Men (2022)
I just didn't get it
I don't really know what I have just watched. The ending is absolutely bonkers. Possibly one of the weirdest films I've ever seen. I have no idea how it has been rated 6.1. I am going to have to look up what this film was actually about. It starts off pretty good and makes you want to continue watching then about 3 quarters through it goes off the rails and you have no idea what the hell is going on. Watch it if you want a film that you don't understand, stay clear if you don't like weird because it is just that.......weird.
Yeah......weird as. I have no other words. I honestly couldn't believe what I was watching in the final scenes. Weird. You have been warned. Weird.
Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)
So disappointed
I waited 29 years for a sequel and this is what I got. I can't believe they approved this. Disappointed isn't even the word. I'm going to pretend this doesn't exist.
So very very poor, very very poor. I just can't explain how poor this film is. I can't believe Bette Midler, SJP and Kathy Najimy went anywhere near this terrible terrible script. They must be hard up and need the money.
I would say don't watch it but I kinda dare you to. See how bad it is yourself. Again.....so disappointed. Oh and what on earth did they do to SJP's eyebrows.... Holy cr@p.
This may be enough to cancel my disney subscription.
The Reef: Stalked (2022)
Boring
So very slow and boring. Some decent shark scenes and that's the only reason I gave it a 4. I wouldn't even bother watching it, absolute waste of time.
Better Call Saul: Saul Gone (2022)
It's not all good man
So disappointed. I can't believe the amount of people giving this 10/10. What an absolute let down. I honestly feel like 6 seasons were for nothing.its not all good man and it never will be. The build up for this....last 3 episodes were absolute garbage.
Chain Letter (2010)
Decent
I personally thought it was a decent attempt at a horror movie. Some of the death scenes were great, lots of blood and gore. The thing that let this down for me was the ending. Felt like a cliffhanger for chain letter 2....which was not made. Shame.
Joker (2019)
Meh
Not a fan of batman but because this has had such rave reviews I decided to give it a go. A film about a man with mental problems who is slowly falling into madness......sounds good, yet I found it so boring. There's obviously die hard fans and they're giving it 10/10, maybe because it lands the spotlight square on mental illness (which is a brilliant thing) but I found the whole movie very slow and boring. The last 10 minutes were the best. Joaquin Phoenix was brilliant (I'll give them that) my 4/10 is 4/10 because of Phoenix. I wouldn't watch again, or recommend paying to see it.
Changeland (2019)
🙄
So the film was great, funny and the cinematography was amazing. Personally I would have recommended the film right up until the very end where nothing is resolved....nothing. Possibly the worst ending I've seen in a very very VERY long time.
Rabbit (2017)
An absolute pile of crap
This sounded like a very promising movie and a interesting delve into the twin connection. However, in my opinion that is not what we got. It's a very slow moving film and lacks in a storyline that keeps you engaged. There is an over use of loud music to try and shock you which doesn't work. The cinematography is nice and pretty......but I wouldn't recommend watching if you are wanting a compelling thriller.
Jack and Jill (2011)
Not the best but not that bad
Loads of reviews giving this 1/10 and it's really not that bad. It's probably better than a lot of the most recent Adam Sandler stuff, definitely better than murder mystery. Some down right corny jokes but they're still funny, lots of slapstick and Al Pacino is great, such a good sport.
Rampage (2018)
Not even JDM could save this one.
I honestly can't understand the hype for this one. Jeffery Dean Morgan was by far the best in it, although he was very Negan esq.
Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice (2008)
Just Awful!
Very poor show peter! It just goes to show that you cant make this stuff up, and this is one instance where a reality show i.e The X-factor is more funny because of the sincerity and abject lack of talent of most of the contestants. Its just not possible to emulate that no matter how hard you try.
Felt like a total waste of an evening, boring to watch and I cant believe I got suckered into watching the second part.
I've liked Peter Kay for years, before many had even heard of him and it looks like he now believes his own hype.
Looks like this working class comedian just doesn't have the longevity of even some of his less talented peers. Even Johnny Vegas could manage better than this drivel.
If this continues he'll be taking a leaf out of Paddy's book and dining in style at a Greggs near you!
Nip/Tuck (2003)
Brilliant!!
This programme has only recently came to the UK, I watched the first one for curiosity as there had been so many adds for it. From then on I was Hooked. This programme has some brilliant story lines, Some stories are very controversial, some are just all about sex and deceit, they delve into hard topics, they make you laugh, they make you cringe, cry and think. After being in charmed I didn't think I would here about Julian McMahon for a while and neither did I think he would play a character like Christian Troy (a sexaholic), I didn't think he could pull it off, but I was wrong, all the Actors deliver brilliant performances everytime. This is definitely in my top ten list.
