Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
Honestly a misunderstood Star Wars movie/trilogy
I just recently re-watched it force awakens and honestly the criticisms of the film are just bull crap specially the whole thing that feels like a new hope. It feels more like return of the Jedi but even then it's just a Star Wars movie it's ambition's the only criticism that really works is that sometimes it's to safe but it's really ambitious.sometimes people seem to forgot tiny details especially about things that don't match with there bias/head canon. There's like a lot foreshadowing people miss especially with snoke like most theories that are about him were trash . A great start to a good/great trilogy.
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)
Great ending to a great trilogy
This film was amazing and great end to a great trilogy. It made some of the choice that I didn't like in empire strike (expect for Darth Vader telling Luke he is his father) seem tiny. The first half the movie was alright very much guilty pleasure of the trilogy. Only one scene i cringed was the leia slave scenes with her underwear they just went a little too far. It could have made leia look like a damsel in distress or just not a confident person but nope they make her fight even more than begore which is good. But other than that, just was alright guilty pleasure. The rest of this film was so amazing that the first half looked okay but just okay. For example, the space battle was so good that just made me feel good and joyful and then rebels one it was an awesome still though, cool looking at the empire with awesome vehicles and ships and all. Also, the lightsaber battle was so great just felt like you were on your edge of the seat though I already have seen the movie it was still great seeing Vader turning after Luke finally understand why the Sith sometimes win. That the sith are not about love or compassion but evil selfish and angry and so gives vader an opportunity to finally defeat darth sidious once and for all ever since the beginning and really at exegol in the comics but with compassion more so than mercy. I also love the emperor in this and how ruthless he was and of course we know the next part of the story for him, but in the meantime, he will be shaking his fist at the skywalker family like Stalin in the real world. I loved the Ewoks just so cute and cuddly lol they are so cool hope we learn a lot more in canon. I loved everything at the end especially seeing the other planets the vader funerial and the force. Just a great end to part of the story but we have last part which will make this very interesting lol. Overall, i loved this film expect the leia slave scene that was cringe but over than that I loved the movie.
And overall, the ot is an amazing classic trilogy it had a down but other than that i loved especially the Ewoks and hot battle and endor battle, expect maybe for the Leia slave scene that was cringe lol. Honestly it might be a little to hyped up but ither than that it still amazing classic which is Star Wars.
Rogue One (2016)
This is war
Honestly, this film is what ot Star Wars is and it doesn't shy away from it. There are some bumps in the first act probably to speed up the film but overall, a fun awesome Star Wars war film. The characters are all just amazing, especially k2-so who is so funny but doesn't take away from the character. Finally, the spoiler alert, if there is a "Darth Vader lightsaber scene at the end, was awesome". Just a fun awesome movie.
Dracula Untold (2014)
A true Dracula
This was a pretty good movie. The hate for this movie is stupid it's like people asking for something they never will get agh it's all childish. I love the gothic horror vibe which is Dracula. I wish they could make a sequel or they could put this in its on monster cinematic universe like come on the plans for this would've been awesome.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Indianan Jones with scum in space
I have seen this film in theaters when it came out I thought it was fine. Now after watching again it was awesome. It had that Indianan Jones with sum in space feel which felt awesome. All the actors were really into their roles, especially Han and Chewbacca. Even tho film was good it had some quick flaws I want to point. Lv-3 was great but it felt like she come from lord Miller version script and the same with lando but even then the character was a good edition. This film imo does not need a sequel.but one of the characters I want to see is weazel in a movie. Overall a good enjoyable film that has an adventurous feel that people will like.
Destiny 2 (2017)
Honestly the best game I have played
Honestly this game is everything in what I want for game like this. I felt like I was part of the lore and story. If you get ignore most of the community they can get toxic.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light (2020)
This was my first campaign dlc so I am going to have fond memories
This was best experience out of this game. It made feel apart of destiny 2. Just can't describe how awesome it felt. Expect for the community which is toxic in my opinion which sad but hey ever community has one. Excited for witch queen.
Godfall (2020)
This game does not deserve the hate it gets
Honestly I was expecting nothing really but I guess some people have too even tho you don't much. This game has been a treat from start to finish. Good/alright gameplay mechanics and fighting. Story is so good yeah not as impressive as some others but it's really great. I don't think it should get the hate it gets.
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
This where the fun begin
Where to begin with this film. It's really great better than the first two prequels. The final battles/ending was so emotional like seeing baby luke. However there are some flaws which are also from the other movie. First, they should've explored more with the back story to some of the characters like general grevious (who has his own flaw but I will get back to that). Like it felt just like the others missed opportunities and doesn't help the world building that much. Another thing is the dialogue is still meh/bland/forced but it's not awful like with the other two. Now to general grievous, this character is very one dimensional expect for the Darth sidious talk scene but other than that it feels very one dimensional. It felt like there was more to him but eh there was nothing there. Honestly he's an alright character because of the clone wars made him a little bit more enjoyable not all one dimensional. Not hating on general grievous but just there are some flaws. And overall this film is great the best of the prequels but still has flaws.
Here's the entire thoughts of the prequels. They are good but should've been better with the world building which what most people agree on. Just felt George tried to be like the thrawn books/ the gold age of sith comic book like world building but never understand that it's much book than movie form if done this way.
