If you don't cry, you're not human.

My words regarding this film.

The director's staging is impressive, I know very little about him but I know that he was avant-garde at the time, before us a work of art from any point you see, original angles, camera in hand (not so common for the time). , sequence shot, close-ups when the moment is tense. Front line art.

The quality of the film is great, its black and white, that 4 3 framing, I know it is a classic and I would recommend it to anyone who asks me from today for a film of the highest level.

The line of action is very fine, professional artists, plus the pulsating story that develops in such a short time (storyline of the film) make you shudder...that's why, if you don't cry, you're not human.

Art still art ever

Anna Maganani in this film jumps to the threshold of how magnificent it was and continues to resemble Italian neorealism even after 70 years, that unique story taken to celluloid as a magical work, under the direction of a director with a fighting soul, Visconti, with deep roots overflowing with humanism, capable of making us victims of pleasure and pain in a matter of minutes. Personally, I do not know how to make movies and I understand the most basic of the language of the seventh art, but this human jewel is very difficult to see and not rejoice after sight, a masterpiece of a master, simply beautiful, bellisima !!

Oceans of nostalgia.

I tried to imagine this film in color, it is highly sensitive, a very high point in Italian neorealism. A masterpiece of cinematographic narrative.

I recommend seeing it for its high content.

About the movie, I can say that it comes from the young moment of cinema, when everything was innocence and that pleases me. I am not a filmmaker but this piece is worth keeping very close to our heart of combative soul, thanks Visconti and to those who interpreted such a magnificent piece.
