100% Wolf (2020)

Don't let the bad ratings fool you

I honestly don't know why this film got such bad reviews. Me and my partner settled down to watch this with our kids (both aged 7) after they begged us. Originally we were put off by its low score but it ended up being brilliant! The storyline was funny - both our kids were laughing the whole way through. The storyline is easy for them to follow so no need to pause and explain anything. The only negative I can think of to say is that the animation wasn't as good as some movies but still good quality and watchable. If you're looking for an easy watching family film then I'd recommend giving this a go!

Happiest Season (2020)

Refreshing LGBTQ+ Christmas movie

I think the thing I like most about this movie is that we finally have a film showing gay people acting like any other couple. It highlights the difficulties that some people face with coming out as gay and it shows how important it is to be accepted for who you are. It's described as a comedy but I think it's more like a romantic/drama with a few comedic moments dropped in. I think it's a very special film for any young person who might be struggling to come out to their family. They can watch it and, hopefully, see that it really is okay to be who you are.

Kept us on the edge of our seats!

This film definitely kept us guessing. It's great at building suspense and had us hooked the entire way through. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good thriller!

Booksmart (2019)

Haven't laughed this much in ages!!

This was one of those films that we didn't know much about but put on and thought we'd give it a go. We weren't expecting to laugh as much as we did, we were crying laughing at some points! If you're looking for an easy watching film full of stupid laughs then this is definitely worth a watch. Highly recommend it!!

Trolls World Tour (2020)

Happy, feel good movie that my kids loved!!

I don't really understand the bad reviews regarding this film. I understand that people are comparing it to the original but last night me, my partner and my two 7 year old children sat down to watch it (both were huge fans of the first one!) And everybody loved it!! The kids laughed out loud throughout and were so engrossed they didn't even nag for extra snacks! Haha. The film is a lovely, feel good movie with a great message that everyone is equal. Personally I know my kids will be wanting to re-watch this film many, many times!!!!

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (2019)

Loved by my son who's a HUGE pokemon fan!

My son was so excited to see this film and he is obsessed with pokemon. I was glad to find that this film didn't disappoint and it is without a doubt his favourite film. I found even I ended up loving it despite not knowing very much about pokemon at all. It was surprisingly funny and kept all of us hooked the whole way through! Highly recommend.

Frozen II (2019)

Personally preferred it to the first one

Me and my partner took our two children to see this film (both 6) and all of us loved it! I found it did well at growing with the kids who loved the original. I was never a huge fan of the first one and so didn't have very high expectations but I found this film to be funny and it had parts in it to entertain all ages. My kids were laughing and entertained the whole way through and with cinemas being as expensive as they are these days was pleased to see that this was worth the money. Highly recommend!
