The Oranges (2011)
I Don't Know
Not my favourite film, but I was expecting something worse, to be honest. What I saw:
An enjoyable Hugh Laurie, as usual (yet not exceptional).
Funny moments, at times.
Some cringe-worthy dialogues.
Nice directing.
Impressively realistic.
Thoughtprovoking, which certainly is its strongest feature.
I guess one of the main goals of a filmmaker is to make their audience FEEL things. Well, I honestly can say they did it. Most of them were awkward and negative feelings towards the relationship between these two, but they were there. Is that what they were aiming at? I don't know. I was disgusted by them, and angry. How can you so selfishly base your every decision on whatever seems to make you happy? And by the way, what's with the meddlesome mother? Your daughter's 24 not 18.
Anyway, it's only 90 minutes long. Watch it if you have some free time and nothing else worth pressing play on.
The Good Doctor (2017)
Just wow
This show is delightful. Freddie Highmore has charmed his way to my heart through his role as Dr. Murphy, which he plays outstandingly. The drama, the romance, the comedy, the medicine, the friendships; it is all perfectly balanced in this show that has managed to portrait exceptionally the highs and lows of a person living with autism. It exceeded my expectations, by far.
What Happens in Vegas (2008)
My guilty pleasure
Get it over with. This is a romcom not a Spielberg's film. Yes, we do know how it is going to end the second it starts, but so we do with every other romcom, don't we??? that's the point. You know they are gonna end up together. This movie made me laugh and it was really nice and easy to watch. You can tell Kutcher and Diaz enjoyed working together for this, and as a woman who watches stupid romcoms once in a while as a guilty pleasure this was gold.
