Sureshinteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hridayahariyaya Pranay katha (A Love Story of Suresh and Sumalatha)

Directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval starring Rajesh Madhavan, Chitra Nair in the lead role.

The story is about the love story of Suresh and Sumalatha, the obstacles they face for their love.

Director Ratheesh had conceived this love story in a different pattern by showcasing in 3 different time zones. Editing work needs a word of appreciation as one situation depicting in multiple time periods is well portrayed.

But at the same time, me as a viewer it did not connect me as my query raised was what was that intention to showcase this love story in 3 different time zones.

Comedy elements were there but an atmos of ambiguity was there throughout.

Overall, an average watchable flick.

Director Vipin Das from telling a social message in his earlier movie Jaya Jaya Jaya Hein , here he brings out the entertainer movie which we might have seen in a Priyadarshan, Siddique - Lal movies.

Prithviraj Sukumaran's fabulous performance backed by Basil Jospeh's effortless performance. 👍👍👍

A story of two brother in law, about their immense love towards each other and suddenly becoming the biggest enemy of all time, director Vipin Das & writer Deepu Pradeep beautifully showcased the unusual bromance. 👌👌👌👌

An engaging and fun climax moment.

Proper blending of songs with the sequence 👌👌👌

Overall another blockbuster on the bucket of Malayalam Film Industry.

Nivin Pauly Factor is the Only Highlight

Directed by Dijo Jose Anthony starring Nivin Pauly, Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead role.

Plot of the Movie.

Nivin Pauly plays the character name Alaparambil Gopi, an irresponsible man who is always a nuisance to his family. A night when an unforeseen incident Gopi needs to fleed away from his place & shifts to Dubai but his life changes. How & what is that impact in Gopi's life is all about the movie.

Movie Analysis.

1) Nivin Pauly factor is the main highlight of the movie. His natural comic performance makes the movie watchable.

2) Dhyan Sreenivasan also adds a cherry to the movie. Expected a full-time screen presence with Nivin which did not happen and made me disappointed.

3) Overall, the movie talks of the brotherhood between Hindu & Muslim which in today's time more than an awareness it has become a reminder which does not needs to be reminded.

4) In second half the duration could have been trimmed as at one point it was like a kind of detachment but again as mentioned Nivin's screen presence brought us back.

5) In second half, the artist portraying the rule of a Pakistani had beautifully performed.

6) Able to witness the a Bhajarangi Bhaijaan & GOAT LIFE comic version in this.

Overall, a repeated told topic but with Nivin Pauly we could able to sustain at the big screen for 2.40 Hours.

Pavi Caretaker (2024)

A Dileep One Man show

Plot of the Movie.

Pavithran a Ex NRI returned to hometown serving a security guard duty in an apartment. Leading a single life, his only companion is a dog whom its refereed as "bro." One moment comes up when a girl whom he has not seen become his most important person in his life & how his life changes is all about the movie.

Movie Analysis.

1) We could able to see Dileep performing his best when he comes in his ground. Comedy and Dileep are always hand to hand & here we could see that magic again.

2) The story gives the shades of his earlier movie "Bodyguard" but still it is a watchable flick.

3) As the title suggest, Pavi is the care taker of the apartment, but in life when he was in the notion there is no need of anyone but a moment which changes his view towards his life & he feels that there is a need of care taker not only to take care during his old age but throughout his life a person whom he could share his thoughts , express his emotions , rely blindly , the story although seems to be heard a lot but still it's a point to be remembered in each one's life.

Overall a decent watchable Dileep fun flick.

Do Aur Do Pyaar (2024)

A Must Told Story - Weak Screenplay Thereby Lost It's Magic

Directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta starring Vidya Balan Pratik Gandhi in lead roles. Also starring Ileana D'Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy.

A story of an estranged couple's love story - A story must be told in today's time but a weak screenplay thereby detaching from the movie.

