Saw III (2006)
Diden't agree with the storyline
I have in short time become a fan of the SAW movies, that was about when the first shots of SAW 3 came out. I was very skeptic about weather or not SAW 1-2 was just more bad horror movies. But I saw them and was surprised, Tobin Bell's Jigsaw was even better than Hannibal Lector, and I became a huge fan. Before I saw SAW 3 I had considered the fact that it would perhaps not be as good as the other. When I saw it, I must say I was a bit disappointed, were SAW 1 had fine dialog and SAW 2 perfect dialog, SAW 3 diden't have any. SAW 3 was about Amanda's present and past, Jigsaw's last hours and a poor man in his dangerous game. Jigsaw diden't say great lines like he did in the 2. film and I diden't really like the way the story turned out to be. And the twists wasen't as surprisingly. But I have kept in mind that Saw 3 still is a must, mainly because it continues the SAW story, but also because it's still way better than all other horror movies like: "Scream", "I know what you did last summer", "Friday the 13" and "Nightmare on Elm street". So even though I don't agree with the story line, I'm still hoping that the rumors about a SAW 4 will turn out correct. It would be a shame if the best horror films ever, diden't get to at 4th installment. Hope we will See more to Tobin Bell: a great actor, and the scariest man alive.
Saw II (2005)
Best Horror Ever!!!
Here is a Horror movie that is actually better than the first. The First had a great theme and ending. But the 2. Saw film is brilliant all the way through. Saw 2 could have been a disaster, normally when a horror becomes a success, they make a crappy 2. movie, but the screenwriters actually broke all roles and let us see the bad-guy after only 15 min. of the film. In all the commercials and clips you don't see Jigsaw one single time, so it is a total surprise to see him so early in the movie. Tobin Bell does a excellent job playing Jigsaw, and should have won the MTV movie award for best bad-guy when it was nominated, but apparently someone thought Hayden Christensen (Hayden Christensen??????????) should win it, for his part in Star Wars episode 3, even though many think his acting sucks. So Saw 2 is the best movies i have ever seen, and defiantly deserves a chance from everybody who can stand the blood..... Ohhhhh yes, there will be blood!!!
Trespasser (1998)
To much to deal with
Steven Spielberg (who is a bit of a computer-game geek)one day got the brilliant idea to making a PC game, based on his 2. Great Jurassic Park movie. But he told his company Dreamworks that the game needed to be good! The dinosaurs in it should move like they did in his movies, react to object and each other, they should be able to fight each other, and be affected to realistic gravity (never before seen back then). The game also needed to be called Trespasser. The programmers worked on Trespasser for about twice the time, a PC game normally took to finish. When the game finally finished, it was as many had feared. Steven's dream game was simply impossible to fully complete, although there was beautiful nature and detailed sound effects, the game just did not work well. The dino's should have been smart and realistic, but because of all the things Steven wanted them to do, they seemed stupid as..(biip)..: They tripped over their own feet every 5th step they took, they ran into walls, and suddenly ignored you. All the things in the game that should have been bigger and better than other games was not done right, Dreamworks simply did not have the technology to create it fully. So the game did not sell very well... BUT! The many steps forward Dreamworks had made in the process, opened doors to whole new opportunities that others could use, Dreamworks had actually helped others make better games. Many game creators has since then given Dreamworks the credit for their own work, and has explained how Trespasser helped them achieve better games. So even though Trespasser was a failure, Steven once again showed that he could push technology a little further, only this time, almost nobody knew.
(8/10 for a boring but revolutionary game)
