How can a documentary be this bad?
25 January 2024
The book is praised a lot so I was like let's check out the movie first. But well it wasted my time. And I started to doubt if the book is really good...

It's a mess, very disorganized and illogical. After watching half of it, I was still like "Who the hell is he?". And his conclusion and the event (the thing he'd been through before making that conclusion) are irrelevant. I'm not a very picky person but still?

I think I'll check out the book to see if he still sounds entitled like in the movie. He sounds like the ones who think they are always right in the film so...

And yes, how his character was built in the film is exactly types of people he described in it: Entitled and not so special.

Maybe I'll change my mind after reading the book. Who knows lol.

Cute & Heart-warming
15 September 2023
I didn't expect it to be good and thought it would be like another cheesy rom-com but NO, it was creatively cute.

The plot is both predictable and unexpected at the same time. The story telling is creative. There's something about this movie that makes it really heart-warming (and cute).

The chemistry is on point. Great acting.

A bit unrealistic. Because I don't know... Will people really fall in love that quick?

And we know quite a lot about Oliver but I still don't know much about Hadley. Want to know more about her except the story of the divorce and the wedding.

Still, it was entertaining. But do people really fall in love that fast? After someone lets you borrow their charger, chats a bit and just helps you out on the plane, I think it's more natural to just be friends...(But if that's the case, we don't have the movie so I'm not complaining ;) )

It bores me
4 August 2023
It just drags along. It can be fun to watch at the beginning but it drags along and it just got boring.

Well, some of the characters are indeed iconic but not worth the hype to be honest. The movie scene is aesthetic and the fashion sense is good but the story line sucks.

Anyway, it's the perfect movie to check out if you want to find some outfit inspos lol. Because everything in this movie is just romanticized. Drugs, abd everything. And they think it makes the movie unique and cinematic. Well, not for me.

It's fun to watch the Season 1 by the way, or maybe 2 if you run out of outfit ideas.

A reminder to enjoy your life
4 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is hilarious and the most important thing is it's a reminder to someone who's afraid to be themselves or to chase their own dream. It's relaxing to watch.

When everything considered to be important by our society (status, jobs,...) is gone, what do you want to do the most?

Akira created a bucket list to do before becoming zombie. He was very brave to have that ride-or-die mindset. Do this or you're better off being the zombie's food.

Our belief is always affected by the people surrounding us. You may be surrounded by unsupportive people making your life miserable. The point is you have the right to choose. What life will you choose? Because when you're really yourself living your own life, along the journey, there will be people supporting you and being by your side no matter what.

So just don't be afraid of doing what you always want or trying to do whatever people tell you to just because you want to fit in. Be yourself. Do what you love. And your people will be by your side.

Heartstopper (2022– )

Best coming-of-age series ever!
2 May 2022
Yes. This is the best one. Heartstopper is not just about romance, friendship, bullying and harassment in schools, sexual orientation discovery BUT more.

One of the key takeaway from this series to me is when Charlie Spring stuck up to himself, defended himself, started trusting his gut and following his heart. At the end of the day, what people say or may say about you doesn't really matter. Mean words are extremely powerful that Charlie himself believed in them, and believed he was what other people said about him. This is so relatable, as I used to believe other people's words about me, more that my inner self. And the truth? Charlie Spring is the "kindest, most thoughtful and caring and amazing person in the whole world" as Nick Nelson insisted. And yes. You are too. You know deep down in your heart you're Charlie Spring. You're kind, caring, and thoughtful. So don't let other people's words make you doubt yourself or think that you don't deserve love. Because you are the most beautiful person in this world. You know that. And you deserve the best.

Wish you could meet your Nick Nelson soon x

Anyway credits to all the actors and the film-makers and Alice Oseman (i don't know, I mean everyone have contributed to this series-making process). Visually stunning and meaningful content! And amazing performance, Joe Locke <3 His character is so relatable.
