Triple Frontier (2019)
Why?
Why ruin a movie by allowing such a moronic script?
Way to many plot holes and illogical twists - almost every scene has a "What the f...!" moment:
- Going on a recon mission to a house "in the middle of the jungle" is apparently no harder than spying on a neighbour (with no risk of being seen on the way from or to the house).
- They go to great lenghts trying not to hurt the house guards, strapping them down in the kitchen - and then just burn the whole house down...
- Using local guns and equipment to put the blame on rivalling Columbian gangs - but not covering their very American faces.
- Pushing the helicopter to the limit without even considering to make two runs ower the mountain peaks - or atleast shorten the wire hanging under the chopper.
- Carrying stupid amounts of heavy bags over a frigging mountain without neither supplies nor gear - and with one guy suffering (?) from a gun shot wound.
- Trying not to hurt (!) their opponents in the final gunfight - which btw is done by firing assault rifles at each other at bayonette distance.
- etc. etc.
Unstoppable (2010)
Unwatchable
Do not believe the 7/10 hype on IMDb. The only explanation is that half of this films budget (which by the way couldn't possible exceed 100.000 USD) was spent on bots posting good reviews. This film is one of the worst I've seen. Ever.
Why not place several trains ahead? Why did not the driver of the train ahead simply walk over to the Runaway Train and pull the brakes himself? Why not drive beside the train and push the button (the one the policemen tried to shoot(!))? Why not dumping sand or similar in front of the train? Why not ... well, remaster Runaway Train instead of filming this disaster?
Kenny Begins (2009)
"Comedy" without funny parts...
This film features a lot of top Swedish comedians - but somehow manages to strangle their creativity. Despite the film being based on the great TV-series Kenny Starfighter, nothing is even remotely as good as the original. Somebody on this forum compared Kenny Begins with SW 1-3, I tend to agree. A visually superior version of the original - but lacking in story/acting and overall feel.
About the humour: When I saw the movie (with my eleven year old daughter) the cinema audience laughed only three or four times during the entire movie. Sorry but watching Kenny drink shampoo just ain't funny (although it may sound funny). Top joke in the whole film: a computerized voice saying "800 degrees, trust me" (song lyric)...
Bill Skarsgård was probably casted due to his last name, did not display much acting skills. Johan Rheborg looked tired and Björn G. didn't get one single funny line to speak.
Great visual effects, nice props/costumes and über-cool super villains, though.
