Not sure who the audience is for this....
7 February 2023
The audience isn't me that is for sure. I forced myself to watch it start to finish. Took two goes. Seems aimed at the 4 to 7 y.o. Group. Critical thinking not allowed. I have never been a huge Superman fan, yet over the years there have been several animated movies in his genre by D. C., many of them remarkably well written, drawn and voiced, with plots that work on several levels, allowing a mixed age group of viewers. Sadly this isn't one of those. I just hope and pray that this is not the direction that D. C. will now go with animations. Perhaps the objective is to abandon the market to the Japanese anime scene? So sad.

A hot hate mess
3 December 2021
Shocking that such hate speech is produced in America and called a Holiday movie. Spare your brain and give this one a pass. I wish someone had told me so I didn't watch this drivel.

Debris (2021)

Poorly written planks for actors what is to like really? The concept perhaps.
5 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Lead "actors" can't act. Basic plot concept is great, execution horrible. The basic plot device of each episode relies on a new piece of debris each time. What the debris does or what the effects are of each piece literally makes no sense.

Think about it: if a bolt, a window, and a seat fall off an airplane onto a island with primitive humans, would each item have magical (to the people on the ground) properties? Like having an effect on time for the bolt, the window can transport a person where they like, or the seat is a remote viewing device. Of course not. They might "wonder" at the transparency of the window, the hardness of the metal bolt, the engineering of the seat. Not they sit on the seat and see somebody in LA. That is the kind of drivel written here. I gave it a generous 4 stars because the female lead's father in the series was in Charlie Jade, a classic scifi series, unlike this drivel.

And now we witness the destruction of a darn good series.

Season 4, bad acting, bad writing, nonsense plot.

So this is where we are going with Hollywood now? Fake history?

Go woke go broke. I downgraded my overall rating for the series and this season is barely a one at this point. Only the costumes and cars are well done. Everything else is fake news.

At first I thought I was watching "The Onion" version of the start of WWII.
30 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
But it turns out it is nothing more than the "Woke" version. Poor writing and acting combined. The worst scene was when the British translator was blown through a heavy wood and glass door by a bomb, yet was not hurt - the door was turned to kindling. Don't think that's how it works.Don't waste your time.

Listen to the other reviewer - Just Say No

Complete and utter nonsense. I can say nothing positive about this movie. The movie does serve as a guide to everything that is wrong about the modern movie industry. No wonder people stay home rather than go to the theater. Demand your money back for paying to see this trash.

In case it does not register, I gave this movie a 1/10.

Gary Oldman, you should be ashamed.

Disturbing and weird - Potential Cult Classic
2 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It seems there are not many parts 60 yo Sean Bean will take a pass on - don't think it is the money so he must love working, period. More power to him. It was a bit disturbing seeing him rub the belly of his "teevee" 14 yo looking preggers girlfriend, but funny after I thought about it. Many other familiar actors here that are quite enjoyable seeing out of their usual typical story-line. So far I have only seen the first episode, but I enjoyed this one so far. Keep it bizarre and I'll be back for more! Gave it a 6 so far but room to move up if it gets crazier.

Extremely boring.
10 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
At the end, I did not care what the result was. I had to keep slapping myself in the face to stay awake. The only thing of note to me was how much money must have been spent to find out who the killer was, and that the British taxpayers pay to fly cops to France to tell the victim's parents they (the cops) screwed up. It is a wonder the cast was able to stay awake, although some of the acting resembled sleepwalking. This mini series could be a cure for insomnia.

Not horrible - just not good.

Warning: Spoilers
Just finished watching all 10 episodes. Hard to believe that a show with 30 minute episodes that contain lengthy end credits in which nothing much happens could be so boring. You might find a few bright spots in this otherwise drab series. I found the end weak at best. As for Ms. Roberts, it must be very difficult to act with that mask she is wearing. I expected so much based on Sam Esmail's track record, however, I was sadly disappointed. There was nothing really novel or trend-breaking about the plot, the big camera "vision" was switching to an iPod type view at times, I swear this was stolen from some porno, at least it has been seen there first. Esmail better try harder next time or his run is over. As for casting, same PC crap you have been seeing for the last few years, white bad, any other race good.

Sad waste of digits on a hard drive.
13 October 2018
I admit I only made it about 20 minutes into the video. All of it up to that point had been shot inside a warehouse somewhere. The described events didn't match up with the video. Looked more like a walk through of the script without any set design. I would guess they have invested about 5 grand in costume and warehouse rental. Don't waste your time.

Mr Inbetween (2018–2021)
9/10
Worth watching, stick with it.
3 October 2018
Gritty show from Australia which I found quite believable, unlike shows in the vein of Ray Donovan etc. Having known a few people in my time on earth that actually made a living from crime and violence, I found the portrayals realistic. There is no glamorized violence, kung fu, CGI BS or 90 pound women in high heels and evening dress beating up 220 pound thugs, so if that fake Hollywood world is your thing, this is not for you. In the real world, people are multi-faceted, and this show does a good job of presenting that with the main character. I am not Australian, but I didn't need subtitles to understand the dialogue. As for the reviewer who said the main character is a rip off of Mike from Breaking Bad, you are wrong. The lead in Mr Inbetween is a direct recreation of the lead role in The Magician, 2005, an Australian movie. Scott Ryan wrote the movie and played the lead, and he is a writer on Mr Inbetween and also plays the same character. Note Breaking Bad didn't air until 2008, 3 years after The Magician, so if anything, Mike is a rip off of Ray Shoesmith.

Don't miss this show if you like realistic action, settings and characters. If you like Hollywood and typical UK PC police procedurals, you might not like this. Personally, I found Mr Inbetween a breath of fresh air.

Unjustified high rating above 2.

Complete and utter video garbage. I am truly shocked how the BBC & Netflix got robbed for so much money in financing this tripe. If you want to watch a made up swords and sandals go find a Legends of Hercules episode. The acting and dialogue will be better. I have suffered through episode 6 and literally cannot take any more, there is no hope for this series to ever progress beyond awful. I suggest they rename this to "Troy: Fail of a Series", and re-market it as a cautionary tale to others in the industry. Perhaps in the discount DVD bin at the local low cost retailer. As to the "positive" reviews here, I can only suspect they were financed by the producers or other financially involved parties to try to salvage some credibility. Of course, these efforts always fail in the end, it does not matter what positive spin you use to try to convince the public your product is good, once the public has a taste they will spit it out of their collective mouths. Yes, it is that bad, consider yourself, dear viewer, warned.
