3 Body Problem (2024)
Unbelievable mess of a story
The top scientists are a bunch of whiny overly emotional individuals who regularly get drunk or stoned like college kids. This is so unbelievable I could not take this story seriously. They also look like they strolled out right off the modeling walkway. Who thought this kind of casting and melodrama would aid a sci-fi series? And is the new thing for females to regularly threaten male characters with violence and this is supposed to be normal? I was floored when the most emotional scientist would rather let the world be conquered so she could go do humanitarian work in Mexico. The whole premise is a joke.
Black Mirror: San Junipero (2016)
Art? Comical
The premise of allowing oneself to remain alive after death was interesting but the forced love story isn't. It's amusing what people pass off as "art" these days. At the core this story is about choosing a one night stand over a husband and daughter. You can try to add any other spin to it if you want but that part can't be undisputed. Like another reviewer stated, if a man chose a one night stand over his family I would imagine people would view it much differently. If this world's view of paradise is about having sex and partying non stop it sounds like that could get boring real quick. Not of the stronger Black Mirror episodes.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Not what I was expecting
Loved Haunting of Hill House. This one falls short. Too much time is spent conversing about things that lead nowhere. Love story was forced and unneeded.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Fan Service Done Right
See the movie! This is something fans thought they'd never see. So many references to past Spidey films its a delight. The bar is set high now. Definitely worthy of all the hype.
Black Widow (2021)
Decent flick
This certainly isn't the MCU's best outing but it's not as bad as people are saying. 1 and 2 stars? Who's the geniuses sitting through a movie they consider a 1 star? Not so smart if you ask me. If this took place in Wakanda it'd win awards just like the average Black Panther movie
.
The Guilty (2021)
Cop hating drivel dusguised as drama
Yes we all know what Hollywood thinks of the police.
What If...?: What If... Killmonger Rescued Tony Stark? (2021)
Worst Episode So Far
What was the point? Killmonger goes through all of the trouble of setting up all the backstabbing to basically end up where he was in the original universe. And why was every character so oblivious to his scheming? This is a totally forgettable episode that can be skipped and you wouldn't miss a thing.
Aftermath (2021)
Overloaded and convoluted mess
It had a great premise but was ruined by the constant marital bickering and unbelievable themes of a silent perpetrator. How many squatter movies are we going to get where they are invisible to cameras and evidence until the plot demands it? There is a reason foreign Horror movies are running circles around American horror, the foreign ones aren't focused on squeezing in white supremacist themes where not needed. More cons that drag this movie down are the role of Avery which adds nothing to the film and the sister who dies and is never brought up again.
The Courier (2020)
Very solid Movie
This movie captured the essence of the cold War with brilliant performances throughout. The film did a good job with the setting and the pacing was right on point. Only truly appreciated by those who realized how close the world came to an all out nuclear fallout during these times.
The Old Ways (2020)
Average
I went into this movie with high hopes. At the time of my review there was a 95% critic score of this movie on Rotten Tomatoes. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. Its not that this movie is bad, it just does not do anything that separates it from the pack of horror movies on Netflix. The pacing was okay, the main protagonist has uneven character development. The atmosphere was the only positive thing out of the movie. Lets all treat those critic reviews with a grain of salt as they just seem to just have a motive behind them.
Rurôni Kenshin: Sai shûshô - The Beginning (2021)
Excellent
Nothing else to say. The movie was perfect in my eyes. Great acting,, great plot and great fight scenes.. Don't understand the bad reviews, they must be fans of political science.
Below Her Mouth (2016)
The film did its job
The love scenes were great. Who watches these for the plot?
Mata Batin 2 (2019)
Decent
Not as great as the first one but was a decent flick. It seems they used their best ideas on the first one.
Mata Batin (2017)
Above average
I watch a lot of horror and this is one of the better ones. If you find this boring then maybe you're watching the wrong genre or you're not accustomed to foreign horror films.
Into the Void (2019)
Overrated
I watch all kinds of horror movies and I don't have the highest standards. I do not find unlikable and selfish protagonists with zero personal growth to be watchable. Our protagonist seemingly makes the worst choices and gets himself in trouble time and time again. The love story also seems forced and one way. These other reviews must be fake reviews.
The Twilight Zone: Replay (2019)
Weak race baiting
Magical camcorder that rewinds time is outdone by the magical white cop with a homing device on our protagonists. If you want to convey some sort of social message at least be more realistic about it. All of the upvotes are probably by the ones who think white cops have magical homing devices.
