Rust Creek (2018)

Great potential, but missed the mark
13 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The movie started out ok. Girls goes on a road trip alone with an unreliable car and her trusty smartphone GPS. She gets lost and very unrealistically she gets out of her car to check out a paper map. Ok, why not keep trying her phone? She had service. Why get out of the car in the middle of nowhere? When the two guys pull she just stares at them like a deer in the headlights. Why not get in her car? Why not get in her car and try to get away instead of running to the woods?! Ok ok....the story is her lost jn the woods, got it... but why make a big deal about her unreliable car and then not use that in a later scene? Get in the car, car won't start, then run to woods. While in the woods she stumbles around instead of trying to get back to her car and get help. She takes off her sweater and ditches it. Why would she do that? It's cold! Lowell was the best part of the movie. All in all, the movie had great potential, but sadly it missed the mark.

Selena: The Series (2020–2021)

The Abraham Quintanilla Netflix Series
7 December 2020
Yet another disappointment for Selena fans. A show titled Selena where she is mostly a background character is huge rip-off. Just like the movie, the show lacks so much of the Selena we all loved and miss. No one wants to hear about her dad's failed career, again. If anything he comes off as a controlling and possessive father who stole his children's childhood. Just change the name of the show and save real Selena fans from wasting their time.