A story of a couple who had been married for 12 years had lost touch in their relationship. The movie takes us through the journey of Anirudh & Kavya, their estranged relationship and their extra marital relationship and the movie in the 1st half shows this both phases. At the interval we could see how things goes changing which leads us to the second half of the movie.

The second half shows us their attempt to restart in relationship, detachment from their external love but the screenplay in many areas falls nose dive as after a certain point it's becoming a slow paced & viewers get detached keeping aside the little fun moments.

Performance wise Pratik Gandhi & Vidya Balan gave their best performances. Illeana also done a decent job. Sendhil was a mis-cast.

Songs were blending with the situation.

Overall a topic which had been discussed well but with a better screenplay in 2nd half could have been much more watchable.

Maidaan (2024)

Ajay Devgn Stellar Performance in Maidaan of Acting

Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role.

A story of a man's vision to see the Indian Football at the recognisable level..

Chak de India, Maidaan -- The storyline is the same as the respective Indian coaches wants to see their nation excel in the sports & so I could able to see storyline of Maidaan somewhere familar with Chak De India.

Sequence of intense training session, the monologue of the protagonist with the team before the kick off of finals was more connecting with Chak De India.

The only differentiation is that Chak De India the movie not only shows the struggle of Kabir but also most of the character's journey their struggle into getting into Indian Hockey Team whereas Maidaan is the seeing from Sayeed Abdul's view as to his struggle into getting Indian Football at the national & thereon at the international level.

The last 15 - 20 minutes of the was jaw dropping.

Ajay Devgn performance as Syed Abdul Rahim was phenomenal. Performance by expression & by eyes & he is the master in that. So the character had went into the correct hands.

So a movie preferred to watch at the big screen.

Varshangalkku Shesham (2024)

A journey of friendship & the love for cinema --- A feel post watching this movie.

A story of 2 friends who accidentally meets but then their love for art becomes the best of the buddies & after many years how cinema make their friendship stronger is all about the movie speaks..

Nothing to say when a Vineeth Sreenivasan movie is watching a feel of relaxation can be sensed & again he doesn't disappoints me with this latest movie.

A journey which can't be explained in writing but a 3 hour long movie not giving an opportunity of boredom but screenplay of Vineeth immesrse into his world & we forget about everything.

Talking about the performance, Dhyan Sreenivasan had given the best performance. When a story like this and when a film maker who could extract the best from the artist such performance s can be witnessed.

Another notable performance was Nivin Pauly. HE is Backkkkkk. What we were missing from him finally he gave us from this movie. Comedy and Nivin Pauly are best friends & when this both unites properly there is a riot of laughter at the big screen.

Pranav Mohanlal gave a decent performance.

The movie's backbone is the solid script and it's meticulously prepared screenplay.

Overall a watchable soothing experience..

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024)

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar starring Akshay Kumar Tiger Shroff , Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead role.

Bade miyan chote miyan had brought out the concept of AI technology & how that if implemented in defence will help but if gone at the wrong hands will be dangerous.

When it comes to Indian Film, of course a new story line but the avenge of a man towards India, the geo political issues between Pakistan - China with India blended with this new concept & also over the top action sequences Ali able to structure and entertainment model.

The main negativity in this movie is the mis-cast, Akshay Kumar was the main mis cast. When a high octane action movie is created, you need the artist who by their swag, and personality should able to convince the audience but here Akshay Kumar had miserably failed. We could see his Rowdy Rathore action swag but here I damm missed Salman Khan & Hrithik Roshan .Tiger Shroff had done a usual performance.

Another miscast is Manushi Chillar. An expressionless artist. No difference if a robot and she acts together as we couldn't able to get difference between them. Pathetic performance.

Alaya F & Sonakshi Sinha had given a decent performance.

Then comes Prithviraj Sukumaran, the protagonist turned antagonist. He had given his best & I was personally happy when a South Indian Artist getting a prominent role in a Bollywood Film.

CG works backslash. Action sequences was well choreographed. Songs were average except the Title Song as it was little better.

