Mother of Dragons
27 March 2024
I mean, It's the Mother of Dragons! What else can anyone say! Her acting is flawless as well as her eyebrows. Actually the film is pretty damn good as far as predicting the best future. She is the first of her name. Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen. Daenerys Targaryen : The First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Khalisee of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons. May she find peace. May she find peace. Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen. Daenerys Targaryen : The First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Khalisee of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons.

boring
1 February 2024
This show was practically unwatchable for me. We got a crazy serial killer running rampant through Detroit at high speed, being the worst human on earth, and this slow moving, slow talking, aww shucks marshall from Florida is getting his a** handed to him about a million times. The marshall doesn't really do any detective work since he's so busy dealing with his daughter and schtupping the bad guys attorney. This guy is literally a super villain and cannot be stopped until he casually kills the whole cast. Meanwhile the marshall is grinning and smirking, not doing any real work. I'm glad it's over.

First season ok; second season not so much
26 November 2023
The second season oh my God, I can't even. Who cares about these characters running around like a little ants going from planet to planet to planet chatting chatting chatting chatting and nothing ever really happens. I like the first season which makes a cohesive sense season two is just a bunch of darts thrown at the wall. I can't even. I hope the mule comes and does a good job so waiting for that, anyway I'll keep watching it but that's what I'm feeling right now. I hope that it gets much much better and I hope the this season knocks out of the park. I really do. I'll change my rating if they do, we'll see.

Drink Masters (2022– )

hmmm
17 November 2022
Extremely creative drinks but the over-the-top, hyper-overconfidence of the contents is completely off putting. Tone it down, guys! Do you need to spend the episode talking yourselves up to the levels of Trumpian heights? Because it ain't pretty, especially when you don't do well.

Learn from the British baking contestents! They are so humble. And do bartenders need to be so weird? That's just my opinion.

This is like one big video game.

The judges are awesome, articulate and fair. Where do I apply?

Again, I do love the creativity and work put into the drink preps. I might be inspired to recreate some of them.

No good

Warning: Spoilers
What a train wreck of a film! Over the top acting. Glacial yet uneven paving. Silly plot. Incomprehensible character actions. I knew that the Cooper character would become a geek in the end the minute the concept was introduced early on in the film. But the set design was very good, I'll give it that. Except for the fake snow. 99% of that "snow" was always floating upwards. So dumb.

Why should I like this series?
27 February 2022
I'm not sure what to enjoy in this series. The set design is ugly; the acting flat; the characters unlikable; the science unconvincing. And the plot is nonsensical.

nah

Too precious for me. I couldn't even finish it. I got cavities. Seems it was made for kindergartners. Many tired tropes: dystopian landscape, man and dog, cute robot that spouts funny things. This one was very slick but nothing there.

Bad acting, terrible cliched script. It was all done better with Close Encounters. Not worth your time.

Poorly done
26 May 2021
Yes the case is intriguing but the whole season is dumbed down to Sesame Street level. Tourists, cops, residents all say THE most obvious stupidist things. How many times did that cop say, "what is going on here?!" It's like they've never investigated a crime before. And the British couple! Oh my god can you say clueless? But the worst are the so-called web sleuths who contributed nothing to solving the case but were showcased in the series saying useless, vacuous things to the camera like, "oh this video is strange! The first time I saw it I knew it was strange" or "I spent thousands of hours researching that video"

Kudos to the plumber who found the body and the Skid Row inhabitants. My heart goes out to them.

I am devastated

I just completed season 1 and I can tell you that each episode left my jaw on the floor. It's unusual to see people realistically go through their point of absolute breaking with horror. The acting was superb and the plot twists incredible. I'm seriously just in awe.

what?

Why is Paul Rudd a Trapper John and the other blonde dude a Hawkeye Pierce? And why is that one guys bouncer a clone of the muscle guy in a clockwork orange? Sloppy and cheap.

I really want to like this show
23 May 2020
I've watched three episodes now and am a bit frustrated. So far the stories are from kids' perspective. There is little or no information about the Loop, some sort of lab where most of the townsfolk work. So weird things just happen with the tech laying about.

These tales would work quite well as half hour episodes but they are an hour each. Consequently, the plot and the actors move at a glacial pace. I've never seen teens move so slowly or scenes needlessly linger to fill that hour.

And no one talks!!! Only in frustratingly short bursts. The parents certainly have extremely poor communication and parenting skills. It seems like the entire town has severe PTSD. They speak and move as passive and fearful ghosts. Well maybe they are. Who knows.

And where are the police?!?! The first episode a little girl couldn't find her mom and no one called the police. She was left to just roam the woods by herself.

I mean I like artsy pieces and sci-fi but shouldn't people still act like people? Is the water supply of this town dosed with xanax???

Good until the finale
21 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
SPOILERS!

I liked this series. It was intriguing and strange. Unlike some people, I thought all the actors were powerful. The pace, while slow and confounding, continued to move forward. But, at the finale, with the majority of the characters murdered, did the Amaya head (Ron) figured he could just live in a SIMULATION with his beloved daughter and wife after he died. WTF. This could've happened at the premier and saved us those hours of getting to the same conclusion. Nothing changed as far as I could tell. Why did Lily have to shoot him!!!???
