The Devil Wears Prada (2006)
A perfect 10!
I never grow tired of this movie. It will put a smile on my face even if I have to do my taxes, have food poisoning, I've lost my phone . . . Well, you get the picture! Loved the characters. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, all perfectly cast. The banter between Andy and Emily is priceless. I'm trying to think of something profound to share, but from my perspective it is a clever, humorous, interesting, roller coaster of a ride. Great soundtrack, too! Random question, I see these lovely women beautifully dressed and think their outfits are still relevant, meaning they all look stunning even by today's standards. I'm no fashion guy though, so for you fashionistas, does their fashion look dated from a 2022 perspective? And no, this doesn't keep me up at night wondering. Ha! 😉
Interceptor (2022)
Come on folks, it's mindless fun!
For some reason this has become a political statement for some of the viewers throwing out 1 stars. Is it really a 7 star production, no, but I put in a higher number to try and counter some of the unbelievable negative reviews. Leave politics, conservative or liberal, out of entertainment and just take a break from all the b.s. We're dealing with globally. Have fun! Try it, you might like it!
Hollywood (2020)
I didn't want it to end!
Enjoyed everything about Hollywood. Nice to watch something that tackles real life prejudicisms (sic) head on, but leaves you with hope and warm feelings. If only it was true. Great actors, sets, costumes, cars, story! Bravo!
Kunstneren og tyven (2020)
An inspiring true story of courage and acceptance.
Not a dry eye in the theatre at its premiere last Friday morning at Sundance. At times, it almost seemed fictional because of the bizarre twists and turns you are taken on as the story unfolds. I sat mesmerized watching as it truly is a beautiful, inspiring story. The "Painter" and the "Thief" are both remarkable individuals. The cinematography was tight; amazing artwork, too. All in all a feel great experience, without being too cheesy. Have some Kleenex on hand. :)
