BoJack Horseman (2014)
Sorry but this show is just mean
I don't want to see a show about a horse constantly suffering at the fate of humanity. It's just mean and makes you have an existential crisis. This show is just so mean and cruel and says that the world is bad and no matter how much you improve yourself, your past mistakes will catch up to you. It also has an unappealing and ugly art style that just makes me wanna look away at it rather than watch it. Don't watch this show if you want to be happy. Don't watch Adam Ruins Everything either. Watch Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Tiny Toons, Garfield, Terrytoons or something. This show also is just furrybait.
Adam Ruins Everything (2015)
Adam causes an existential crisis
Hearing about this show makes me furious and angry. Spreading misinformation that will only harm instead of help nice people.
Adam is almost constantly upsetting people by pointing out their deepest beliefs are based on lies. Forcing them to see a reality that they would really rather not to admit to. Customs we think of as time-honored traditions are Newer Than They Think and often the product of some kind of marketing or PR campaign. Something that seemed trivial a generation ago can be responsible for a serious societal problem today. Governments and bodies of scientific research can and have flat out lied to the public. What is real? What is true? Who can be trusted? So I say F you this show, this show sucks. There is a heaven, god exists, you life has meaning. Don't listen to this madman, listen to Joel Osteen or something.
The Sylvester & Tweety Show (1976)
Nice as supporting characters but a bit repetitive as the main attraction
I have noticed that many reviewers haven't pointed out that (despite the date being 1976 and having the word "SHOW" in the title) that the imdb listing is actually referring to the short-lived CBS anthology series "Sylvester and Tweety". This package show featured just cartoons with either Sylvester or Tweety (after August 1948 of course), usually featuring 2 Sylvester and Tweety cartoons with 1 solo Sylvester cartoon in between (though one instalment contained 3 Sylvester and Tweety cartoons). For my own thoughts, personally, I think in an anthology series, Sylvester and Tweety (similarly to Wil e Coyote and the Roadrunner) are better suited off as being supporting players in a package show as opposed to a main attraction. I also think that a Looney Tunes Show should have some variety in its lineup of shorts. As not only the main attraction but the ONLY shorts in the series, the series get a bit repetitive after a while (note that my stance only applies to anthology series, I did like The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries).
What's Opera, Doc? (1957)
I'm sorry but..
...this short is not that funny to be. Sure the cartoon itself is nicely animated and the backgrounds are amazing (plus Ride of the Valkyries is wonderful), the problem is that this cartoon is more content with being graceful and cute than actually being funny. The only thing that got a slight chuckle from me was the part where Bugs Bunny says "Bye" to Elmer. That itself is not funny but the delivery is rather nice. Plus Bug's quip at the end is also nice. But besides that, this cartoon is more historically interesting and more intended for analysis than actually being funny, sorta like how The Old Mill and Flowers and Trees are more historically important than the cartoons themselves.
The Mad Baker (1972)
Nice from what i've seen
Plot according to Cartoon Research:
"A parody of Frankenstein films, in which a baker creates a huge chocolate cake that comes to life and eats its creator."
Directed by Ted Petok, this short film is sadly partially lost and only the first 4 minutes are available online (so we never see the cake), taken from an UK TV airing in 1988 (the uploader states that the tape ends before the short is finished so even if we had the vhs recording, we would still not have the full short). Due to this, I have rated this short only 4 stars due to us not having the full short. If I had the full short, I would rate it higher but sadly I can't due to it's unavailability. But despite this, it appears to be a nice short. I liked the Mad Baker himself and his rant at the end of the print was wonderful.
