Barry: starting now (2022)
Best season finale ever
There have been better episodes of tv, many of which are series finales.
But this is a mid show pause, as the crescendo builds to a fourth season that will finally unravel it all.
This is unmatched in the setup of one last ride.
Reduce the world to ash.
Jerrod Carmichael: Rothaniel (2022)
The best special I've seen in years
Transcendent, honest, and modern. A conversation about the secrets we keep, and I mean conversation. It's open, and breezy. With talk with the audience scattered throughout. But that doesn't take away from the structure, it is beautifully structured.
I won't spoil anything, despite news outlets talking about parts of the special already.
JUST WATCH IT, you won't regret it.
Incredible. Simply incredible.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Gang Carries a Corpse Up a Mountain (2021)
CHARLIE DAYYYYY
That's all I gotta say!!
Charlie Day is the heart of Sunny
He deserved an Emmy for many of the previous seasons
But this???
THIS
it'll crush me more than this episode when he is eventually snubbed.
Master of None: Moments in Love, Chapter 1 (2021)
Fantastic start, commit and watch till the end!
This show is better looked at as a film in six parts, as one episode is separated in half. We see two people during an important moment in their lives, and that sets us up to learn about these two deeply. This is fantastic, if looked at in the right context. If you watch it looking for the third misadventure of Dev finding meaning in NYC, then you'll be dissatisfied. If you go in with the intention of watching an incredible arthouse film by the same team, then you'll love it.
Give it a chance, this is the team at their best!

This is its best passage.
Master of None: Moments in Love, Chapter 5 (2021)
Fantastic, if seen in the right context.

Solos: Jenny (2021)
This was not just the best episode, but a truly jaw dropping performance
This episode being ranked second to last is shocking. Constance Wu is the only performer left with no other characters to bounce off of, and she still gives the most invigorating performance. It's funny, suspenseful, versatile, and heartbreaking. If there's any justice in the world she should win an Emmy for this. Honestly, most of these episodes are a mixed bag. But I would suggest that everyone watch this monologue, it's spectacular.
