Kaçis: Dönüs Yok (2022)
IT is very dark, violent and niche theme series
The plot of the series starts right at the beginning of the first episode and it is clear that this will be a war in Syria and terrorist driven plot with quite heavy scenes. The feature music of the first episode is well chosen. There are very gruesome scenes or mass shootings which I can imagine would very much reflect reality. The involvement of women in terrorist organisations and cruelty is also highlighted right from the start. This is not a series you will want to watch for entertainment. It really is only for select few who would want to see this kind of theme and genre. The series is what it is. I find Engin is good and so the rest of the cast, but I find Engin is getting stuck in the same or very similar genre. His characters seems to blend into one and there is none which stands out anymore. Surely hischarcaters are carried by often gripping and overly dramatic plot but that is not enough for me to be captivated by him as an actor. He surely has talent but he is playing it very safe in respect of his script and character choices. He has written this series and I have to ask myself why. He has talent for writing gripping war/violent script.
Dünyayla Benim Aramda: Acceptance (2022)
The plot is boring and the cast does not match the characters
At this episode Kanan comes onto scene, but who has casted the character could not have chosen oddest actor to match the character. There is zero believability of the scene where Ilkin is at home getting drunk. Honestly I have to say that from the key cast only that of Sinam and the manager to Tolga are casted well. The rest of the cast gives me a feel that the series was written with different actors in mind for the characters but they were not available so back up came in. The story line is at this point boring because there is really no action or grip plot written. Who in the real world would do what the plot of this series is based on... Sorry but at this point I am leaving this series.
Ben Gri: Niye Sasirdin? (2022)
The thriller start right at this episode
The thriller really starts in this episode. Following Fuat's go ahead to the murder of the alleged rapist of his daughter Selin at the end of episode 1. Fuat gets involved in the web of great manipulation by the unknown group. He fearing for his and his family life follows instruction which gets him even more involved in the dark web of intrigues. His daughter when confronted by police fails to identify her rapist. The acting of all the actors involved including the young actors is very good and very believable. One can see that the actors were chosen on the suitability for the role. The young actresses playing Ceyda and Selim are very well picked.

Not much of plot development
This episode for me plot wise is empty. There has not been much of a progress in the storyline. It is almost a repeat of episode 2 with not much more. By know I have definitely come to a conclusion that Burgan Ulsoy was not the right choice for the lead role. He is a good actor but this role simply does not suit him. The emotional conversations between his character and that of Demet Ozdemir are flat. The cinematograpy and direction of the episode is very good, but the only thing I would say that I did not really like the design of the catwalk scene and the whole lighting, it became very dark, the same was repeated in the scene of Grand Hotel restaurant. As already said Sancaktutan plays Sinem really well, she is believable and is able to portray the naivety and innocence of the character rightly. The chemistry between her and Burga is good and they would work well in another series. The music definitely elevate the series. At this point one wants to simply just see a love story development between Tolga and Sinem with the evil Ilkin going into background.
Ben Gri: Hazirsan Basliyoruz (2022)
Very effective plot introduction
I have to say that this story is really gripping right from the start. The choice of the actors is very good as they portray the characters very well. The storyline of a famous lawyer who gets through set up involved in a forced punisher style set up. The shooting of the individual frames and the light of the series also contributes to the effective writing of the plot. It has a great flow right fromt he start and very good young actresses were chosen for the Fuat's daughter and her friend roles. The series always ends in episode clif hanger which wants for you to watch next episode right aaway.
Dünyayla Benim Aramda: Suspicion (2022)
Sinem character takes the lead
So to follow from episode 1 it definitely confirm to be me that the star of the show is Sancaktutan. She presents the role of Sinem really well and her chemistry with Burga Ulsoy is much more attuned than the one with Ozdemir. It is very clearly seen from the scene where the two are playing a game at the table and Sinem is trying to persuade Tolga to do something he is scared to do. The same intesnisty continues at the following scenes at the Music Art Museum. The chemistry between the two gradually increases and gets much more captivating. The actress was convincing and relax also in the self-pleasure scene, so good on her. In general the series is a normal type of Turkish dizi without censorship you can watch on TV, but based on the script so far I am not expecting anything spectacular to happen which will make it to stand out from the normal type of series.
Dünyayla Benim Aramda: Denial (2022)
A bit laborious effort of the actors in the first episode
So the story start in the episode 1 with the setting of Turkish entertainment world of course full of fake people and where famous actor and and the editor-in chief of fashion magazine meet and fall in love. The shooting of the series and cinematography shows is of very good standard and there are some nice songs and visually attractive still shots however I have to say that Bugra Gulsoy have not convinced me at all as Tolga in episode 1. I have seen him in different series and here his acting is forced and almost clinical. The sequence of his mental breakdown on the series set come across almost grotesque. Maybe it is also his styling for the series which does not help to start with. Even the seducing scenes where chemistry is required between the two leads the effort in creating the sexually charged scenes is clearly seen. On the other hand we have Demet Ozdemir who as well does not convince to start with as Ilkin. I just cannot fit her energy to a role of editor in chief. I think the main issue is styling...there is nothing different which would differentiate that character from another character of a magazine helper and hence elevate her into a senior role.... the writers failed to differentiate the character here. When you see Sinam character come into the story at the end of episode 1 ( played by Sancaktutan ) you will on the other hand get immediately a sense that the role and the actress is well matched visually and in the initial naivety of the character.
