Family Guy: The Juice Is Loose! (2009)
Season 7, Episode 9

Hits differently now.
12 April 2024
I think we all know what happened (at the time of me writing this), so I won't repeat it here, but oh boy oh boy, this is quite a fun episode to revisit NOW of all times. This used to be just an 'average' episode back in the day, but to see what this episode is like now, oh man, it is a lot better. It definitely just hits different now that OJ is gone for good, now I can actually properly enjoy this episode as I always wanted to. Wasn't able to before, but now I can. Honestly quite brilliant, to say the least. The point being, if you are considering revisiting this episode, please do so! You won't regret it!

Dahomey (2024)
A bit overhyped
2 March 2024
Not really all as good as people are making it out to be. Might be just me, but this really isn't the sort of film that I have a, sort of, deep interest in and as such I won't be able to be all that objective here. Point being, this is merely just run of the mill, typical, doesn't offer anything new to the table, which is what I was kind of hoping for judging by what others have been saying about Dahomey. Anyway, yeah, just don't really have anything else to say besides that it doesn't change anything about how I see anything. Which is fine but then also not fine at the same time, but oh well, maybe next time.

Futurama: Proposition Infinity (2010)
Season 7, Episode 4
What the Teenage Robot episode Designing Women should have been.
19 January 2024
Basically what I wrote as the title of this review. The Futurama episode Proposition Infinity is the perfect representation of how I personally feel as though the My Life as a Teenage Robot episode Designing Women should have been about and should have played out. That episode was truly disappointing as they never took the opportunity to take what is a "guilty pleasure-like" relationship to the next level, that "next level" being something that this episode of Futurama actually properly explores. This episode represents what could have been. This episode represents something I wish could happen but never did. Oh well.

*sigh*
24 December 2023
This is going to be a follow up to the review I posted of the episode Itchy & Scratchy: The Movie almost exactly 2 years ago, so bear with me.

I honestly feel as though if people are going to be praising The Owl House episode Knock Knock Knockin' On Hooty's Door, and the Adventure Time Distant Lands episode Obsidian, they should be praising this episode of The Simpsons as well. This episode had, essentially and fundamentally, the same great qualities those episodes of The Owl House and Distant Lands have. I am very disappointed this episode has a pretty low overall star rating with many people giving it 1 star. This is not a 1 star episode, it should be more like 10 stars like I'm rating here, for the reasons I just mentioned above. I'm actually quite impressed about the direction this show took with this episode, it's quite bold. Would definitely love to see more of it!

Jools's Hootenanny (1993– )
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
18 December 2023
I'm only going to ask this once and hopefully I shouldn't have to again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get Maryam Moshiri to do the countdown to New Year 2024. I think she would most definitely be the perfect fit for that countdown, have her on as a special guest of sorts. If Maryam Moshiri does not make a guest appearance anywhere in the New Year 2024 edition, I will be immensely disappointed, to the point of which 2024 will become one of the worst years of my life from the disappointment! Seriously!

I really hope Jools Annual Hootenanny takes up my request. I think we can all agree that Maryam Moshiri is the best person to do the countdown.

No, seriously.
24 November 2023
  • Can we have Codename Kids Next Door?

  • No, we have Codename Kids Next Door at home
  • Codename Kids Next Door at home:

...no, seriously, that's genuinely how I feel about this show, no joke. This has to be one of the lousiest and shameless knockoffs of a show I've ever seen in my life. I'm not even kidding about that, by the way! Oh, and not to mention back around a decade or so ago (in the early 2010's) this was shown on Pop, a Freeview channel, whereas Codename Kids Next Door (the show that this is ripping off) was on Cartoon Network, a rather premium channel. That, just about, says it all. I have terrible memories about this and now is the time for those memories to be released.

I don't know if it's just me...
10 November 2023
I don't know if it's just me or what, BUT, Tamsyn Van Alten is kind of like a heavily improved, quote unquote "plus plus" version, of Trophy Fantasy (from Teenage Euthanasia). It's like as if Monster Loving Maniacs had taken Trophy Fantasy, ironed and polished out all of the bad things about her (both in terms of looks AND personality), and out came Tamsyn Van Alten. And, you know what? I'm all for it! It's pretty cool taking a character that seems to be hated by quite a few people (in this case, Trophy Fantasy), and making that character about at least ten times better. Like damn. I had no idea that was even possible, but this show proved me wrong! That's all I can say!

