Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024)
Humanized and Relatable
I can't get enough of this show. Simply genius how they humanized the couple and made Jane and John's dialogue so " any normal married couple" relatable .... their just kicking azz, completing mission after mission and surviving ego and jealousy in the meantime . Also, the leads are surprisingly great together. I wasn't sure at first, but by the end of episode 1 (maybe 2) I was completely sold. It's a weird chemistry that I can't put my name on, really weird. Lastly, the guest stars, from Pearlman, Posey, Paulson (alll the P's) and Michaela Coel, she can just stare endlessly and say nothing and you'll find yourself under a complete trance. Man I LOVE THIS SHID!!!
Only thing, if I had a negative to give, Donald Glover's wardrobe is so distracting in the action sequences (almost like if he's a spy for ZARA or something).
The House Invictus (2020)
Too much symbolism
I applaud the director for the art and the message. However, the heavy dose of symbolism took away from the movie (my opinion) and the homoeroticism left me confused. Overall, I wish the movie had more of a balance (less symbolic references and more story line) which might've made the film just as powerful as what is trying to be conveyed. Kudos for the originality.
You wont be able to say you have seen a movie like this EVER EVA EVER!
Luce (2019)
Kelvin Harrison Jr. OMG
9 stars just for KELVIN HARRISON's performance alone.
The casting was great.... and OCTAVIA SPENCER, she's good in everything but those facial expressions during that school conference showdown where EPIC!!
HOWEVER, its Harrison performance that kept me watching. He plays the victim...the antagonist...the prey and the hunter without a misstep or blink of disbelief, each as believable as the one before!
Ah-ga-ssi (2016)
Great Movie
Great acting from the two female leads.... good looking film too!
JUST well done all around
.... but Kim Min-hee was beyond fun to watch in that lead role - playing the "weak and distress" when in reality, she's pulling everyone strings.
