Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023)
A new low
After the last Transformers movie, I really didn't think these movies could get any dumber, or that they would release even more of these, but I guess I underestimated the allure of another cash grab.
This movie has all the hallmarks of the nowaday Transformer movie: worn out clichés, a horrendous script that might as well have been written by teenagers with zero character development, lazy attempts at humour, tired clichés, the fake patriotism, and explosions explosions explosions.
To top it off the creators have decided to broaden the market appeal by suddenly cast non-white actors and play what they seem to think is cool music. Sadly, I guess it could work but man, how lazy.
I guess it might work for teenage boys filled with testosterone, can't really se who else this is marketed to.
Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
Just horrible.
What can even be said about this - it's just a mess of a movie.
If all you want/need is Transformers fighting and saying clichés then this is the movie for you.
If not, run the other way.
Beckett (2021)
Disappointing
This looked like it could be an ok movie on paper.
Turned out be average at best. Don't know what should have been done but it just doesn't become engaging to watch.
Acting was so so.
Midnight in the Switchgrass (2021)
Mediocre acting
Bruce Willis phones in his paycheck yet again, not sure what happened to him.
The acting in this movie is just horrible. I agree with others that Haas is the least bad in this but that doesn't say much.
Let's not even mention Fox's performance.
Don't watch it.
F9 (2021)
14-year old boys will love it.
First of all, this is a dreadful movie in every aspect.
That being said I guess teenage boys will flock to see this so I guess that makes it a success.
Sad but true.
Wrath of Man (2021)
Dialog trying to be slick.
How is Guy Ritchie even allowed to make more movies?
Ava (2020)
Sad excuse for a movie.
Some big names in this movie. Sure, they all give decent performances but everything about this is average at best.
Don´t waste your time on this.
Years and Years (2019)
Hidden gem.
I watched this show knowing nothing about it and I have to say it was a pleasant surprise.
I'd describe it as dystopian in a similar fashion as Black Mirror but closer in time and with a more realistic approach.
Recommended!
Body of Night (2020)
8.3????
This is by no means a 8.3 movie (as of July 6 2020), I smell foul play here.
This review will probably never make it online :(
A Fall from Grace (2020)
This is not a good movie.
I guess the general idea of the plot is somewhat ok but the script and acting are really not.
Code 8 (2019)
Effects ok, acting mediocre.
The effects in this movie were ok, the acting and the overall plot were not.
6 Underground (2019)
Waste of time.
I too enjoy action movies with car chases and explosions. Heck, I even enjoy Michael Bay movies sometimes.
But. This. Was. Horrible.
The plot is razor thin at best and the script + editing is like something from the mind of a 12 year old boy.
Don't waste your time on this.
The Mandela Effect (2019)
Loved the idea, not so thrilled about the result.
As a fan of conspiracies for entertainment purposes I was really happy to find this film. The acting was pretty good and the plot too, but I still felt something was lacking from the film.
Might be more enjoyable for those who already know about this particular conspiracy, rather than for those who have never heard of it.
Trauma Center (2019)
Horrible movie.
WHAT happened to Bruce Willis and his acting?!
This was a disaster from start to finish.
