Babylon A.D. (2008)

Incredibly Disappointing Movie

Wow, i don't even know where to start. I'd first like to say that,im usually generous and optimistic when i see movies, and usually films my friends say suck, i say they are okay, or when my friends say they are okay, i say it was great...This one failed in 2 very important aspects of storytelling. One, they were confused as to what the climax really was and two, there's no resolution or their pathetic excuse for one was terrible. I don't know whether they are setting up for a sequel or what but the ending was laughable(literally people laughed at the ending). Its all disappointing because the movie looked liked it had potential. the acting was average, but i didn't expect much from vin diesel and Michelle Yeoh did a decent job, other then that wait to this hits USA or TBS, don't even rent it from blockbuster, its not worth it.

Smokin' Aces (2006)

Good movie but pay attention

Okay. When I watch movies,I make it a point to pay attention to every detail. I know some people aren't like that and if they have to do that then it might lower the quality of the movie. But If you don't pay very close attention to the beginning some parts of the movie are going to be a loss to you.

Other then that, this movie was very intelligent and had pretty good performances, not perfect, but pretty good, Ryan Reynolds had the role of his career. He showed that he could play somewhat of a serious role. Alicia Keys made stunning debut. Her character was very likable.

Plot The movies centers around Buddy Israel(Jeremy Piven), everyone wants to get to him pretty much to get paid but there are twists that ensue. I suggest you see it in the movies. Not as good as the departed is but still a good quality movie.
