This is my strenght!
9 September 2007
In 1972. Bruce Lee made great martial arts classic called "Way Of The Dragon". In 1978. someone decided to make …, well, let's say … a sequel. And what a movie did they make! Is it great? Original? Filled with action? Hell, No!!! They created the sickest martial arts comedy that is so incoherent, pointless and confusing that'll left you with your mouth wide open and big question mark hanging above your head! But, is it funny? Man, it's hilarious!!! I don't know if they intended to make a comedy, but if they did … then I bow my head with respect. I mean, can you imagine this scene: A guy is walking down the street and becomes surrounded with a bunch of gang-looking man. So, the leader of the gang says: "Are you Dragon Hung?" – The Guy: "So, what if I am?! The Leader: "Agh, fix him!!!", and they started a fight. What the hell was that???!! Or, some guy walks into a temple and asks if someone saw his brother, and the Buddhist priest attacks him!!! Why?!? Well, to show his strenght by flapping his hands through the air! No, really, I'm not joking! Also, many scenes were cut in the middle of the action. Some dude gets hit in a bar, he swings back … and completely different scene. You are not going to understand anything: Who is Dragon Jung or Dragon Hung; who is whose brother; what do these bad guys want or why are they fighting anyway?! And fights, that is a story for itself. Silly moves, crazy sounds and finger snaps (you'll see!). Even names of the actors are some mystery: Bruce Lea, Bruce Liu … and so on. The only familiar face is Bolo Yeung, who plays a guy called Bull, "who is strong as an elephant" (actual line from the movie!). Dubbing, story, sets, characters, … it just keeps getting better! So, what's positive about this movie? It has practically killed me! I laughed and laughed, then cried, then laughed again; than pinched myself in disbelief and continued laughing … It wasn't just funny, it was hysterical!!! Really, stomach-hurting-funny material! All you have to do is to compare this to a normal movie and you must laugh. Trust me, this one you'll never forget! Ten stars, just for being made.

How hungry can you really be?
24 January 2007
It's very difficult to find the right place for this movie, because it combines many different genres, but let's say it's a horror-drama. What is so special about this movie? First of all – always expect the unexpected! The story goes like this: During American-Mexican war in 1840's, in one of many battles, an army-man John Boyd /Guy Pearce/ acted as a coward and pretended dead, until everything was over. His unit was destroyed, and just when he thought that he is going to die, suddenly something gave him inhuman strenght to defeat an enemy patrol all by himself. That happened because he drank something forbidden … (and you'll have to see what!). So, our hero (or anti-hero, if you prefer), got promoted into a rank of Captain, but because of his earlier act of cowardice, he was sent to some distant, isolated fort filled with many strange characters (portrayed by David Arquette, Jeffrey Jones, … etc.). Everything was as usual, until tired, starving and half-frozen man named Colqhoun /Robert Carlyle/ came into their fort. After his terrifying story about his group of settlers who ran out of food and turned into cannibals, and a woman trapped in a cave who is going to be their next meal; a part of the crew including Capt. Boyd, decided to go to a rescue mission with Colqhoun as their guide. And then…, many twists, creepy moments, gore, Indian legends…, and things that you're not gonna believe until you see them! Unusual story, horrific scenes, extraordinary acting (Carlyle is beyond brilliant!) and directing, interesting music score… are just some of many reasons to watch this soon-to-be-cult movie. My recommendation is to watch "Ravenous" late in the evening or past midnight – Just for chills! Now, if you excuse me, I have to finish my juicy, human stake

Dark Angel (1990)

Peace to you, alien!
29 June 2006
Released in 1990., this movie was a huge hit. Sexteen years later – it hasn't lost anything of it's charm. Story goes like this: An intergalactic alien drug dealer comes to the Earth followed by an alien cop. Bad alien wants to use endorphins from human's brains and mix it with heroine to create the ultimate drug. In all that confusion runs a tough cop Jack Caine (Lundgren) with his FBI partner (Benben). The hunt begins. This time to protect whole universe. Fast paced, explosive SF/action movie, highly entertaining and funny. Dolph is in his best shape and provides you many high kicks, gunfights and demolition. Both aliens are convinsable and dangerous. His partner is … well, he is with Dolph. At the end, the world is saved and you can guess who gets the girl and the glory. The film for all tastes.

Just one click… and you are dead!
29 June 2006
He is calm, silent and deadly. His bullet can hit you from distance of 2 kilometers. This time Dolph holds in his hands a new tool of destruction – a sniper. He works as political assassin, but he doesn't want to kill any more. They sent him to his last mission into the great designed building with a girl who is his assistant (Bellman). While they make preparations, we watch many flash-backs related to their common past and targets from many years ago. They don't know that whole this job is just a trap to eliminate them both. Director of "Highlander" and "Shadow", Russell Mulcahy, brought you another hit. Claustophobic, strong and dramatic, this film really makes you think. Dolph also provided you with fantastic action scenes that will take your breath away. Gina Bellman – always pleasant to look at. The film that is going to become an important part of your personal collection.

When God give you a killing list, you don't think twice
28 June 2006
A stranger named Fenton (Mc Conaughey) came one day into agent Waylon's (Boothe) office and said that his brother Adam was the most wanted serial killer whose crimes were investigated by FBI. While the two of them are going to the location where is Adam's body, the story about difficult childhood of Adam and Fenton goes on. Their father (Paxton) was a madman who thought that God gave him a list of demons and that he must kill them all in the name of good. Sick man! Or, was he?! Strong characters, brilliant script and supreme acting are just some of many reasons for you to see this Bill Paxton's amazing directorial effort. Really intriguing and powerful.
