The Other Side of the Mountain (1975)
A 20 Handerkerchief Movie!
I have loved this Movie ever since it's release in 77 i believe. I can not say enough in terms of touting this story's appeal to all those looking for that one movie that shows a Womans courage and determination. Beau Bridges set the standard for what I think a True Man is like. He gave a Very Fine performance! The part that truly had me crying my eyes out was when she/Jill was waiting for Dick to give her that call, but it never came. And I will not say why the call did'nt come because if I did, I would actually feel tears welling up in my eyes. The ending was VERY Poignant and also left me with a feeling like This Woman is gonna be OK. She has conquered the most devastating of Tradgedies and has emerged from it with the Courage of a True Hero! God-Bless YOU Jill Kinmont.
The Man in the Iron Mask (1998)
Gabriel Bryne and Jeremy Irons in the same Movie=Dynamite!
Wow! What does one say now! It's all pretty much been stated in the above comments. I first saw this movie a year ago and was so taken by it, that a week later I bought the DVD of it. I did'nt even realize that I liked this type of movie until I watched this! And I'm not quite sure I would have even watched the whole movie, had it not had that certain combination of Actors in it. Gabriel Bryne and Jeremy Irons are in my opinion, Consummate Actors and Give Brilliant as well as their all in any movie I've seen them in. I could take or leave Leo Di Caprio until I saw this movie and now he has been definitely added to my list of Favorite actors. The Great Sword fight towards the end was AWESOME! I only wish that D'Artagnon would'nt have had to die in it. That scene where he/Gabriel Bryne dies lying on the floor made me weep right along with Leo/Phillipe. And the line that I Love the most and keep going back and playing over is Superbly delivered by Gabriel B. " You have taken my King and Now I shall take your's" It drives me crazy! And makes my heart race! A definite 10 Popcorn boxes out of 10 to watch.
Fight for Justice: The Nancy Conn Story (1995)
This is a must see Movie!
I thought this Movie was Excellent. It held my attention from beginning to end and I felt it was Directed very well. The title of this Movie is very appropriate in it's context relating to the theme of the movie. I felt really connected to the Victim and was cheering her on in her fight to justice. The Actor that portrayed the Perpetrator gave an excellent as well as believable performance as well. I have always been compelled to watch True-based Dramas and this Movie is my first to add to my favorites list. This movie also gave me the heads up so to speak on Henners acting capacity. I've never seen her in anything but a comedy type role. So, I was pleasantly surprised and happy to see her branch out into a complete opposite Character portrayal.