Director Ali Abbas managed to create a world of AI in the defence sector bringing up the insights of its pros and cons but with better artists it could have been much watchable.

** An out and out fun entertainer package **

Three boys join a college in Bangalore & one day they meet Ranga the goon & how their life changes forms the rest part..

Fahadh had stolen the show. Character of Ranga which is loud in nature, no other person can pull this in a way which Fafa had pulled. He proved once again that he is the master of all characters.

The college students characters played by the respective artists, they added a cherry to the movie.

When talking about the storyline, it's nothing new but the screenplay plays a major factor & that's what Aavesham makes fun of.

Moments of non force ability of laughter , well choreographed action sequences, perfect blending of Sushin Shyam's BGM...

Overall a fun entertaining movie...

The Goat Life (2024)

One Word : Masterpiece

The movie based on the novel of the same name based on the life of Najeeb who got trapped in the Dubai in the late 80's for nearly 3.5 years & how he came to life is all about.

There was a time when we were frustrated during lockdown of not able to go out but post watching this movie that prison kind of life during covid was nothing.

3 hrs movie wherein we could see the struggle of Najeeb. The moment of realisation that he got into a wrong place till the time of his redemption the pain which Najeeb suffered the same we the audience too suffered.

Director Blessy who knows how to create a peak for the human emotion in aadujeevitham he explored the pain of Najeeb which cannot be withstand by anyone.

Prithviraj here had just lived the character ? Will that be suffice to say ? If he doesn't get a National Award then it's a humiliation that it's been getting to an artist.

Aadujeevitham will always be benchmark for Prithviraj Sukumaran Film Career always.

Blessy the film maker had made us remember of Jigarthanda 2 line " You don't choose Art , Art choses you " , Yes he was being Chosen.

ARR musical score , Sunil Ks Cinematography, Stephy Xaviour Costume & other technical aspect was top notch.

Overall a Masterpiece Movie from Malayalam Movie Industry.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)

A Decent Watchable Monster Action Flick

Plot of the Movie.

This time Kong encounters a mightier enemy " Skar King" & he needs the help of Godzilla to put an end to Skar King's story.

Will Kong be able to succeed?

Analysis of the Movie...

The movie initially starts with a slow pace but after some time a hint of something will happen is being generated. The first half goes into this curiosity.

The second half is about unveiling the mystery of how the Skar King is connected to Godzilla and Kong.

The screenplay journey will not make you happy to the fullest as after a certain point I was expecting a blow but no it takes us to the height of the patience and then it breaks. The last 15 minutes of power packed action blended with 3D specs gives us goosebumps, it's like the SRK & Salman come together for an action in Pathaan.

From the technical aspect, the visualisation of the Hollow Earth, the habitation of Iwi Community in the Hollow Earth had been beautifully taken. It makes us believe that these are not fiction although we know its a Fictional Movie.

BGM while entrance of Godzilla gives the audience a feel of anxiety as whether Godzilla is coming for war or for something else as its character journey had been portrayed respectively in the screenplay.

The basic plot of the Movie is an Evil to conquer the Throne of Power will go to the extreme to fulfill but there are some fearless who turn that into just a dream.

This plot we had seen in many movies in different versions but what makes this movie worth watching is how this concept they blend with the mythology of the protagonist characters which makes the audience convince able.

Shaitaan (2024)

A Well Horror Thriller Experience

** An ambience of fear delivered at the Big Screen *

The story begins with the introduction of Kabir's ( Ajay Devgan Character ) family having a pleasant life but one fine day a stranger enters into their life which strangulates their peace of mind & how Kabir & his family overcomes this pain forms the rest of the movie..

Talking about the story, it depicts the Black Magic activities which are still being pursued despite the advancement of science but the screenplay here played a crucial role as how this subject of black magic creates an ambience of thrill to the audience & the film succeeds in that.