WONDER WHARF!
3 September 2023
Oh my god, is that actually Wonder Wharf? It certainly looked like it from a reasonable distance away. Then I look a little bit closer at the details to the skyline including the city and the pier, and OH MY GOD! THAT ACTUALLY IS WONDER WHARF!!! What the heck are they doing here? Also I definitely didn't expect to see a crossover between that show and Disenchantment, this is so crazy! I recognise the layout of the pier and the Wonder Wharf attraction, so for it to make an appearance in this episode really gave me a good good surprise. Needless to say, this is just so cool! Thank you Disenchantment!

Nuff said.
1 August 2023
They made Lucy a very likeable character in the first movie to a very hateable character in the second movie. I think that alone shows how messed up the second movie is. If you see people saying how good the ending of the first film was and how much the second movie messed that up, they'll usually give varyingly different reasons, but the "character development" (or lack thereof, more like a "reverse character development") of Lucy just about shows it all. Of course there are many other issues with this movie. But that alone is what does it for me and is the main contributing factor to the thing that pushes me to hate this movie! That's all, nuff said, goodbye!

Watch this ASAP before you experience FOMO
24 July 2023
This is something that I demand you watch AS SOON AS POSSIBLE before you run into the issue of people spoiling this episode or you experiencing FOMO because you didn't watch it. This episode is a really big deal for many different reasons and as such it is the main thing that really defines 2023. Well this and the upcoming new season of Teenage Euthanasia, which I'll admit I have higher hopes for compared to new season of Futurama.

Look, bottom line is, this episode stays true to the show and doesn't ruin it, unlike many other reboots to many other shows. It manages to encapsulate what made Futurama great and the writers definitely knew that the viewers were going to have VERY high standards because this show is naturally a show that people have high standards for. It's definitely as good as any other episode.

JUST WATCH IT! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

I can't take it
17 May 2023
This is an incredibly awful episode of Bob's Burgers, and it is one that made me really hate Teddy, of course. My god, he was so annoying throughout that episode, causing so many delays to the road trip by stopping the car several times over for rather ridiculous reasons. Couldn't Teddy just wait until AFTER the car trip to talk with these people?!

I have to sympathise with Bob here and especially with the mental outburst he had. What was supposed to be a straight forward car trip turned out to be a complete nightmare with Teddy being so annoying all throughout. Putting myself in Bob's shoes, I would have also definitely had a mental outburst like that as well. As such, the episode throughout is just really hard to watch to the point of which I was seriously considering giving up.

WEIRDNESS ALL AROUND !!!
17 April 2023
Boy is like a cheapo off-brand version of Marco Diaz (from Star vs the Forces of Evil) and Girl is like a cheapo off-brand version of Kimberly Harris (from Duncanville). Could you imagine Marco and Kimberly doing a show with each other?! It's just... weird! And if you found that weird, you're probably going to find Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese weird! And, as mentioned earlier, in such a cheap way, like it's deliberately trying to be a knock off of another show. It's a pretty hard sell, and is not exactly easy to watch when you've watched so much Duncanville and Star vs the Forces of Evil, but is something I'd be willing to challenge myself.

Too nauseating
9 March 2023
I feel as though this show has been badly animated to the point of which I don't think I can watch it for minutes at a time, which itself is a hge problem and creates a huge barrier to entry in order to properly enjoy this show.

The main problem I have is with how the characters' eyes are drawn and shaded, and they made it seem as though most (if not every) characters look like they're about to cry, with huge tears in their eyes. It just looks so wrong. Most other shows don't even shade their characters eyes like that at all, but this show did, and they did it terribly, to the point of which makes it unwatchable. I watched 1 episode, and I probably won't watch another.

The Amazing World of Gumball: The Downer (2015)

American Dad times 1000
27 December 2022
So there was an episode of American Dad (Morning Mimosa) where Stan was able to make someone disappear from his conscience all by snapping his fingers and saying "Gone!". Very interesting concept, I shall say.

