The Holzer Files (2019)
SMH
Dave is kind of a weirdo and is not exactly the best actor. The medium / psychic girl makes me want to lose all hope in humanity. Love the history of Han's tapes and such but the actor in this are pretty bad. Just watch Dave get "pushed" like come on dude.
Ghost Nation (2019)
Laughable, but not funny
Simply watch the opening credits and how they announce the name of the show and tell me it doesn't remind you of a cheap knock off / parody of a ghost show. It's that laughable... "WE ARE... GHOST NATION!" please stop making me cringe.
Jason has tried to act more and more like Bagans on the last seasons of Ghost Hunters (on SyFy) that its pretty sad actually. Go back to being like the first season on GH and stop acting like you own the field. Your tech is out dated, your style is old fashioned and you cant hang with the heavy hitters like new GH and Ghost Adventures. Season 2 you ask, not a chance unless TRVL is that desperate.
Ghost Hunters (2004)
Great Show, But WHY where Two weeks skipped???!!!
Love the new show, it's doing great in the ratings compared to other paranormal shows (especially Ghost Nation, so don't be mislead by Jason's social accounts, do your ratings research people!). BUT A&E dropped the ball on two weeks of missed episodes, which truly killed the ratings and momentum that was building! We originally thought it was one week then the second week came by and they said "New Episodes Next Week" and we all felt mislead. Yea they tried to make up for it by showing back to back episodes the next two weeks but I'd rather see a new one each week than watch one week twice as long. So other than that whole mess up, A&E is actually spending time to produce quality content with great production value compared to TRVL who was just throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks. And with all the big talk Jason had for his new show, that was all nothing but hot air and hype (read all the reviews if you don't believe me). Grant at least takes the higher road and doesn't get involved in the stupid childish egotistical games Jason does (at least from the viewer perspective). So keep up the great work A&E, I want to see more paranormal content, TRVL deserves the competition!
World's Biggest Ghost Hunt: Pennhurst Asylum (2019)
Bravo, an investigation well done
Between Ghost Adventures and now the new Ghost Hunters and Ghost Nation you have two extremes. Either you have super over the top reactions and every little spec of dust and static on recorders is evidence of a demonic possession (which I hate to admit is mildly entertaining at times) or you have no-nonsense guys who originated the field and use proven styles but are kind of boring to put it kindly. This show takes the best aspects of both worlds and combines them, not too flashy and overdramatic but also not too dull and conservative. The fact that this team spent two weeks sleeping in a location like this is incredible when it comes to this field and puts other shows, even Paranormal Lockdown with its 72 hours lockdown, to shame!
