Batman: Vengeance (I) (2001 Video Game)
My Favorite Fighting Game Ever!!!
12 January 2002
Batman: Vengeance on Playstation 2 is a beautifully dark, computer animated trip in the unparalleled world of Timm and Dini's Animated Batman. The story is superior to that of nearly every movie that I've ever seen. The voice-acting is top-notch just as it was it the Batman: The Animated Series because they have all the original voice actors! Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, Diane Pershing, Michael Ansara, Efrem Zimbalist, and Bob Hasting all return for perhaps the final stand for the Animated Batman saga.

This is my favorite fighting game ever and definitely the best Batman game. At 60 fps, you can see the Playstation 2 at its best. Also, the original music is good enough to warrant a soundtrack. Batman: Vengeance is a dream come true for all fans of Batman The Animated Series!

Enjoyed this show while it last!

Kong: The Animated Series was a quality show that most fans of animation would enjoy. It was unfortunately canceled after about 1 year.

Parts of this show were a bit childish, but it had some redeeming qualities. They did a great job animating Kong and the other large beasts. There was also some good interaction between the three main characters.

I'm glad that I was able to record 3 of these episodes before they pulled it off the air.

Smallville (2001–2017)
Like it but don't love it
12 January 2002
Warning: Spoilers
This show would be greatly improved if the stories weren't so simple-minded. The action, special effects, acting, and general idea are all very good. However, there are too many corny, insignificant characters that take up a great deal of the time. Also, the villains-of-the-week are usually ridiculous.

-----Mild Spoilers Ahead!!!!-----

Furthermore, considering that some monster arises and kills someone every week, wouldn't the nation be focused on Smallville after a while? I mean something needs to be done about a place that some kid begins eating people or something similar every single week.

But that's not even the low point of the show. It's usually when Clark's mom or dad tries to reason or make some decision. Clark's dad gives free cars back. Clark's mom couldn't figure out that this girl was changing shapes despite all the overwhelming evidence, although she tried very hard. Also, although the entire town had been talking about a bank robbery all day, Clark's mom didn't make any connection between the huge stacks of dollar bills that she found in this girl's house.

Worse than that, neither of them understand that Clark's could make millions upon millions in pro sports. All problems would be solved and he would be set for life. However, Clark's dad doesn't support him playing for the high school team because "someone may get hurt". In a town where cannabalistic mutants and fire-breathing coaches are found every week, football injuries are quite a big concern.

9/10
9 of 10, here's why it's not a 10
16 July 2001
I had been eagerly waiting for this movie for over a year. I love sci-fi, video games, computer animation so this seemed like a movie that I would love. I have to say that watching this movie was a very enjoyable experience, but it could have been better.

Here are my complaints with this movie (although they are relatively minor). First of all, the ending neither gave us a sense of closure nor made us excited about a sequel. They killed off too many of the characters. It wasn't really necessary to kill Grey at the end. Speaking of Grey, he allowed Aki to control him too much.

I also would have liked to seen more environments to allow for the exhibition of a wider range of animation techniques. Titan AE did a great job in this area while Final Fantasy stayed in just a few settings. Furthermore, this "Mother of the Earth" junk too closely resembles Captain Planet and that is never a good thing.

As for the good in this movie, I could write forever on that but most of it is obvious. The computer animation's realism surpasses everything before it. I mean, they have the details down to the pores in their skin. The action is superb, and Skywalker Sound did a fantastic job with the audio. The flow of this movie is truly unique. It is almost like a Virtual Reality.

Conclusion: one of the greatest Sci-Fi movies ever, 9 out of 10

Titan A.E. (2000)
10/10
Top-Notch Production
20 April 2001
How can anyone not like this movie? It has some of greatest animation ever from the greatest animator ever (Don Bluth), an exciting plot, characters with more life than almost any "real" actors, and an energetic soundtrack. I feel so great after seeing this movie.

I own the Titan AE Widescreen DVD, and it is quite a site to see. The opening, escape, wake angels, and ice crystals scenes are some of the best ever. See it on dvd if you haven't already because it is awe-inspiring.

I think that the problem with all of the bad reviews for this movie is that people don't think for themselves. One person says that they don't like the cgi and classic animation blend or the story and then everyone follows their lead like ignorant sheep. It's is a tradgedy that the low box office figures will most likely prevent a sequel from being made. At least, we will always have this 85 minutes or so of superb Sci-Fi animation.

7th Heaven (1996–2007)
100% Garbage
20 April 2001
Let me start off my saying that I am a Christian. I always have been and I always will be. Now, I would like to say that 7th Heaven is total trash.

This is another pathetic production that portrays Christians as being weak. The concepts that 7th Heaven tries to teach are often flawed in accordance with scripture. Furthermore, the dialog and storyline are very unrealistic. The parents are basically the exact opposite of what I believe that a Christian should be. If you look up "corny" in the dictionary, there will most likely be a picture of this show.

It is very obvious that the writers of this show have a distorted view of reality and no understanding of Christianity whatsoever. I hate this show with a passion and look forward to the day that this garbage is finally taken off of tv.

The Young Riders (1989–1992)
One of My All-Time Favorites
20 April 2001
I'm not a fan of westerns or the Fox Family Channel. However, this western entertained me for many hours when it was airing on the Fox Family Channel. It was action-packed, violent, and superbly written. It mixed history with fiction and came up with a nice blend. I wish that some of episodes would be released on dvd but that will probably always be a fantasy.