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
Honestly I don't know what George was thinking
Honestly this movie is a lot of issues. Sure it has some good parts and stuff, which put at 8th place above phantom menace, but even then that's barely. Let's start off with that the very first part of the film is forgettable because of the senate scenes. I will go back to this later, but for now the the underworld plot thread. It's not that great, it's basically okay on concept and paper, but it's not good in execution because it's so under developed and like it's there but just disappears into another plot. I wished it was explored more. My next point is about the character. It's not that great in individual scenes but in the entire movie it's alright which in itself is bad. Honestly the whole this plot thread and character development connects to the whole problem with the prequels is George sort of forces the world building. We already got the world building in the original trilogy so I don't we need a world building like this but if he wanted to he could've had some of movies feel connected. Which also brings up the concept point that everybody Hass which is that George it's got a concept but bad at execution which is totally true. Now on to the senate scenes. Wow these scenes just so cringe/boring that it really takes away from the underworld plot thread and. The scenes basically just throw politics at you instead of having breaks that really make since and make you invested with the politics. George should've know better. My next point is about the love scenes, they are so cringe. It's basically toxic high school love mixed with childish love as well (I mean high school love is childish whatever). Honestly George should've not forced it at all. This brings me to how he handles anakin. Anakin is very annoyed at the stuff the Jedi council and obi wan do, but it's not really that great and what would've worked us flashbacks that would've gave us skywalkers pad wan years before atoc to see why he is this way. Also could've had padme be like more in a say in stuff anakin talks (yes she sort of dose to an extent which brings me to my next point). I feel padme is a little bit better than phantom menace padme. A lot of people probably disagree with me on this, but I think the acting that natalie Portman has is good, yes it's dry, but it's a little bit better than anakin. It's probably because of George's why of handling dialogue. I think that there should've been flashbacks of qui-gon and dooku sprinkled in in the movie, but mainly have in it in the duel at the end with dooku vs anakin obi wan and yoda, which brings me to my next point, the duel. This duel has a problem it has no good breathing room when dooku, obi wan, and anakin fight expect for maybe yoda vs dooku but still has some bad breathing room. All I think they could've done is have obi wan fight dooku first than have anakin fight next so that we can have a flashback about dooku and qui-gon. Maybe have it in yoda vs dooku as well, which brings me to my next problem, which is the ending of yoda and dookus duel. It felt very rushed and like dooku just run away like a coward which he is sort of a coward but that's not the point. The point is they could've had dooku be like you will see your downfall soon Jedi or something like that just keep the Jedi at edge. Another problem is there's not enough bad guy scenes. All I wanted was more scenes with the bad guys but where we get spoiled of order 66. Honestly that's all of my complaints and stuff. Why I put this above phantom menace is because of the end battle, kamino/clones, and the sith plot. There's one thing I would've is more tension between obi wan and jango but that's it. I think 7 is a fair score since it's still a good Star Wars but had so massive flaws.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
This like anime but love action which is great
This film is a love letter to Asia. The creatures the atmosphere the fights. They really took their time with this. Many people complain about final fight but if you watch anime or know of anime you should know better.
Eternals (2021)
Honestly like why are people caring about rotten tomatoes score for this. Can people form their own opinions?!
This movie was awesome. Fight scenes are so great. The dialogue is spot on. Deviants look terrible in a good way. They supposed to be abominations. I liked the references to other stories they could do. There's a lot more praise to say but I just want say my piece.
Ps: What I think people need to do is creat their own damn opinions not have someone else make it for them.
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
This movie is great for what it does but not really enough substance
This movie really is flawed because the way the jokes land sometimes in this film not great, Jar jar is that example. Yes jar jar is an cool character and ahmed best did great, just in here he can be kinda of is to kiddish (I think that's the word for it) but movie is still a great Star Wars movie because the movie feels like an true start to the skywalker saga and how it builds the message of family. The end of the movie is so good.
Scream 2 (1997)
This movie makes the first one perfect (in an good way)
This movie continues to make you think it's this way but actually not really. The villains get more backstory and one is connected to the first movie villains. It really takes it another direction that you never expected. This movie should be watched a lot.
Ps: Wes is at his best in this the movie
Scream (1996)
This movie really understands slashers
This movie starts out with the most famous quote in cinema. The characters are really well done and the villains are so clever. The movie makes you think that's it's this way but it's actually not. I recommend this to those die hard slasher people.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
This is the definitive ending to infinity saga
This was amazing. The acting was incredible and most of the cgi was good. The character development was great especially tony stark.
Spoiler alert
The way they played on tony dying at the start was great and nebula. They completely made thanos much more mature and mad. Time travel is so good and better than other time travel movies (maybe back to the future; I like that movie anyway). And how they ended Tony's arc from the start to finish was good. His death was sad but he will live on. And cap was fantastic. I can't say much more because what's already been said about this movie just go see it
Conclusion.
This film was great and perfect ending.
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
A great Star Wars film but a misunderstood legacy and impact
The film is really good but i have some mixed feelings though. The fights are based part of this film, but the worst part is the romance like agh George why can't you make a good romance? I know this has a great reputation in the Star Wars franchise I could say the same for me but, the pacing and it tries to be too big of worldbuilding. I
would rank this a 7 but it's still a god movie.
P.s: I need one more thing to this which is about the films legacy and impact and how it affects the film. First this film mostly what expect but like there's twists in here that are amazing tho some are just there. Secondly darth Vader which ties into something that's about impact and legacy which is that people have made darth Vader as a myth I don't see Vader as a myth more of a character inside a myth. Here's why, because if you just think of him as some unstoppable machine (yes he's a unstoppable killer which I can note) he's a human character who has heart but many people put these pedestal for these characters way to high and that's why some hate Rey because of the fact she is already a myth to begin with. I see that has just false blaming it's like people forget that myth is the force not the characters.
Star Wars (1977)
This started the greatest franchise of all time
This film was great from just the set design and lore this movie packs it really is a good Star Wars you don't want miss. Without this movie no Star Wars. There are some problems with the plot. It seemed to drag here and there and the luke and leia scenes were good just meh. I will probably put this at 5 for my ranking or just keep it at 6.
