Having never played the earlier left for dead games, I am not comparing it to those and can't speak for the people who loved those games, although this makes me want to go try those ones now. I'm someone who spent a ton of time with BO2 zombies and WAW zombies back in the day so that's what I'm comparing them to. The game has little to no story, unless you wanna dig into it which I don't. What this game is is mindless shoot the bad guys with friends fun. I've spent a few late nights blasting away without thinking about anything. Sure the cards are a bit confusing at first but you can just pick them randomly without it hurting the game, but they will enhance it if you care. Even my wife who doesn't play much other than zombies played a bit and really enjoyed it. I did try to play alone and gave up pretty quick so if you don't have friends then don't bother but if you like getting 4 friends together and just having fun I would recommend it.

Spoilers but very light and kind of obvious. I'll start by saying I'm a huge halo fanboy, all the way back to CE. This is an interesting sub story. The cons, I had a hard time believing that any of the actors were ODST's, basically the UNSC's navy SEALs. The acting wasn't amazing the first half and it was kinda slow. Also for some reason the odst armor just looks cartoonish once it's made real.... The pros? Once the action starts with the covenant invasion, it got good. Sure it might not be perfect, but seeing the covenant through the eyes of a normal human instead of a 7 foot tall super soldier, they look way scarier. The action was pretty well done, and the cgi was good enough to not take you out of it. I honestly was super engrossed in the final battle. 4/10 first half, 9.5/10 second half. Worth a watch if you enjoy halo, just find it on YouTube instead of buying it.