Ben Gri (2022)
Good thriller
It is a good thriller with twists and turns. Each episode ends in a way which wants you to watch what is coming next. All actors are good and the atmosphere of the thriller is designed in line with the topic presented. The progress of the storyline is fluid and continuous and does not leave any gaps. New information constantly come to line which make the situations which were presented in past clearer but at the same time still introduce levels of mystery further which makes you wonder what comes next. The storyline really well represents the title of the CHOICE between what is our mind or heart telling us.
Viola come il mare: Tutti i colori di Viola (2022)
Excellent start
The plot of the first episode is very good. It flows from beginning roll to an end taking the viewer through simple and quick introduction of the mail characters and the underlining plot related to Viola's return to Palermo as well as introduces synthesia as neuro-degenerative disease. Francesco Demir and Viola Vitale immediately take the c'è yet stage of the series and the chemistry between the characters are spot on. The same goes for act of Francesco and Turi. Can Yaman for his first Italian series without dubbing was spot on in his acting with excellent diction even lot of Italian actors have problems with as he had to use technical police language. The plot is now set regarding search of Viola's father as well as Francesco's quest to under people smuggling in Palermo. Cannot wait for next Friday on how the plot develops. It reached on average 3.4M audience with 20.4% rating haven't seen for premier of fiction on Canale 5 for over 20 years.
Viola come il mare (2022)
Can Yaman steals the show
Can Yaman stealing the show in first 2 episodes. The plot is flowing really well
And the neurological issue of Viola and issues surrounding it care getting slowly introduced. Francesco and Demir a really funny and both actors very very well complement each other in comedic timing. Can Yaman's acting is on point and in character all the time and taking in account this is his second language it is extraordinary to say is extraordinary. Chemistry between Viola and Demir is superb and it is clear that it will be hot going forward. So well done all who wrote and actors for excellent performance, so well done.
365 Days: This Day (2022)
GOD this is BAD
I watched the first one only because it generated so much noise overall and I though that the first film was bad, but the sequel is a whole new level of BAD. I though films suppose to have some form of development and plot but here 35 minutes in and where is it... frankly the acting on both parts of the leads are worse than in the first film and one get even put off by the sex scenes...it is porn film on Netflix.
Bay Yanlis: Askin Gücü (2020)
This episode is the total bomb
There is not a lot one can say without giving spoilers. If you want a real
Love story of two couples moving to a next stage... this episode is a bomb. It is also incredibly funny. Do not remember laughing so much at the conversation and performances of especially Emre and Levent. Total auperb gem of a series
Bay Yanlis: Aska Güven (2020)
Excellent episodes
This series is the most modern romcom Turkey has made to date. Equality of women and men and modern relationship. Fantastic acting by Ozge Gurel and Can Yaman and rest of the cast and top class humour! Love it... Can watch this time and time again...
Bay Yanlis: Askin Dansi (2020)
This episode is a star and must watch
This episode has delivered exceptional action of all the cast and another shirt in storyline. Ozgur and Ezgi are progressing and shifting the desire for each other which is manifested by dance of love. I cannot say more not to give spoilers. Also there is a major shift between Denis and Ozan which will make you think hearts. There is a fantastic scene between Ezgi and her ex and Ozgur and the final of episode want's to scream... give me episode 8 now. The show is progressing extremely well with fantastic dialogues and reflections on relationships between individuals and uncovering their good or bad personality layer by layer. The series has solid audience which is also increasing after holidays. This is the most unique and freshest romcom Turkey has made so far and the domestic audience is discovering this. Also this dizi is not built on just one lead couple. Both key couples are important and given space on the show. They are beautiful and cute in different way.
Bay Yanlis: Asik Miyiz? (2020)
The hottest scenes
This episode was simply epic! The lead couple has definitely raised the notch majority in respect of their chemistry. There are several scenes where the heat literally taJed your breath away.
The dialogues going alongside key scenes in respect of relationships between men and women are absolutely spot in and fantastic!
This is the best episode yet and is a must watch!
Acting of both leads and the rest of the team is on point, but the lead couple is incredible!
Bay Yanlis: Dogru Insan (2020)
Another outstanding episode with a major twist...
