I (2015)
Average movie with great performance and great visuals
A romantic thriller genre movie but has no thick plot and predictable at every turn. The stunning visuals and the physical transformation shown by Vikram stands out in the movie. Shankar is quiet good at making masala movies and justifies his budget by having a story that usually justifies it. But this movie misses many elements and verge of being called as boring. There are many scenes which could have been made better with better thinking. If Shankar needs a template, he can check out the movies of Murugadoss or K.V. Anand. The movie is too long and the Chinese scenes doesn't really fit in to the storyline. The efforts of the technicians and artists deserved a much better screenplay, which sadly isn't there.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)
Average movie with too much hype
I haven't read the novel and saw the first movie, which in my opinion is really good and felt like a complete movie. The movie itself is not bad and has a good cast. But the ending is abrupt and you will not feel like you had watched a complete movie. it is like an episode in an TV series. This is the way all the big companies earn their money and not good for the audience.
there is not much action scenes and the plot drags in the expected way. The movie lost the novelty and this movie is just another run of the mill movie.
Go with less expectation and you may be rewarded.