But a good screenplay doesn't suffice as it should be blended with a strong performance & here the star performer was R Madhavan. From a romantic hero now delivering an extreme negative shade. In many sequences along with the protagonist mindset we the audience also feel that at this moment he should be crucified to the extreme possible as the character portrayed to that level of cruelty.

Jyotika gave a neat performance. The pain of a mother had been well portrayed.

The characters of children played by both the girl and the boy were outstanding.

Last but the least, The Man who delivers performance by action , Mr. Devgn. When required to deliver the emotional performance, he gives out the best & here that emotion was required the most.

The BGM & the Shaitaan title song added the intensity of the horror thriller mood.

Overall a watchable experience at the Big screen.

Bramayugam (2024)

Exemplary Performance of Mammooka

Directed by Rahul Sadasivan.

*** A horror mystery set to convey the evil side of Rulership ***

Set in the period of the 17th Century where black magic, lust for power, control was in extreme, Bramayugam creates a world of the power vests in the hand of the evil & how the helpless society falls prey into this gamble of dominance.

As the whole movie set in Black and White, for me the impression was it was unambiguous of the dominance of the superior over the downtrodden.

Performance wise what we thought was completely different of the characterization of the megastar Mammootty. The thirst for acting has never ended and that's clearly being noticed in each frame of his. The cruelty of the character was very well absorbed by him and that's why he is the Kulapathy of the Malayalam Film Industry.

Another note worthy performance of Arjun Ashokan. The career graph of Arjun will escalate here onwards.. Siddharth Bharatan also gave a fitting performance.

The songs set back in the 17th century was pleasing. BGM added the horror mode.

Overall a purely experimental movie but with the good technical work and class performers Bramayugam sets a new benchmark for the upcoming horror jonor movies in Malayalam Film Industry.

Premalu (2024)

Fullllll On Fun Mode

* 2024 first full on comedy entertainer movie *

The story line of the movie a teenage boy falling in love, getting rejected and then one fine meets a girl accidentally which turns out to be very important part of his life. We cannot say this a unique topic but still the movie gives the freshness.

Director and co writer Girish AD & writer Kiran Josey had beautifully penned the screenplay.

There is laughter from start to end and that's what audience always wants. 2 hrs 45 min complete fun experience moment.

Performance of the lead artists and also the other supporting stars had dropped their performance ability thereby leaving the audience remembering them after leaving the big screen.

Friendship, Romance, Breakup, Missing the loved ones, Patch up etc this sounds to be old but still it has its freshness and when it is delivered correctly it creates an impact & this movie fits the slot too well..

Overall beginning of February rises with the positivity..

Anweshippin Kandethum (2024)

Well Crafted Thriller Drama

** A well crafted Thriller Movie ***

2 cases, but very interesting to watch as the movie very well takes us through the journey of the investigating officer & his team in unlocking the mystery behind the crimes.

Set in the period of 1980's mid to 1990 , the movie shows us how during that period there was no technology infrastructure to support to solve the case but with the available resources and with the sheer brilliance of how they were able to unlock the mystery.

Another positive factor, the movie doesn't glorify the heroism in a contemporary whereas it glorifies the efficient qualities, of a police officer making the movie worth watchable.

The cinematography, the production design, the score properly blends with the story.

Jinu V Abhraham screenplay deserves an applause..

Overall an interesting thriller experience worthy enough to watch in a big screen.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024)

*** A story ahead of time but worth satisfying ***

If anyone had watched Malayalam Movie Android Kunjappan 2.0 post watching this movie we will have a similar experience as both the movies talks about the future of Robotics and how robotics play an pivotal role in human life.

Coming back to TBAUJ , Shahid's character Aryan Agnihotri a robotic engineer meets Sifra and how his life changes post realising the truth that she is not human forms the rest part..

Performance wise Shahid and Kriti had given full justice towards their character. There is magic in Kriti's performance when she works with Maddock Films & here she delivered an yet outstanding performance as with the limited expression which the character demands we could see Sifra's character more rather Kriti Sanon in the movie.

