Be realistic
8 April 2024
This is a pretty good movie with a couple of twists that make it different from similar ones. The acting isn't great, but it's okay since it is getting the message out. The main thing that I have a problem with this movie about, and I have a lot of times with other movies about drug addicts, as I am a recovering addict, and my first round of you saying I got clean and was totally clean from alcohol and everything, never smoked cigarettes or anything else that wouldn't get me high, I relapsed and was out there again for 10 years and got clean again. After having major surgery last year, had no choice but to take pain pills, did okay at first, then start abusing them and then buying them on the street. I have continue to abuse off and on for the last year, but have been back on track for about a month now. The main thing that aggravated me about this movie is it made it seem like the girlfriend just tying up the female addict and seeming as if it was only one night or 24 hours is laughable. You will withdraw for more than 24 hours, but the physical part of it is just a tip of the iceberg. I wish that they would consult with real life addicts before they make these kinds of movies. The psychological part is the worst part because you have to change your total way of thinking, and isolation at rehab for at least 30 days, for most people it takes more than that if they don't have the strength enough to cut off the bad influences. And I'm not going to debate this issue, because I know it to be facts from personal experience and experience with other addicts, addiction is a disease that it can be managed and put into remission but you are sobriety has to be maintained. Anyone watching this movie with just think that you can tie someone up for 24 hours while they withdrawal and that's all it takes to withdraw and that the person is all fixed now is ridiculous not to mention misleading to those who already don't understand addiction. You are never totally fixed, nor cured, it's a daily battle.

Funny movie but get your drugs right and a lot of explicit sexual situations
29 July 2023
Very funny movie, especially the dynamic between the Chinese woman raised in the USA and the one who immigrated here with her parents.

But it constantly pisses me off when TV shows and movies seem to have no clue about the difference in drugs and it is important to get it right.

They said that the white girl on the train had China White, which is heroin, NOT cocaine. And just a little bit of pure heroin, which is what it would have been with her being a smuggler, would have killed them all.

Even a lot of very pure cocaine would kill you if you did a lot in a short period of time like shown in the movie. It's just concerning because if young people would watch this movie and decide to use drugs if they aren't already using drugs, they would think that doing a lot of this stuff would be safe.

Great movie
23 July 2022
This was a really good movie. And I hate when people try to categorize movies as a "black movie". It's not about race or color, a good movie is a good movie no matter what. It has several twists and turns that makes you want to keep watching. A lot of movies that are supposedly good box office type movies suck, but we watch everything on our fire stick, and lightly we seem to be watching more on Tubi, Freevee, or even YouTube. Sometimes Pluto.

Stupid supposed CIA people
29 April 2022
Sad about Bruce Willis, and all of the unkind comments here about him, but that was before we knew that he had an illness though it was obvious something was wrong before that. The saddest thing in this movie is how stupid they made the good guys look by not disabling their enemies completely when they had the chance, not taking their guns, nor any other weapons. How stupid can you be? I guess pretty stupid. And they were supposedly trained military and/or operatives. Jeezy.

Good, clean, family movie but one little detail pissed me off
24 April 2022
This was a very good family movie and I really enjoyed it. The one thing that aggravated me, and it's not just in this movie but also others, is it portraying that people cannot get medical treatment if they have no insurance unless they pay for it. They have to treat patients irregardless, unless it is medical treatment that is an elective, and in this young ladys situation, she would have had a State medical card.

Good movie
10 April 2022
This was a pretty good movie. However, I get so sick and tired of movies where characters are scared of being harmed or killed, and yet they talk in public either in person or on their cell phones. That's just really stupid and insulting to viewers' intelligence.

More addiction recovery needed
28 October 2021
This was an uplifting movie. However, as a recovering addict myself, they made rehab look like a cakewalk, and see if she just walked in was sick a few days and magically was fixed and got out. That is absolutely not the way it works. Granted, she had money and could go to a nice facility where she had a private room and all, but they did not show the facility giving her anything at all to help with her withdrawal, which can actually result in death if they don't give you something. Also showed no group meetings, none of the work that is necessary or happens in a decent rehab. Not a good movie for people who need to go to rehab.

Ignorant about money for school.
10 June 2021
This was a good movie. Coming from a holler West Virginia, it can be very hard to stay here and have a good job, especially if you live very far out, but I live very close to the Capitol. I don't understand why they keep making movies that seem to be written by people who are ignorant about the college system. You don't have to save for college, they're obviously it's a great idea and goal, but there is a lot of help especially if you come from a poor background, and there are always loans. I understand them wanting to paint a picture of a struggling young lady wanting to better herself, but please make it more realistic and uplifting to those who could better themselves who may watch this movie and assume that it's impossible.

Spoiled brats

I get sooooo tired of people in general and this show waiting on their kids hand and foot. This show, the boys are on a swim team and of course their suits have to be rinsed and hung out to dry daily. Like they can't do that? Puleeeze!!!! And the boys "took over the rec room?". Again, puleeeze! Who pays the bills there? Who are the parents and who are the kids? Who's in charge? This is EXACTLY what's wrong with kids today and I mean usually up to 30 years old. SMH
