Danny Phillips's No Turning back is a very well crafted smart film. A dissecting exploration into the debts of human relationships-family relationships-marital relationships revealing the struggle between ones own needs and the needs of those they love. Smart Storytelling!

Iván Preuss' "The Beautiful Fantasy of Final Purpose" is a well crafted film, with smart storytelling. From the first act, we find ourselves captivated by Floreal and the cinematic voyage this young-but-outstanding cast of characters is about to take us on.

"Stefan Fleischlig-Tangl's Flucht (Flight) from Austria is a timely and mesmerizing piece of work. The script feels as if we have crossed over into the "twilight zone" and for sure will be a hit with festival audiences around the globe.

Otherwise a Woman is a must see film! Ayesha Abouelazm's direction of co-writer Myriam Raymond's very personal story is a clever and well crafted film. It's bold and visionary experimental touch literally forces the audience to experience the trauma of the protagonist. Ms. Abouelazm choice to focus on how a woman reclaims her life after such an ordeal is handled with such elegance and grace it ensures that Otherwise a Woman stays with you long after exiting the theatre. -Oaxaca FilmFest

Brilliant Story Telling!

Danny Miguel's Mexican Express is a unique tale about Drag Racing. However, it is so much more. The way Mr. Miguel utilizes archive and interviews to bring West Long Beach as well as Fred and Rick Esparza to the audience is technically well framed and simultaneously overflows with the humanity of the experience these two brothers shared. The methodology of the interview process transcends into brilliant story telling.

Kevin Stirling's MARCH TO THE MOON is an amazing fresh look at man's greatest accomplishment. His choice to interview many faces we have not seen in other Apollo Documentaries is smart and well thought out. The film is well crafted and leaves you wanting for more. We look forward to future documentaries from Mr. Stirling.

Days of Violence directed by Stuart G. Robertson is a smart well crafted film. It's fun and in the same breath terrifying. The script is so original and the acting effortless the audience will find themselves trapped in the film from the first act. Director Jon Cortegoso Otaduy's feature documentary from Spain La ultima guardia (The Last Day On Duty) draws you in from the first frame. The cinematography and the backdrops are exhilarating. However, it is the characters and the story lines that will really connect with audiences around the globe. The methodology used to transform their lives to film is done with such grace and elegance. French Filmmaker Quentin Lestienne's petits poissons (Small Fish) is smart. The use of organic farmers and the issues they face stacked up against the issues of independent cinema is a unique strategy to exhibit the uphill battle of each. The film is well crafted and the authenticity and honesty of the work captures the audience from the first frame.