The episode was yet again mastery of
Comedic scenes by Can Yaman, Ozge Gurel and the rest of the cast. By this episode pretty much all main characters have met and their brief story is know. In this episode few major twists arrive on the scene which indicates a bit more introduction of drama and in following episodes. Also Özgür the main
Protagonist seems to have his head in twist by Ezgi...next fragman for episode 6 is a jaw dropper with excellent chemistry acted by the main couple. Can't wait.
Sen Çal Kapimi: Episode #1.2 (2020)
Lack of decent dialogs with sociological context
This dizi is turning into a Erkenci Kus version 2.0. Similar scenes even though slightly modified lack acting refinement from leads with over focus on romance, stares and pose moments. It is also turning into cliche in respect of the private relationship between the leads as well. We are in episode 2 and the headlines and rounds on social media and press is about private relationship between the leads. I so far haven't seen any high quality dialogues. Let's see what can be delivered over future episodes. On other hand this dizi is a paradise for those who want to succumb to only focus on the relationship between the leads without focus on performance and sociological message delivery. So to sum up, it is yet another teenage romance fairytale story of poor girl and rich boy.
Bay Yanlis: Asktan Korkma (2020)
Superb witty and really truly funny episode
Episode 4 was another masterclass in comedy with light touches of romance. Both leads presented incredibly fast passes dialogues with high levels of comedic delivery. Transitions between fights to light romance scenes were flawless underlined by the incredible beauty of the setting of the episode. Can Yaman particularly acted with high quality not loosing integrity to a character of Ozgur Atasoy got a minutes. Ozge Gurel in reverse also delivered witty and fluid performance alongside other characters. This dizi is fast paced and truly a breAth of fresh air from the constant repetitive cliche of lusting couples who play on social media perception. Bravo to the team!
Bay Yanlis: Episode #1.3 (2020)
Amazing episode
This episode has some of the most stunning locations of Turkey. It is cinematographic and acting gem. No joke that it has won the critical AB Turkish rayting group and as first time as summer dizi took the lead from the top performer Survivor. It is very colourful, again fast passes and Ozge Gurel and Can Yaman acting and dialogues alongside other character introductions are second to none. This is a top notch Turkish delight.
Bay Yanlis: Episode #1.2 (2020)
What a gem of episode
Second episode truly shows the Tom and Jerry like relationship between Ezgi and Ozgur as new next door. Again fast paced with excellent dialogues and lots of laughter. This is turning out to be the laughing gem of the summer series without cliche plot.
Bay Yanlis: Episode #1.1 (2020)
Hard core starti
When you start the first episode of the series you will think wow... this doesn't feel like Turkish series. The cinematography, the locations the topic and dialogues. The episode has a lot of pace and shirtless Can Yaman only to allow for the introduction of Ozgur as a character. The feel and vibe of the dizi is total surprise and 2 hours will pass with speed of the light. Marvel to watch.
Sen Çal Kapimi (2020)
Yet another teenage lovestory
I am reading the reviews marked 8/10 and higher and I am just gasping for breath. The series is a serious copy of already very phenomenal series Erkenci Kus which has been sold globally. The writer is the same and she didn't think twice to literally copy whole scenes and sequences with very small changes from Erkenci Kus and bring the same old concept of myth into a story line. This series has a very good 8+ rayting on completely empty broadcast day and surrounded with PR wheel of trying to make public believe that there is a love between the lead couple. As soon as the broadcast day fill up the series as dropped to its 4-5 band which it is too much taking in account that the lead actors acting is mediocre at best. The female lead saves the series with he mass of teenage fans she has in Turkey and or abroad and good looks, but that is it. You can see why she is not successful in any other genre. Lack of maturity and acting ability above that of beauty. The lead actor is average and not my cup of tea. He has very limited ability to characterize a role and make you believe in its portrayal. He has been around for a long time and this is frankly making ride on the popularity of the female lead and the PR wheel generated by Turkish series industry. Those who follow Turkish series will know what I mean. Over all. I recommend to downgrade your expectations from the average of 7.8 to more like 6.5... and also pitch the series around 19-25 years of age as average group. Do not look for good acting or messaging in this series. It is just and over inflated PR job for an average series.

Adult romcom based on reality and not fairytales
If you want to sit in front of a TV and watch a romcom for adults which appeals to broad audience women and men of all ages with great fast pace, excellent hilarious dialogues, grounded real life relatable story and which in any shape or form doesn't make a woman in the series looks rudiculous, please tune it. This is the best laugh I had in ages. Every episode is better than the other one. Very high standard of American style cinematography and the lost gorgeous Turkish holiday locations included. It reminds me of a mix of: Ugly truth, how to loose a guy in 10 days, holiday in Rome and other iconic American romcoms linked to one. Some of the side characters are the best comedy actors I have seen in Turkish series and the general chemistry and energy of the whole team is second to none. So if you want to cry with laughter in the corona days, tune into this gem! 😍
