Mulan (2020)

A film that screams bad writing.

I went into this film with an open mind but oh boy is it terrible. It feels like it wants to be original then it wants to be the 1998 version. The problem with the films writing is probably because of 4 writers not being able to decide what they want to do with this film.

So first Mulan now has "Chi" but forgets about it at the final act. Then it wants to be like the 1998 film but then switches back to "Chi".

Overall Mulan is a film that's plagued with bad writings but the only thing I enjoyed was the cinematography.

Overall it's a C- for me.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

The best Spiderman since the Sam Raimi trilogy.

Even though Mickey Mouse is now more of a brand than a cartoon character. This short proves Disney has not abandoned its roots all while giving us laugh out loud gags and references.

It's a good introduction to superhero movies for kids under the age of 6.

The best way to introduce kids to the superhero films in live action is definitely this. They can atcha this and how the genre works before going into things like the MCU films and others.

Tenet (2020)

Don't get me wrong this film is mostly amazing, the acting, the CGI, and the creativity put into this film. But my criticism for this film is this film is that it's so complex it will leave newcomers like me befuddled as to what just happened. I had to watch this twice and yet I was still confused at what just happened. I had to watch a Youtube video about tenet to explain step by step on what happened. After that I realized its a masterpiece. I recommend this 10/10 BUT MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THIS TWICE.

Unlike most sequels Disney make, this one tried. I saw the document series and everyone wanted to make this a great film but it ultimately misses the mark. The plot is a mess, new characters are barely used, and the songs aren't as catchy as let it go. Although I still have respect to everyone who had passion making this maybe Disney should consider letting people have more time to fix story problems.

Aladdin (2019)

The story is OK, the casting is fantastic except for Jafar, and Will Smith steals the whole show. The only good thing about this film is the songs are good and Will Smith is being himself.

I watched this film and in the first 30 minutes I fell asleep only to wake up at the end credit. Wow Tim Burton has really fallen from grace.

Even though this film pays homage to the original for to long I can say all it wants to do is to put a smile on hour face. It's a feel good enjoyable film everyone can atcha if they want something to cheer up.

Is this the worst thing made in marvel? No. Is it the best thing marvel made? No. Is it an enjoyable movie? Yes. Although it can be messy from time to time it's still a good popcorn flick film.

Uuuugghhhhhh. Don't just don't. You will regret watching this show even for newcomers just don't. The humor is Cringy as hell, the writing is just terrible, and no one is likeable. Please whatever you do don't watch this film. I'm saying this as a real reviewer.

Where do I even begin with this film. The writing is just a rip off of other better movies, characters are unlikeable, the animation looks so cheap.

Incredibles 2 (2018)

Very Overhated

This is NOT a bad movie if anything its still a good movie, even though it may not hit the Pixar standard it's still a good movie. Not a masterpiece but still a good movie. I remember laughing every time Jack Jack comes on screen like he basically steals this whole movie. The animation is amazing and the action scenes are fantastic. Actually the action scenes here outshines every DCEU action scenes.

OK now to the bad part, the villain. Evelyn's motivation is very confusing and her twist was sorta predictable but that just my opinion. But what I can say is this, she's a great villain on her own I like how Brad decided to go with a tragic backstory rather than having a man child like syndrome to be a villain. That's what I like about Evelyn is that she's not trying to be syndrome and try to be more of herself.

Even thought the script can have a weak villain the positive clearly balance out the negative. Even though it may not be as great as the original but Incredible 2 is still a fun movie to watch and you'll have a blast watching it.

My final grade: A-

Jon can make masterpieces like the jungle book and elf but this time he didn't make one. He made a soulless film that drained all the charm of the 1995 film and nothing more than a cash grab. Enjoy your billions Disney.
