Vinland Saga: End of the Prologue (2019)
There are no more words. Look at the chapter.
A beautiful chapter. I felt Thorfinn's rage. I felt the power in Canute. I felt the sacrifice of Askeland. I felt.
Niñas Araña (2017)
Climbing
A film that makes us feel part of this trio of friends who come from the lowest that society could throw them, and that climbing they climbed to the highest level that they understood that the life they led could lead them.
The performances of the three main actresses are masterful. Their performances feel realistic and you can feel the charisma they convey. The movie is totally recommended.
Mala Junta (2016)
Tano y Cheo, two "bad influences".
Tano and Cheo are a disparate couple of Chilean adolescents who, from different places and contexts, are considered as bad influences in Chile.
I think that this crossing of two worlds that are foreign to each other, but that are, likewise, stigmatized, humiliated, invisible and pointed out as a problem without solution is a success on the part of the director Claudia Huaiquimilla.
I think there is a film of great value, both for its direction, performance, script and the reality and closeness with which it tells its story, which many Chileans see in our day to day.
It is a totally recommended movie.
Cien niños esperando un tren (1988)
A documentary that shows the reality and at the same time the surprise of the first encounter with cinema.
A documentary that shows the reality lived in Chile at the end of the 20th century and that continues until these days, but no longer with access to cinema, but to other kinds of things. In this one it is seen how the mind of the children releases the imagination when seeing the films and the inventions that set the simulations of the cinema.
Alicia spent 30 years doing this workshop, until 2015; It reached approximately 6,500 boys and girls and in 2019 it was nominated for the National Award for Performing and Audiovisual Arts, which was finally won by Ramón Griffero.
Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi (2001)
An incredible trip!
This movie takes you through incredible places within the Ghibli team's imagination and Hayao Miyazaki's mind. From Chihiro's car trip with his parents, to the trip on the back of the dragon, the countless adventures that this film shows and the infinite places that can be observed, analyzed and loved during its footage, generate an indelible memory for everything viewer.
Fully recommended.
