From Justin to Kelly (2003)
How vaccation should be
What can I say? What a wonderful film this is, a real hidden gem. It is a pure delight from start to finish. The acting is first class, and the musical numbers delivered to perfection, with feeling and a passion straight from the heart. I didn't recognise many of the cast, but have no doubt there are at least 4 or 5 in this film heading for MEGA stardom! Quite simply the best film I have seen in the last 25 years. Bring on the sequel!
Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966)
He's behind you!
Well, this film must rank as one of the all time greats! It has everything; Comedy, horror, gripping tension.... I could go on. Well acted and with fantastic location. The way the family get lost in the back of nowhere is creepy too. In short... Pure class.
The Madmen of Mandoras (1963)
Mad Mad MAD.
Brilliant. Acted with passion, I was incredibly moved by this production. You can feel the sorrow and remorse from the Madmen. One does feel sorry for them. Mandoras didn't deserve what happened to it, but you just knew that no blame could have been placed on these poor wretched Madmen. Buy this on Video right now and enjoy!
La momia azteca contra el robot humano (1958)
understated, classic.
What a film. Quite possibly the best I've ever seen, the Direction, the Production, the score and the cinematography, absoloutley wonderful. The acting is also excellent, and the Man/Robot scenes have to be seen to be belieived. I can not recommend this film enough. Get it out on video now, turn the lights down and enjoy.
Kes (1969)
Underrated gem of a movie
A classic, moving tale. Coming from Yorkshire I can really identify with this film, and certainly feel for poor young Casper. A fine performance by all the cast. What a shame most of them ended up in obscurity (except Ivy Tilsley).
