Who Is Amos Otis? (2020)
It's about truth but are they really telling it?
This is not a movie but a filmed play. The courtroom scenes are ridiculous. There are literally 13 people at the trial of a man accused of killing the President. Not even any guards in the room.
Also, it should be noted that in the advertising of this film it has been stated "based on the Pulitzer Nominated play." That is where the truth gets fuzzy. According to Columbia University and the Pulitzer granting board only finalist are 'nominated', which this play was not. Look it up. All finalist since 1980 are listed. Thousands of dramas are entered every year. Just because your community theatre enters your work does not mean you were 'nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.'
So let's talk about truth!
Divine Will (2017)
Just Found This Family Film
I just found this film on Amazon's UP: FAITH AND FAMILY. It's a charming family film with wonderful songs! My two teenagers have watched the film three times now, and they are already singing along with the soundtrack. After some research I discovered that the leads of the film are all singers! Lee Roessler, playing the character of Will Blessing, and Brent Reed, the character of Dave Blessing, are both Christian Rock singers with numerous albums to their credit. Also, Kathryn Boswell, playing Casey Buckner, is a Broadway star from numerous award winning musicals. That explains it all!!
After being a rock star, Dave Blessing takes a job as the music minister a church in Punkyville, Kentucky. This is their chance to start over, and an opportunity to move Will away from the temptations of the big city. Punkyville is a small, eccentric town in the middle of Kentucky whose citizens odd but charming. Here's the catch...Will Blessing is not only a gifted musician, but Will also has a special spiritual gift. (That's all I'm going to say so that I don't give the story away.)
This film is more family than faith, so don't expect a heavy religious message. It's funny, sweet and a blast to listen to! I highly recommend it.
