High Desert (2023)

Amazing and sad to see it go!

First of all the people who say this is not good at all , I would love to know what IS entertaining to them because this is exceptional writing! I can see if the main character is not for you , then ok. But the plot is pretty darn funny as well as all the characters. I just KNEW this would not last more than a season because THIS is what is wrong with our society. This show doesn't have tons of sex , nudity, gore , violence or characters that are eye candy , therefore the viewship is not there and the show doesn't last . Sad but true . This has happen with several other really great shows over the last few years. Well I am forever a Patricia Arquette fan and I think she did an amazing job and I really enjoyed the show . All of the actors did an amazing job and the plot itself was interesting and something unique that hasn't been done before . I say at least give it a try .

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2023– )

Pretty boring

This show could have been so much more , so disappointing. Way too much jumping around in the show first of all so it confused the heck out of me and it was totally unnecessary. Most of the characters are unlikeable which seemed to be an ongoing theme with most shows now? Well this one has the scorned ex girlfriend that berates and uses the ex boyfriend as a human punching bag and it gets really tiresome after the first episode to the point I didn't want to watch anymore. The monster is pretty cool but just not in the show enough . The show just keeps showing flash backs and there is Arguing amongst the main characters. I'll see through the remainder of first season but I don't see this getting another season and it honestly shouldn't .

Absolutely garbage

Another director such as Michael Goi that needs a lobotomy with how many movies they produce filled with nothing but explicit sexual garbage . Most everything that comes out of Hollywood now has no thought put into it and the main characters are used as sex objects and thrive at just that such as Emma stone . Say what you will about her being a top notch " actress " I don't see it especially when every role you have is one that has to have a graphic sex scenes . When you start to incorporate children into your sick movies , that's where I draw the line . Don't waste your time on this trash or any of Yorgos Thanthmos movies.

Life with Murder (2010)

Interesting story but hard to handle

Just like every other persons critique , I feel the same way. Five minutes into the documentary( and I read people well) , I knew this guy was a pathological liar, and that he had done it. He is an absolute narcissist, and just keeps lying. Towards the end of the documentary when they are getting him to give a little bit more information (which I still think he was lying about!) , you'll notice he talks a lot about himself, and how he had so many short comings, and he felt this way and blah blah blah. Never once says anything about regretting what he did or seems shameful. This is so hard to watch because the mother and father are so forgiving and I think that Dad really doesn't want to forgive him but he's doing so to keep their family together since they've lost their daughter, plus I think he's doing it to appease the mom. It was blatantly obvious to me within the first 20 minutes The reason he did it is because he's a lowlife and never did anything positive in his life and he took it out on his sister who was a winner. And the reason he was going to kill his parents was because he was probably mad at them over jealousy with his sister. You see the way they dote on him and how sweet they are. How could anyone ever believe that he didn't get spoiled and that's probably one of the reasons that he acts the way he does. This is a good documentary, but there really is no happy ending because that girl suffered and he's still getting what he wants.

Get rid of the kid

OK so I am a huge Cranston Fan , so that's probably one of the only reason I'm going to continue on with the show. It's a good premise and all-around pretty interesting to watch. I have the same problem that 90% of the people leaving reviews are talking about and that is the TEENAGERS!!! So they make the main teenage boy dumber than a box of rocks an spaz and a crybaby, and I really just can not sympathize with him at all. I'm not sure if it's the way that his characters is written or he's just a bad actor, but I'm assuming it's a bit of both , that deer in the headlights look every single scene drive me insane! Then you go onto the second teenager the Oh so clichéd "woe is me" and tough chick exterior is getting really played out, It's beyond pathetic . She is also just a horrible actress and I just had to looked it up because she is suddenly getting these huge roles out of nowhere , and now I understand why because her DADDY is a big Director and despite her being a horrible actress she gets these major roles . I think the show has a lot of promise they just made some huge mistakes in hiring the right actors. Also not sure why they had to write in that the teenage boy is sleeping with his teacher, ::barf :: she also looks like the other girl he's trying to get with ??? Maybe there will be some relevance down the line????

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (2022)

Ruined by "Madonna"

I love weird Al and loved UHF . I had high hopes for this movie and it actually started out great, but 30 minutes in was totally ruined by the Madonna character and realized that it would be a major character for most of the remaining movie. Honestly there was no need to bring unnecessary sexual bs into the movie but hollywood just HAS to do that . So i turned it off . So if it would have stayed more on track like the beginning of the movie and more like UHF it would have been watchable . Its was nice to at least see some famous well know people playing some funny characters in the beginning though.

Very well written

This show is excellent and extremely funny. Glad i randomly came across it . Where the show fails is the EX , her character is not funny at all, shes annoying and she just treats her ex the main character like crap and sexually teases him . This seems to be a theme with a lot of shows and its quite disgusting. There just doesnt really seem to be a point i. Having that character other than there ALWAYS has to be THAT female. Other than that , i think the show is very well written .As far as the main character i guess he could be looked at as a bit pathetic and a push over but overall likeable. I think the acting is great and definitely recommend. Hope there will a season 2.

Waste of time . Too bad something doesn't have to be funny to be considered a comedy . No action till halfway through and even then big fail. Too bad they didn't try harder.

So far DECENT . A little slow and the sexual content needs to be updated because there is more than what is listed . I'll watch it a bit longer hoping it will pick up .