There were logical issues as there was an intimate scene between the lead artists which for me still indigestible although in the movie, Aryan's friend asked about it and aryan replies back but still that area had not been explained well by the writer.

As mentioned earlier, the movie is talking about the time ahead, but still for me it worked out as in near time, this what the future will be as last year I came across a report wherein in abroad a girl bought a human robot as she needs a guy who listens all her commands. So this movie is just a path for us to show that in near future the concept of marriage will change, there will be a solution for the loneliness of the people.

Overall a delightful movie from Maddock Films.

Fighter (2024)

Perfect Blend of Action & Emotions

Directed by Siddharth Anand starring Hrithik Roshan Deepika Padukone Anil S Kapoor in the lead role...

Bollywood now has a director who could pull off high octane action films & that is Siddharth Anand - View after watching Fighter..

The world of the fighter is not different from the usual Terrorist Based Plots but what made to say Siddharth Anand as the guaranteed film-maker for high octane is his execution & perfect blending of emotions which escalates the action he delivers which matches with the emotions.

When comes to Fighter, the story kicks off from the Pulwama attack & how these air fighters give a tough reply to their opponents forms the rest part..

The story initially begins with the character introduction followed by building these characters into us thereby making us familiar as why these people are into the world of air force.

The movie depicts the love angle but the positivity is it hasn't overshadowed the main plot..

Performance wise Hrithik stolen the show. If in War , Kabir Singh was a man of shrewd but when it comes to Fighter, the character carries emotions & that elevates in many situations when it requires which for a viewer get convince able & he done that part superbly.

Deepika on the other hand would say when comparing her screen presence & character demand in Pathaan, here her essentiality was feeling less but since in the movie as I feel why a female air force officer is required from that angle we could say Ok but otherwise she didn't have much space to do..

Aerial action sequences was a cinematic viewing experience although VFX was cringe at certain points but still the BGM was blended well and action design of a aerial was superbly executed thereby negating the flaws of VFX.

Anil Kapoor given a perfect support for the film with his fine performance.

Overall Fighter reminds us again of the sacrifice of our real heros, making it worth watching viewing experience at Big Screen.

Indian Police Force (2024– )

Encashment of Terrorism Subject by Bollywood.

Created by Rohit Shetty, Co-Directed by Sushwanth Prakash starring Sidhharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, Shilpa Shetty, Sharad Kelkar.

Movie Analysis.

1) As mentioned in the one-line review, the story does not offer nothing new. It travels through the same route of terrorism-based movies.

2) When comes to the technical aspect, after Circus movie, bad colour tone usage had been conceived by the team. Many day light sequences had been over brightened making a viewer discomfort. Below average VFX makes us confirm that neither there is a thorough research of a new story to be produces nor the team does not try to invest a good amount in VFX work.

3) Talking about the performance, Siddharth Malhotra had given his best performance & it would be one of the good performances in his career. Vivek Oberoi character could have been made a full length but due to an illogical situation trimmed his screen presence till Episode 3. Shilpa Shetty performance is like a carrying heavy weight which is more than her carrying capacity, a mis cast in the series. Sharad Kelkar minimal screen presence adds a cherry in the cake especially the music given for his intro scene was for me a goosebumps moment.

4) Another illogical thing noticed was, if a terrorist who perfectly plan and executes the attack, will he not have the instinct that his wife who had been apprehended by the police & when his wife calls him that she is on her way to meet him, does he cannot check her signal to confirm whether she is saying true or a lie but here I think terrorist is deeply in love with his wife.

So, a sugarcane which is repeatedly crushed to its last to get its last juice, in the same way Bollywood always crushes the saleable topic which they believe to encash & thereby raising the level of Bollywood.

Abraham Ozler (2024)

*** A known told vengeance plot conveyed through medical route ***

Directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas starring Jayaram, Mammootty, Anaswara Rajan, Sentil Krishna, Arya Salim in the lead role.

Movie Analysis.

