treats the audience like we're stupid. The absurd amount of characters in this film is more of a disadvantage than anything. This film probably would have worked much better as a series, or a multi-part film series, allowing it to span its plot across multiple episodes or movies, and in likely six hours minimum.

This movie is a prime example of how important plot and characters are to a movie, because if you don't have that, everything else you have almost doesn't matter.

We Baby Bears (2022– )

Good show, mediocre follow-up
7 February 2022
We Baby Bears, without considering the original show, is a decent show. It's art style and animation is well done, and the bears are cute, the voice acting is great, and the premise is interesting.

But as a prequel/spin-off to the original series, it's mediocre. While I do like the bears, setting, and art style, it is basically a polar (or ice) opposite of the original We Bare Bears. Ice Bear is more talkative than I'd want him to be, the premise of the show doesn't make canonical sense compared to the much more realistic nature of the original series (or as realistic as a show with walking and talking bears can be).

This series is good on its own and can definitely find a supportive audience, and is better than other shows that aged down characters. But as a prequel to one of the most unique Cartoon Network series, yeah it's pretty iffy. This show probably wouldn't be getting such a mixed reaction if the original series was still running, and not having this basically be a replacement. While I still somewhat enjoy this new series, this also just makes me want a continuation of the original We Bare Bears, even in comic form.

Hey all, Bad Film here!
14 January 2022
This movie is awful. It's uninteresting, unfunny, and 8-Bit Christmas is just a superior gaming-themed movie.

But the appearance of Scott the Woz did save this movie from getting a 1/10 from me. In fact, he's the only reason I know about this move. His appearance just didn't feel like it wasn't taken advantage of though, even if his cameo was kinda funny, and the only part of the movie I laughed at.

Decent show, awful artstyle.
4 December 2021
The show itself is not bad, some of the jokes are funny, and I never feel like this show could be considered bad, just kinda average.

But the artstyle is awful, it feels cheap, ugly, and flat out weird compared to other Garfield media.

Overall not a bad show, but personally I'll take The Garfield Show over this any day.

Ignore the review bombers
20 September 2021
There are a lot of anonymous review bombers, but I encourage you to ignore them and see this for yourself. It's a powerful documentary that should be available to everyone.

Uncle Grandpa (2010–2017)
5/10
The worst show I'll ever like.
12 September 2021
Uncle Grandpa isn't a good show. It's kinda awful. And that's what makes it beautiful. Uncle Grandpa is a special kind of bad that makes it unbearable for some, and hilarious for others. I happen to be in the middle. It's kinda funny sometimes, it's kinda bad other times, but it's not awful. If you want a show that you could be split between hating and liking, this might be the best show for that. There's no other way of describing it. It's a bad show that you might like.

Surprisingly Funny
12 September 2021
At first this seems like a dumb silly cartoon. That's because it is one, BUT it's a good and funny dumb silly cartoon. The humor is surprisingly really good, albeit definitely not for everyone, and it's artstyle ain't bad, although the original pilot had a better one in my opinion.

Not a perfect show, but it's not meant to be. It's just supposed to be a nice breather from the more intense Steven Universe, Infinity Train, Mao Mao, or other more story-driven CN shows.

Beautiful.
9 August 2021
Omg, the animation of this series (after the first season, lol) is absolutely beautiful. Even season three's more simplistic style is very nice (and episodes don't take forever to make anymore). And the jokes of ALL the seasons are really funny.

But I do have to admit, the second half of season two does get a bit too serious for my liking, but the latest season two episode seems to have fixed that issue.

Not as funny as the pilot, but half-decent.
9 August 2021
The series is alright, it's not offensive or anything, I laugh at a few jokes, but OMG was the original pilot so much better.

Don't get me wrong, the show's fine, it's just a clear lower quality.

Also, I never liked the artstyle, always been ugly to me. That's probably just a "me" thing, and it's visually more interesting than something like Teen Titans Go or even some of Cartoon Network's better shows, but I don't like this artstyle. I'm not saying it's bad, I don't think that the artists/animators did a bad job, I personally just don't like it.

Fun show that is (sorta violent but generally) Kid Friendly.
1 March 2021
Wow, dispute the lack of blood and gore, this show can be a little extreme with the violence at times. Nothing that a 7 year old can't handle, especially with almost all characters being able to be revived, but still. Overall an extremely fun show, one of the best web shows ever. The first season might turn some people off with the first few episodes, but other than that (and a few eh episodes), this show is amazing and deserves the hugw fanbase. And it deserves more than a 7.5/10 on imdb.

Beautiful Animation can't save this disaster.
1 March 2021
While the animation is amazing and certainly the best part of the movie, the writing was really bad, and the force-in of the Kamp Koral plot just made things worse.

It doesn't capture the fun and humor or the original, and I even think that this might have been worse than the second movie if the animation in this movie wasn't better. But even then, I'd rather watch the other two SpongeBob movies than this, at least for now. The future of SpongeBob doesn't look bright.

At least this is better than Truth or Square and Alantis Squarepantis.
