Gangs of London (2020)
10/10 seriously TV has just upped its game..!
This show is phenomenal, I'm not joking the fight choreography is by far fit for the big leagues..! Joe Cole hits hard and so does this show.., like Bruce Lee on crack. I don't want to give spoilers so I'll keep it short and to the point..! A British crime family head is killed and his up and coming son Sean takes charge of business whilst looking for his fathers killer, bringing down a war on the streets of London. The action comes thick and fast whilst managing to not jeopardise the story but only adds weight to the narrative. The thrills are perfectly paced the great cinematography. The cast are fantastic throughout bringing depth to each character owning the scenes with no dead weight..! Episode 5 blew me away and if I had to describe it in one word (BRUTAL). This is a masterpiece and is thoroughly gripping from start to finish..!
I'll be waiting for season 2..!
Charlie's Angels (2019)
I'm a man and liked it..!
Where people get the men don't want to see female lead movies is total rubbish..! I found this movie really enjoyable and fun. New take on a classic with less cheese. Good little story great acting from the woman action scenes where we'll shot, seriously don't listen to all the bad reviews I personally think we live in a time where everyone's a critic..!
Now a days there's only one way to find a true review and that's watch it and give your too many trolls are ruining the industry..!
What We Do in the Shadows (2014)
Amazing ideas, brilliant and Fangtasticly funny..!
The concept and idea of this movie is nothing but genius and comedy gold.
This is filmed mockumentary style. It's about a group of vampires from the old world trying to fit in the new world with a camera crew documenting their nightly lives. The jokes are brilliantly executed and the vampire lures are all here with a modern twist.
I honestly highly recommend this for giggles..! The cast and jokes are spot on and right on the mark..! This really does bring something new and old to the table and cast, directors and crew do a fangtastic job (sorry about the pun)
Seriously check this out it's not one to miss..!
13 (2010)
Simple but bloody effective..!
I love this simple little movie. The cast is top notch, the story is simple and the outcome is awesome..! This story follows 3 particular groups of people.
1 a young man stealing a dead mans identity,
2 a brother using his mentally unstable brother and
3 a convict, these characters are entered into a deadly game of Russian Roulette all for their individual story's. the studio seems to have spent all their budget on their cast and in their defence.., well done.
Stella performances all round as you can imagine from Ray Winston, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Micheal Shannon, Alexander Scarsgard and Curtis "50 cent" Jackson just to mention a few, but there's a great performance from the young Sam Riley who's phenomenal throughout.
The film is well paced and there's plenty of tension to keep you engrossed. The director "Géla Babluani" does an amazing job and I can't wait to see more of his projects. I don't want to give away anymore storyline so I'll end by saying.., I definitely recommend you watch this if you love your crime thrillers
Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers (2018)
Awesome recap of an amazing and haunting story..!
Whether your a believer or not, this story is haunting. Just take a minute and listen to the mans story, can, is and how may this be true, but "what if" it is. The interview is masterfully done by Mr Jeremy Corbell and he really pushes for answers. Mr Corbell does it in a comfortable, professional, and natural way. We heard the story from the amazing Mr Knapp all them years ago but this documentary relives it once again. Even if you don't believe in "little green men" a lot do and there's a reason for that. I couldn't wait for this to be available and yes I am a believer..! Even if you don't watch this there is people including Mr Lazaars wife and friends talking about Bob and his experience and it's done so professionally..! Let's say we don't believe, what IF, that man is telling the truth then this planet is in for a rude awakening, no doubt..! According to Mr Lazaar he worked on extraterrestrial technology, just stop and think what that means..! Mr Corbell shows his passion in this documentary and IMO he does the job.., and does it well. You've probably heard this story over and over again but it doesn't change 1 bit.
Jeremy Corbell doesn't try and hide stuff he tells the truth as it is but in a way it's never been done before. Let's face it this subjects will always be he said she said but if your gonna listen to the story, this is the way to hear it.
I only wish it was longer, if anything this film shows the man (Lazaar) for what he is and IMO only adds strength to his story. For any UFOLOGISTS out there watch and listen as Lazaar recounts his story once again. I for one appreciate what Mr Corbell is trying to do with this film and would love to see him tackle more on this subject..!
I truly recommend it as a watch and I think in time it will be remembered..!
Lethal Weapon (2016)
Where did the Lethel Weapon go, I went with Riggs..!
It actually upsets me to write this review but her goes.., the series went from strength to strength in my opinion but unfortunately died at season 3. I'm a massive fan of the film franchise and if you are too then honestly watch the first 2 seasons. I was lead to believe that the film took its name from the character Riggs being a Lethal Weapon unhinged and dangerous and the relationship he builds on with his old family man partner Roger Murtaugh.
The series had quite a few subtle changes from the film story wise and they was all working, and this was a fun action packed series. I couldn't see anyone play these iconic characters like Gibson and Glover but God did they pull it off. For me personally I loved the chemistry between Wayans and Crawford but if I'm honest I loved Crawfords take on the character Riggs he made it his own and he didn't just try copying Gibson's portrayal of the character, he made it for me also some other actors emerged from this I wasn't familiar with and did a great job at making some new great characters..!
Now for the sad bit.., FOX decided to write out the character Riggs (the Lethal Weapon)..? The dumbest decision made in the history of T.V. Crawford was amazing for me and to write him out with hardly any reason just killed the show for me, I'm sure many agree..! I watched 2 episodes of season 3 and dropped it but honestly IF Crawford was to return I'd be up for it and back onboard with the show. I feel it's one of the biggest disappointments I've felt with a T.V. Show and disgusted with the decision FOX made, what was they thinking they've gone and killed a brilliant franchise for many fans. If I'm honest they would have been better writing Murtaugh out of the show but it still would have had a impact but not like killing Riggs off utter JOKE and truly upsetting..!