When coming to the central character, I was skeptical whether family man image star will able to carry such heavy character as his earlier police movies "Fingerprint", "Rahasya Police" was utter disappointment. But here he put the efforts, the character travels through the journey of extreme depression followed by insomnia which Jayaram could able to brought into the screen. To show the character had attained the pre mature ageing, he used to dodder which an audience could able to connect that how much this person is going through his life.

Coming to the other main character, Mammootty, his character passed through a similar kind of trauma. His voice modulation, the expression in his eyes, portrays the pain the character had gone through but when see a film, does this character is unique, this question arises as plot of vengeance had seen a lot & that is why the template adopted in Ozler is no different from Midhun's debut thriller movie "Anjaam Paathira"

When talking about the actress "Anaswara Rajan," only one word "Exceptional Artist." Her character is shown in the flash back. A 2024 girl portraying 1989 girl character so convincingly, Anaswara is establishing herself as one of the TOP Mollywood heroines.

Another notable performance was Jagdeesh. A grey shade but performed in a different way & he just nailed it.

When coming to the technical side, Midhun Manuel with his film making had able to create a mood with the known told script. The 1st half was engaging but when coming to 2nd half especially revelation of the back story we came to know its just an old wine in a new bottle. Midhun Mukundan music especially the intro of the Mammootty character mixed with the Jayaram screen presence, the elevation music was top notch & in many places the suspense tone was inserted so as to keep up the mood and it worked out well.

Overall , not wow factor but still a watchable flick.

Perilloor Premier League (2024– )

A web series delivering many moments of laughter

Directed by Praveen Chandran starring Nikila Vimla, Sunny Wayne, Vijay Raghavan & Ashokan in the lead role.

Story begins with the love failure of Malavika (played by Nikila Vimal) with Sreekuttan (played by Sunny Wayne) & when she came into her uncle's village "Perilloor "what all turmoil came to her life forms the rest part of the series.

The story although focuses on the village council election, the web series very comically delivered the situation evolving around it. At the same time rather by not focusing only on the political subject, it also travels through the emotional journey of the lead characters making the web series more interesting to watch.

Dilemma who has scored the best in their performance as the casting was aptly done.

Salaar (2023)

* Film Injected with Over Mass Elevation but not having enough impact for the goosebumps

Directed by Prashant Neel starring Rebel Star Prabhas in the lead. Also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran

Prashant Neel's KGF, this was the reason for watching Salaar & an expectation that there will be link of KGF and Salaar but the later is not there.

Coming to Salaar, the movie had given mass moments but it's kind feel of over injection of mass elements which creates a disinterest in watching.

Prabhas had given the best with his swag and the way he delivers the action but a viewer who watched Yash in KGF, the same goosebumps is not having when watching Prabhas in Salaar. The background music had been used extensively to elevate the mass sequences which clearly gives an indication that its intentionally made.

Prithviraj had given a decent performance.

The last 30 minutes filled with action was interesting but when deep driving in the second half, many times the screenplay had been accelerated thereby a lot feeling that something is not going as per it is required.

The core of the movie is similar to of KGF. It's about the POWER but Salaar had expressed in through the mode of friendship & violence..

There will be a lot which needs to be unboxed in Part so Part 1 is an above average flick for me.

Neru (2023)

Drishyam Team Striked Again for Blockbuster

Directed by Jeethu Joseph starring Mohanlal in the lead..

Also starring Siddique , Anaswara Rajan , Jagadeesh.

*** Drishyam combo struck for a six.***

Although it's mentioned that the movie is a courtroom drama, when it's directed by Jeetu Joseph we could expect the suspense and here too he kept that thrilling mood on.

The courtroom sequences which was nearly 80 percent of the movie was well captured. The moment of what's next in a courtroom will happen is well established and that what makes Jeetu Joseph a brilliant craftsman.

Performance wise Anaswara Rajan had given her career best performance.

Siddique's performance was like at one moment a feel of hatred was developed as the life which he gave to the character was phenomenal.

