My Brother the Time Traveler (2017)
So funny
We watched this through "VidAngel" so I can't really comment on bad language or the Lord's name in vain since it would have been automatically censored.
This movie was so funny..... at some parts my kids were cracking up so hard.
I also like that the main characters are married in real life. I always love when I discover that !
It's one of those movies that you wanna really listen to because they have such funny one liners.
It's not all funny though, so be ready!
The Elevator (2021)
Train wreck
A "Christian Movie" that is blasphemous.
The best connection was between the son and his mom- that seems more like his stepmom that he's having an affair with. It was awkward.
He's stuck in an elevator for a couple hours; has a mental break down then writes a will. When he gets rescued he's unconscious and they make mention of how hot it was in the elevator but during the movie, not once does he mention being hot or thirsty.
I don't know the ending, I shut it off.
Full Count (2019)
Okay
The film had great potential but it does take the Lord's name in vain, so we didn't finish watching it. So- for anyone that cares about that element, it's an off limits movie.
Vindication (2019)
We love Vindication
Film another season!!! My husband and I really got into this series but I can't believe how short it is! I really hope they do another season. The show has drama, humor, suspense, etc but without all of the trashy elements. They never take the Lord's name in vain!
Treasure Lies (2020)
Good movie, ignore the hater reviews
I saw a couple angry reviews, which I don't really understand. So I will preface this by saying that I am not related to, or friends with anyone connected to this film.
This movie has a great underlying message. The movie is funny and it kept my attention. It is a family-friendly movie and it doesn't take the Lord's name in vain, so that's great!
Essentially, the main character gets his hand on a winning lottery ticket, but unfortunately he lets money change his outlook on life.
Heaven Bound (2017)
So funny
This is such a funny, clean film. The brother really adds a hilarious element.
The film also never takes the Lord's name in vain. - so that's always a huge bonus! Keep in mind, it's not a huge budget, Hollywood film (which is why we love it!). There's not many characters, but the small cast members all are very funny.
The Follower (2019)
Comical
I will preface this by saying, it's a lower budget Christian film. With that being said, my family loves this film. We are currently watching this for the second time and my kids that are ages 11, 8 and 5 are cracking up.
There's a good underlying message.
Root of the Problem (2019)
Disappointed
It is always such a disappointment when a "faith-based" movie takes the Lord's name in vain.
The movie start off okay. The "dad" did seem to swear a lot whenever the pastor was near. The "dad" also lied a lot to his wife about the tree that she received from HER uncle.
I think it had potential, but I can't comment on anything beyond him taking the Lord's name, and that was shortly after he bought the riding lawn mower. I will say, that's an unintended funny scene. He's drooling over this "new" lawn mower, but it's clearly an old John Deere that's just been painted red, but the seat and underbody are still green. *It was just funny to our family.*
