BUMPY WOULD BE PROUD
20 March 2023
This movie was a good watch, the acting was great particularly the two masters of this epic film. Russel Crowe and Denzel Washington were perfectly cast for the roles they portrayed. I watched the unrated uncut version of this movie. Even with almost a 3 hour run time I did not feel like the director dragged out the necessary scenes that clearly built the plot. It was indeed intricate in some areas and did not lose my full attention to the words spoken. Although there are other movies that contain organized crime, drugs and a lot of guns and violence this one told a deep real life emergence of attitudes toward making our USA a better place to live for everyone. Most of the results never existed before in our Country's history. Hang on till the very end of this movie for the big reveal.

The Firm (1993)

Cruise was young but on course to be great in film.

This obviously is a Grishom novel about a law firm. The beginning was a bit slow and lumbering apparently trying to set up the storyline. Once it got going it was full speed ahead. Who was going to win this battle of lies. Just about everyone or anyone was a hiding something and to guess the outcome exactly would not be easy. The lead characters played their roles well, some were exceptional. I never liked Cruise's wife in the movie. Too much of a pain for me. But if that was the worse part it was still well worth my time to watch the entire film. Who knew lawyers could be so devious. LOL. If you have got the time I suggest you watch it.

A thriller with a lot of twists & turns
12 March 2023
Something about Matthew McConaughey playing a very slick lawyer. A+ for him. M Mc is believable and keeps you on your toes watching and listening to all that is happening. No down time in this film. There is something always going on and keeping your attention to the details. My husband and I really enjoyed this film. M Mc really shows his street smarts to get the job done. I liked the fact that McConaughey knew how when and where to interact with all the people on the streets of a tough City. I got some laughs along the way as well and could identify with some of the scary things going on in a big City. It would be well worth your time to watch this picture. If you are like me you will love the ending.

OVER TOO SOON!
30 January 2023
I really enjoyed watching this show. Each series within the series had a new mystery bringing about a need for great investigative instinct to solve the mysteries presented. The episodes were complex with twists and turns along the way. Watch this when you have the time to really listen to the dialogue or you will miss a clue or two along the way. At first blush and thereafter this is not a glamourous role for the co-stars, but they have tremendous screen chemistry. The only disappointment was the series was too short. This all takes place in England and shows the real streets of downtown as well as the English countryside. A nice mix of cinematography along the way.

Hunters (2020–2023)

Really liked Season 1; Season 2 dropped like a ton of bricks
30 January 2023
When I started watching Hunters Season 1. I did not know what to expect. Some of the actors and acting was very good, convincing in their roles and made you think, a lot. Although the "group" certainly had their oddities it could make you laugh, make you cry, make you think. I enjoyed Season 1 for what it was, but could not have imagined a follow up. Then Season 2 came about. I watched. I tried to watch. Love Jonah, think he is the anchor of the show but the supporting cast is not helping here. Some of the actors in Season 2 are really tough to deal with. Some are just plain annoying. Watch Season 1 and forget that Season 2 exists.

Episode 1 had promise, but it didn't last
30 January 2023
The people behind this series have good creds. What happened? The first episode drew me in and I thought we have a winner here. Well after that; not so much. I continued to watch but after 2 more episodes I felt like I was in a lack luster hamster wheel. Sorry but this one did not make my top listers. From the trailer it peaked my interest and I could deal with the Columbo likeness that some pointed out. I found the chatter of the main character becoming more of a pain to listen to then an interesting twist on the role. What about Benjamin Brat? I really like him. Thought he could have brought some intrigue to the table but he wasn't in it enough to allow the character to fully develop.