Last but not the least the Complete Actor Mohanlal, needless to say, this man effortlessly performs and wins the heart of the audience. How his potential can be used effectively, when that realisation happens we would have en number of classics from this legend and Jeetu Joseph knows to exploit him well

A little mass moment from this courtroom drama thereby not spoiling it's core was clap worthy..

The topic is social relevant and it's execution was clap worthy

Overall Neru ends the Mollywood industry 2023 at a good note & giving a hope that Mollywood 2024 will be full of blockbusters.

Dunki (2023)

Magic does not spark well in SRK - Hirani Combo

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani starring Shahrukh Khan in the lead role.. Also starring Tapsee Panu , Vicky Kaushal

The story represents those sections of people who have dreams to live high but due to their illfate cannot. When these people cross borders illegally to live their life what happens to them, is what " Dunki" is all about..

Although in the 2nd half of the movie mainly , the core had been portrayed but at many areas me as an audience lost connectivity with the movie which for earlier Hirani movies of 3 Idiots & PK didn't happen.

Coming over to the performance, Tapsee had given one of the best performance. If she is able to collaborate with film-makers like him , we could get the best performance experience from her..

Vicky Kaushal in his limited screen presence had given the finest act.

Shahrukh Khan, his best when comes to portraying emotions & he effortlessly nailed it but when he is being shown as the younger version, a question of WHY arises?

Laughable moments were less as the film drives into more dramatic as the topic itself is a social relevant kinda so a detachment was required for some time.

Songs were soothing , VFX was below average.

Overall , What we gonna expect in Rajkumar Hirani film, it might not be received at its full.

Animal (I) (2023)

Starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna Bobby Deol & Anil S Kapoor .

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

One Line Review : Family Vengeance Issue Portrayed through Quentin Tarantino style..

Ranbir Kapoor as an animal. An extremely violent version of Ranbir had been showcased here & he fits into these shoes well. Sandeep had taken out his extreme rage character & had made him toiled for this character which we were able to notice on the screen.

Bobby Deol comes at the last 1 hour & his contribution had any impact. As his character was a mute person, his impact was too a mute. If it's conveyed in a way that its not always words but sometimes less words more action speaks as a defence mechanism, still Bobby Deol was under utilized.

Anil Kapoor whose character is the soul and why this title suits Ranbir's character, had done a decent performance..

Rashmika an Ok performance delivery.

But the film which was rocketing high in the first half with a terrific interval block , 2nd half was down with over insertion of family drama, father - son bond, lust, last few hours of streched feel made the movie watching unbearable.

Sandeep had taken a told known topic in a violent mode. So it's like a coconut appearing to be tough at out but when broken it's decayed..

Still a 1 time Watchable flick.. 3 / 5 ⭐

One Line Review : A half baked script

The story is of India's First Airfield Marshall Sam Manekshaw, from a performance perspective Vicky Kaushal has lived in the character. His mannerism, his walking style, the way he speaks , even though a viewer who had never seen the videos of the original Manekshaw on YouTube etc, Vicky's performance will convince them. The only positive point in this movie.

Madam Prime Minister, the Iron Lady these tabloids we had given to our Late Honorable PM SMT. Indira Gandhi but in this movie I feel pity as Fatima's casting was totally absurd. Her performance all through felt that she is carrying a heavy character which is too heavy for her. Biggest Negative Point..

Sanya Malhotra had given an ok performance as she did not have the screen presence..

Coming to the screenplay, where the movie shows the promotion of Sam Manekshaw fastly, the movie runs fastly overlooking the crux factors required for the audience to connect with the movie but here it was NOT.. A half baked from Meghna Gulzar , Bhavani Iyer & Shantanu Shrivastva

As an audience, we would expect the battle sequences, where we wished to see Manekshaw's involvement in the battlefield, the tactics he used to win etc etc the film except during the last part, the film was disconnected to me..

The film could have been trimmed as when the film reached the final part it was feeling stretched.

Overall an Average Watchable Experience 2.5/5 ⭐
