Glee: New York (2011)
This episode is such a mess!
How could these kids go to Nationals without having even prepared a song?! Writing two original songs the day before the competition they won't be able to rehearse or choreograph is just ludicrous. Plus, there is way too much happing in this episode with too many little subplots:
- Quinn is angry
- Mr Shue is trying to follow his dreams
- Vocal Adrenaline is being evil as per usual
- Kurt and Rachel plan for the future
- Finn and Rachel are a mess, also as per usual
- The kids misbehave
To All the Boys: Always and Forever (2021)
Worse than the second film!
The second movie irrevocably ruined the first one for me, will not be able to watch it again.
Peter is even more selfish and self-obsessed than before. Just because he got accepted to a certain college, he now expects LJ to follow him like a puppy dog. It never once occurs to him that he could transfer to her top choice as well?? When LJ doesn't do what he wants her to do he feels abandoned and basically compares her to his father who left him.
The ending seemed forced and patched up. Peter is selfish and immature, what a joke! Might as well go back to Gen, if she's closer.
To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You (2020)
Didn't like Peter at all! - Spoiler
In this sequel I found Peter extremely unlikable. He comes off as selfish, thoughtless and the stereotypical jock who's just after his own amusement. As a couple, kind and caring LJ and superficial PK made no sense here.
The fact that he was waiting for Gen in the hot tub while supposedly already falling for Lara Jean totally ruined him as a character for me. It also ruined the first film retroactively!
Bridgerton (2020)
Way too American!
Supposedly set in London but clearly filmed in Bath. The dialogue is absolutely cringe-worthy and clearly written by Americans who think putting 'shall' in front of every verb makes the language Regency. Embarrassing! The acting is terrible, and this show has no historical accuracy whatsoever. Austen would turn over in her grave if she new this gaudy, brash, over-the-top trash is masquerading as Austen-esque.
