Lego Masters Australia (2019)
Too much production interference
Focus on the builders and their builds. They're great. What they make is amazing. But production can't stop interfering and distracting from their efforts. If you watch the opening five minutes of the show you're shown the finished builds and the highlights. It's like seeing the end of a film at the start. Why bother watching. Too many handing out of advantages and disadvantages needlessly complicated the programme and adds nothing. The producers and the irritating presenter need to stop interfering and take a step back. Let the builders build. That's what we want to see. It doesn't need dressing up with stupid gimmicks!
Bros (2022)
Oh dear!
There were some very good performances in this film. The lead actor's wasn't one of them. To start with, the main character was quite obnoxious and thorough unlikeable. I don't understand how we were meant to empathise with him or sympathise with his problems (and there were a lot). Perhaps someone with acting ability could have made a better job of the role. Brought some charm and subtlety to it rather than presenting us with a constant tirade of self pity and soap boxing. The character's unconvincing redemption at the end came too late. What a shame the writer decided to sabotage his own film by making himself the lead.
Ojing-eo geim (2021)
Good but not great.
Let down by the ending. Final episode seems intent on wallowing in self pity. The main character comes across as weak and desperate to find someone to blame for his own actions. He was a loser at the start of the series and hasn't developed into anything better by the end. Made the whole series seem rather pointless.
The Wheel of Time (2021)
Trollocs!
Who in the English speaking world allows trolloc to get through as a name for an evil horde? Poor writing and a story line and characters that are far from original. Where do they get this stuff?
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Three strikes and you're out.
Poor plot, badly written. An embarrassing use of Carrie Fisher. The last of three films that shouldn't have been made.
House of the Witch (2017)
Nothing new
Nothing new we haven't seen too many times already.