Well, here, in this episode of The Amazing World of Gumball, they managed to take it one step further and with just one wish Gumball was able to make EVERYONE disappear in just one whole go! That's way more powerful than in American Dad, where you could only get rid of one person at a time, but here, it's everyone at once! It's really interesting and really fascinating.

In essence, if you loved the American Dad episode Morning Mimosa, you're sure going to love this even more.

Definitely not impressed
11 October 2022
I just listened to the DVD commentary for this episode and I have to say, I'm definitely not at all impressed with how this episode was produced. I mean, what the hell is wrong with making this episode an hour long special? This episode had loads of potential yet they tried really hard to cram everything down into 22 minutes which caused very huge sacrifices to this episode and as a result this episode ended up not being as good as it could have been.

That's not to say this episode is really bad or anything, I just have a great problem with the producers of this episode and how opposed they are to hour long special episodes, causing this to lose its full potential and lose being an actually really great episode. At least they were transparent about that in the DVD commentary (something that other shows definitely aren't), but still.

Ohhhhh shoot
2 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Let's hope that Judy Tobin (from The Great North) never watches the 5th episode of Fastest Finger First that aired on 2nd September 2022. This is because of, well, let's just say one of the questions featured in that episode which was answered by Rina. That C word should be forbidden around her for years and years to come, and Fastest Finger First is no exception.

Let this be a huge warning to anyone reading this. To those who foolishly decide to not take this warning seriously, don't be acting all surprised when things turn chaotic. And I mean, VERY chaotic. We've already seen what happens to Judy Tobin when that word is uttered in a normal setting, but in something like Fastest Finger First? Yeah, that's where things get bad.

Good start
26 August 2022
A very good start to the show and I hope it becomes successful. Very visually appealing and has a good story line, so I'm excited to see what's in store in the next episodes. I also hope it gets renewed for a 2nd season!

About the only problem I have with it is that, because of the body switching, it does get very hard to tell who is who and which character is in which body, but hopefully they should have that sorted out soon in the next few episodes. (Either that or you're going to have to get used to the characters' voices, which is not easy for a brand new show but I'm willing to give it a chance)

No thank you
30 July 2022
I didn't need to see Tina simping for Jimmy Jr again and again, and especially not in a feature-length film adaptation of this show and in the musical numbers.

I'd venture to say that Tina is an even bigger simp than Mordecai, and that's really saying something. Not to mention the Regular Show movie had absolutely nothing to do with Margaret.

HOW exactly did Gynecaladriel overwhelm the guards?! Dude, what the actual f..., and judging by what happened to the ogre, I don't think I'd want to know. This got dark real fast, a bit too fast to be specific, and... IT'S FREAKING ME OUT!

Genuine mono sound!
16 June 2022
Seriously, they freaking ruined the end credits sequence, with the "Hi Will, Hi Dave" thing in the Day by Day Productions slide being in MONO, instead of stereo like it was in Mr. Pickles! Now how much sense does that make? You ruined the whole gimmick of that slide, and it just makes the rest of this show unpleasant!

Is good film but Kenny shouldn't even be making an appearance here (it was not needed either). He has a sister called Karen, and to see everyone around calling Randy "Karen" just feels bit weird bit awkward to be honest.

At least this film was actually released online, unlike The Bob's Burgers Movie. See, that's exactly what South Park does better than Bob's Burgers, and I appreciate that a lot. Very progressive and good future proofing.

From a 2022 perspective
28 May 2022
After having watched a whole load of The Great North, the "Moon Beef" option in the menu at that restaurant just sounds... weird nowadays. Okay, I'll give Family Guy the benefit of the doubt as this episode was released before The Great North, but still, from a current perspective "Moon Beef" sounds weird.

This makes no sense!
23 May 2022
How in the world did that security guard get hired for that job? Whoever it was that decided to hire him did a very bad and awful job for not doing a proper background check and seeing if he's qualified for something like this.

Everything else about this episode is OK, but that part just got me dumbfounded.

I am IMPRESSED
23 May 2022
It's really impressive seeing how good Moon can handle a skunk. Way better than Linda Belcher (from Bob's Burgers) and Rigby (from Regular Show) by comparison.

Still doesn't top Oscar (from Oscar's Oasis) though. That one is the ultimate.
