#Xmas (2022)
Unbearable!
Pass! The lead actress makes this movie absolutely unbearable! Her strange facial expressions and oddly robotic movements are unexplainable. Her sister would've been much better as the lead in this movie. The premise starting off as a lie made it hard to watch. Why didn't they just cast the sister in the video to enter into the contest? I thought it was very immature of her to be angry with her mom because she remarried after her father passed away. She's a grown woman and it's odd that she's so concerned with how her
mom lives. Her love interest played a great part and would've been better off with somebody else.
I couldn't make it to the end watching this terrible actresses.
A Splash of Love (2022)
Her Voice!!!
Cute story, though a bit far-fetched with the science. Love Ben Hollingsworth in Virgin River so it was nice to see him in a Hallmark movie. The female lead's voice was piercing ti day the least. I fast forwarded through some of it just yo avoid heating her screech. I don't get it. Why is she trying to sound like a bratty child?
Pass on this one unless you enjoy nails on a chalkboard.
Road Trip Romance (2022)
Pass on this snooze trip
Another HM movie that I wish I never DVR'ed. Storyline has been done much better in other movies. The characters lacked chemistry. The mother's acting was atrocious! How can someone be that bad and still land a part? Spent way too long at the Renaissance Fair and those accents from the couple they met were so annoying. Unwatchable. Couldn't make it to the end. Looking forward to the upcoming summer movies with higher hopes.
Moonlight in Vermont (2017)
Goof
Cute movie. Love Lacey. At the beginning of the movie, her and her friend are in a restaurant and they're talking about how love is everywhere in Manhattan. The friend says, "Look around. There's love at the diner, love in Central PERK" (hello, are we watching Friends?).
A Country Wedding (2015)
Still the One
Even though this movie came out six years ago, A Country Wedding is still my favorite Hallmark movie. Most of these movies are a great background to have on while doing other things, but not this movie. There aren't many Hallmark movies I've missed and I feel confident saying this one will stand the test of time.
I love how they started out as childhood friends who were there for each other in difficult times. They go their separate ways, but somehow find each other again and discover that true love never dies. My favorite part is the bar scene when Jesse Metcalfe asks Autumn to dance and they can't help but kiss during the song. She runs off and he realizes his actress diva-girlfriend can't hold a candle to his childhood sweetheart. Love the music. Love the scenery. Love the characters. Love this movie!!!
Love in the Forecast (2020)
Sloooowwww movie...
The premise of the movie was different from the usual small town, festival-filled, love story. I had high hopes for this one, but the leading lady, Cindy Busby, was just so hard to watch. Her silly facial expressions seemed phony and her screechy voice seemed whiny. It was hard to get into this movie with her poor acting skills. I felt like I was watching a high school play when she was talking. The leading guy was much better. He seemed realistic and played his character role well. He was just paired with the wrong leading lady. Overall, I would pass on this one as you'd probably have more fun watching paint dry.
If I Only Had Christmas (2020)
Cute
This was another feel good Candace Christmas movie. I did notice a mistake in the script. When Darcy (Candace) is in the bar waiting to meet the CEO (who she's actually speaking to already), he asked her why she's visiting? She says oh I've always wanted to visit New England at Christmas time. However, they are in New York which is not part of New England.
