The Little Mermaid (2023)
Please stop with the remakes
The Little Mermaid was my absolute favorite movie growing up and I was so looking forward to this. Sadly, to me it sank.
With the budget I'm sure they had, you'd think the CGI would have been better. They completely ruined the look of Flounder and Scuttle, I have no idea what they were doing when they tried to bring them to life. The songs were okay but it was frustrating how they changed the words to Kiss The Girl, that was so unnecessary.
I wasn't impressed with Melissa's portrayal of Ursula, it wasn't memorable at all.
Halle has one of the best voices I've ever heard, she's an amazing singer but I wasn't impressed with her in this role.
This remake just seems to be missing all of the essential elements that made the original such a masterpiece. The acting, songs and overall feeling of this movie was lacking.
I wish they'd stop remaking all of these classics, it's doing nothing but ruining them.
Please start making new movies and get new ideas. At this point, Disney is just ruining movies from our childhood.
I really wanted to love this movie and I'll most likely watch it again but it doesn't even compare to the original.
Aftermath (2021)
DON'T LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS
This was honestly such a good movie. I hate most horror movies that come out these days because they're so cheesy and pointless but I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. Great acting by both leads and there were several jump scares that definitely got me. Please give it a try and ignore the negative reviews. Great movie!!
Yellowstone: Half the Money (2021)
WORTH THE WAIT!!!!
One of the BEST season premieres I've ever seen!! The first 10-15 minutes has you on the edge of your seat and then you're finally able to relax and enjoy the episode. Waiting for months finally paid off and this was a fantastic episode!!!
Halloween Kills (2021)
Why, why, why!?!?
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!
I thought Rob Zombie's remakes were horrible and that no one could mess up this franchise more... I was wrong. As a huge fan of the original and most of the movies that followed, Halloween Kills was extremely disappointing.
The over the top acting, dialogue that was apparently written by a 12 year old and all around cheesiness made this almost unbearable to sit through. I found myself laughing at serious parts because the dialogue was so bad. Towards the end when the "crime stopping townsfolk" decide to get revenge, I was rooting for Michael. Thankfully he came out on top and put an end to the terrible acting of the entire cast.
I had heard bad things about this after opening night but decided to watch it anyways because you can't always rely on reviews... I should have listened.
This was so poorly done and such a huge disappointment.
Obsessed (2009)
Wish Beyoncé didn't ruin this
I absolutely love this movie... except for the part where Beyoncé stars in it. I'm sorry but she ruins the whole thing for me. Her voice and her terrible acting kills any chance of this being a good movie. She's got to be one of the worst actresses I have ever seen. The rest of the cast is amazing, A+ for them. Ali Larter is amazing at being sweet and psycho at the same time and Idris Elba is phenomenal as the lead. I could watch this movie over and over again if Beyoncé didn't come in and ruin the whole thing. They should have casted anyone but her
Habitual (2019)
I tried so hard to like this movie
As a huge fan of Chris "CT" Tamburello and MTV's The Challenge, I tried so hard to like this movie. Honestly, I was playing on my phone throughout most of it. Serious spoilers ahead so stop reading if you haven't watched it! The plot of the movie, which you don't understand until the very end, was very confusing throughout the entire thing. There was too much happening and everything was all over the place. You're introduced to so many people and you have absolutely zero connections to any of the characters. Most of the cast was extremely annoying. All the female characters look exactly alike and I couldn't tell who was being murdered when. CT's character was the only one you connected with and that was short lived. Johnny Hickey who directed and starred in this... I still have no idea what the point of his character was. His acting was way too over the top and I really couldn't tell you what his role was. I really wanted to give this movie a shot and I tried so hard to get into it. While there is a good message at the end and there is a point to the whole thing, the movie was complete crap. I will never get that 2 hours and $8.00 back. I didn't want to leave this review because I was so excited to watch it, but I'm seriously disappointed in the entire movie. Great message at the end, but absolutely horrible movie

It's actually not as bad as everyone is making it out to be...
Honestly, I loved it. This movie got TERRIBLE reviews but I decided to give it a try anyway. I'm so glad I did. It's definitely 50 Shades of Grey meets Beauty and the Beast. And that's just it, I hear a lot of people complain about him kidnapping her and demanding she love him... but doesn't everyone love Disney's Beauty and the Best?
Yes, the dialogue is cheesy and the whole plot is unrealistic. The ending is crazy but I've heard good things about sequels. If you can get past the terrible dialogue, it is a pretty good love story. And no, I'm not crazy... this movie really isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be.
