Garfield: The Movie (2004)

Garfield is terrific!

I watched this film so many times as a kid and what a joy it was to rewatch it as an adult.

The film is funny, engaging, and heart warming.

John and Lis' relationship development is a strong point in the film as well as Garfield's and Oddie's.

The script is on point, the villains are bonkers and the film is just so underrated.

Now I know why I love lasagne so much, because of this film.

Not too sure why we didn't get Garfield 3, always wondered why that never saw the light of day.

Looking forward to rewatching Garfield 2: A Tale of Two Kitties, which is set in the capital of my country, London.

The Flash (I) (2023)

Great opening and worse ending in movie history?

The film had a great opening and it was a delight to see Ben Affleck and Jeremy Irons return as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Alfred.

There were interesting characters throughout the film and Miller's costume was stunning.

The cameos were a joyful surprise, aside from the shady CGI which felt like a PS2 game, especially the Nicholas Cage ones.

The set-up for Keaton's return however was so badly done and disrespectful to him and Burton' precious work. Then to have him killed towards the end, absolute shambles.

The final stab in the back was the ending. Was the director Andy Muschietti on crack?

What made him decide to have George Clooney return as Bruce Wayne?

I could tell it was his voice on the phone, before he even appeared on screen.

By far the worst ending in movie history and Muschietti is directing the next Batman? God save us.

Doctor Who: The Woman Who Fell to Earth (2018) Season 11, Episode 1

Worst opening for a new Doctor!

An extremely week opening episode for a new Doctor, mostly due to the lack of performance from Whittaker and the rather boring story.

The effects and cinematography were great and Bradley Walsh (Bradley) and Sharon D Clarke (Grace) performances do deliver and add at least some interest to the episode.

The episode barely focuses on its lead role and gives no exciting start for a new Doctor like we saw in Rose (2005) with Christopher Eccleston, The Christmas Invasion (2005) with David Tennant, The Eleventh Hour (2010) with Matt Smith and Deep Breath (2014) with Peter Capaldi, very poor writing.

Time (2021– )

Masterpiece of British writing.

A strong series, brilliant writing, the best cast and a suitable ending. Sean Bean (Mark Hebden) and Stephen Graham (Eric Reid) shined throughout and each episode got more and more interesting.

Some stated 'Hard to Watch' which I find odd as to me this series was a life lesson of what a little mistake in your life could do to your future.

Eleven (2018)

Strong Script, Good Cinematography

The editing is not great, the main transitions between each scene (gradient) is an odd choice for a feature film.

The music dosen't fit in a few places and there are times when music is needed and it isn't there.

The music also cuts out while people are talking and fades in and out in the wrong places.

The lighting could have been much better in the indoor scenes and the opening scene in the forest.

The trenches look amazing as many have pointed out, and really gives you the feel of what it was like for the soldiers.

The camera angles and positions could have been better in certain scenes.

Overall it's a good movie, the script is strong, the characters have good lines and cinematography is incredible.

I know a few of the lead actors personally and I'm being honest with this review.

I am not leaving a fake review which happens a lot with people who watch their friends films that have been made through the independent industry.

The Sweeney (1975–1978)

The Hit of the 1970s.

From 'Regan' the Pilot, to 'Ringer' with the villainous Frank Kemble (Brian Blessed) to Series 2s 'Golden Fleece' and 'Trojan Bus' with the cocky Australian duo Colin McGruder (Patrick Mower) and Ray Stackpole (George Layton) is what makes the series a hit.

Fast cars, police chases, shoot outs, 70s music, lots of drinking of scotch, tons of villain's and decent storylines.

Regan (John Thaw) and Carter (Dennis Waterman) are a great duo and couldn't have been casted better and the pair always have Chief Inspector Haskins (Garfield Morgan) at their side.

There were so many great Actors and Actresses that appeared in show over the 4 years it ran from Julian Glover to Billy Murray and more.