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019)
8/10 what to say,
I must start by saying I don't understand the bad reviews to this film..? I really think some audiences didn't get this movie. It wasn't about the crimes, it was about the man, the animal the monster and the effects from his arrest.
In no way does this glorify Ted Bundy a name I believe no one should ever forget not should we forget the crimes he committed. It show how we truly do not always know the people we are around and maybe there's a lesson to be learnt from this. Ted Bundy was a charismatic, intellectual and handsome man.., on one side..! The other he was a crazed, dangerous and sick individual who committed horrific murders, this wasn't the gorey movie of his crimes we've seen done numerous times before, this was a portrayal and an insight into how the monster manipulated the people around..!
I studied criminology, psychology and a little law over the years and I needed this film if I'm honest..!
I personally believe that it was refreshing seeing this point of view and brave..! Amazing performances all round I strongly recommend it for anyone who knows all about the crimes but nothing about the man. Some reviews stated it made you feel sorry for him and at the time that's exactly how he wanted people to see him, I would have liked more reasons behind him doing his crimes but I personally don't think we'll ever really know what drove him to do such evil..! I would put this film along side "to catch a killer" the John Wayne Gacey story..!
Hope this helps
Aquaman (2018)
Atlantis has come alive...!
Amazing all around, I loved this epic film. This film really does take us on an adventure around this beautiful underwater world. James Wan directs this beautifully, and brings this world alive..! The casting was perfect, in my opinion everyone involved brought this world alive and truly delivered. This film came after the backlash of the Justice Leagues failure to deliver to a lot of the fans and filmgoers alike which was never going to be an easy task but they did it and did it with style.
I was doubting this film walking into the cinema although I personally loved the Man of Steel and Batman Vs Superman but when I watched Aquaman it made me think, this is what the Justice League could've been. The cinematography was stunning and it really does pull you into the world, the CGI used was brilliant and captivating and really does give a feel that this world could be real. Amber Heards best performance to date and the chemistry between her and Jason Mamoa seems natural and not forced but I also loved the connection between Mamoa and Defoe...!
If the DCEU follow suit Then i can't see why they can't get back on track with the world that they've been trying to create. In no way was this film rushed, it's pacing was perfect, I really can't pick fault with this film it's exactly what, (as a lifetime comic fan) I wanted. I feel Jason Mamoa really felt this character and embraced the role in every way..., can't wait to see more of this in the future
Loved it...!
The First Purge (2018)
I actually enjoyed it...!
Right let's be straight it was never gonna get an Oscar but other reviews are stating there's no story...! I'm sure I've watched three of these films already and in these it's clearly explained the story so this Doesn't need it, it starts as an experiment with clear intentions. I enjoyed the actors performances as they rolled through this night of chaos. It's as always fixed on a line-up of, I found likeable characters with a standard story for a bit of background character building (nothing Oscar worthy) but enjoyable!
What I can't understand is the reviews being negative all the time on here. If you've gone out your way to see the movie then surely you've at least seen a previous one. In no way is this a boring or dull film it is what it is. I personally don't believe you can give all these movies a 1 I've only ever watched a 100 films out of thousands I'd give lower than a 2. It's a new fresh look by taking us back to the first purge with some good acting and some clever little ideas. If people are giving 1,s they should think about stopping in and reading a book instead. If your going to watch a film called meg for instance don't right a review saying it's unrealistic because it's got a 70ft shark in, of course it's unrealistic...!
I love films always have and try anything if it doesn't grab me in 30 mins then I'll turn it off. I wouldn't go and watch another 3 of the same films it's clearly not for you... but if you like this sort of film give it a go I'd seriously give it a 5-6 and it really didn't loose any points on the acting or even directing it was what I expected and a tiny bit more...!
Spider-Man (2018)
He's just got more amazing..!
Amazing I've been playing over 12 hours now it keeps getting better. The story line is great, the graphics are fantastic and bring a realistic fresh look to help the story along. The freestyle movement is slick and flows perfectly...! The action is awesome as your character evolves and all in all it's stunning well worth every penny...! Get the deluxe edition for the little extras you won't be disappointed
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
10/10 Awesome epic adventure from start to finish..!
10/10 and this is why..! I've watched this film three times now so I can get a true picture of it and honestly I enjoyed it more, the more I watched it. To juggle a huge cast this size and make it work is an accomplishment, and boy is this an accomplishment.
Each character shines in their own way and the comedy is placed well, so not to take away the depth, the pain, the suffering and severity off this story arc. The SFX is some of the best ever seen in my opinion, yes there are some slight flaws here and there, but not enough to take your mind of the story on screen. Thanos looks amazing and for the true comic fans like myself Kevin Feige, the Russo brothers and the team at Marvel Studios have excelled in bringing the dark Titan from page to screen.
Josh Brolin is totally worthy of playing this nemesis and Brolin adds heart, pain, power and a sadness to this character, as always the Marvel team hits a home run with the casting. Every little detail is put into Thanos. For a purple giant he looks realistic, from an eyebrow movement or a cheek twitch to a full on capable gladiator in battle stance, he looks like a living, breathing being.
Where does this film stand against the rest of the MCU, well it's right up there in the top three. Some people might not like or even fully understand the ending, but the possibilities it sets up for the future of the MCU only leaves me with questions and excitement! This film has made some choices that surprised me as a comic collector and fan of 33 years, but I honestly thank them for that, the Russo brothers not only promised, but also delivered the film we've been awaiting.
